You relax, and smile back at her, but just for a second, because that musket is nowp levelled at you.
You abandon the attempt, and in the same motion, you drain her Soul Gem of Grief, pouring it away into hammerspace.
And as she plummets past you, she throws an exhilarated grin and wink at you, and that's devastating for entirely different reasons.
She's still laughing, breathless, bubbling giggles that shake her body. Adrenaline bleeds away as you hug her closer, your chest heaving from both the exertion and with helpless, wheezing laughter.

"This isn't going to work," you admit.
oh sabrina you absolute dork

Edit: Also, since koko wants this to be a dance, then a dance music would be mandatory

Proposed plan:

[] Confirm the matchups
- [] Leave the discussion for later
- [] Focus on watching the matches, you can learn from seeing how others handle things too.
[] Comment on Kyouko's Grief Seed situation
-[] After the matches. Just tell people to bring out their gems and grief seeds for cleansing as if it's the natural order of things.
--[] Maybe ask Homura privately to play along by providing a partially used grief seed for cleansing to normal empty levels.

Basically make it seem like the normal procedure so Kyouko doesn't need to feel like she's getting any special treatment.

Mami dodges it, as expected. It's enough to make her abandon the cannons. Enough to crater the ground, too, mud spraying in a viscous splatter. Her footing slips for a fraction of a second. Enough for your second hammer to bracket her retreat and the third to take her in the back. She stumbles forward, and your heart lurches for a second before you register the bloom of ribbons that cushioned the blow.

Golden eyes meet yours, piercing the rain and the concern that stole across your heart. She smiles, warm and soothing -no hard feelings- and then salutes with a flourish of a newly formed musket.

You relax, and smile back at her, but just for a second, because that musket is nowp levelled at you.

When she fires again, it's not her usual musket ball, but a swarming, twisting burst of ribbons, streaking across the skies like a demented, living spiderweb. You grin, and you dive into it, Grief swirling around you like a blender, wings flared wide to shred a path through the storm of brilliant gold.
Bolded segment would be fantastic in the anime I think. Imagine the reaction images.

And for Grief Seeds... we could probably get Kyouko to accept a Clear Seed now, couldn't we?

Why push it? She knows about them, she'll ask for one when she is ready. We need to work on being less pushy about things.

To me the important thing is to keep her from filling her grief seeds up completely and giving them to Kuybey. So I'd rather focus on that. And that feels like something we can do naturally without making a big deal about it.

Dive, rise, a jolt to the left... your coat snaps with the Gs, booming whipcracks that smash rain into mist. You swerve hard enough to be impossible for any merely human body to survive, and still you barely stay ahead of the shot stitching through the air.
Want to point this out for being particularly nifty, because Lichbomb mattered here. Our superhuman toughness means we won't snap our neck or anything doing aerial maneuvers, but we should absolutely have blacked out from the blood rushing out of our brain, pulling those kinds of G-forces. Implies that if we're aware of our capacities and are (at least subconsciously) aware that it's coming, Puella Magi can compensate for sensory/brain loss.

I don't think we should say anything, I think we should just drain Kyouko's seeds quietly. She doesn't like talking about her situation in front of others remember?

[x] Confirm the matchups
- [x] Work on science during the spars
-- [x] Work on something else? (Write-in)
--- [x] Grief LASERs, we can create photons from nothing using grief so how about a huge number of them all of one wavelength

I find it interesting, and somewhat saddening, how much deader Homura's eyes look from the rest of them.

Really? I think her eyes look more passionate than the others. Probably because of the eyebrows.
