"Lazy animation!" Sayaka declares, one finger thrusting skyward. "We deserve better than that!"

"Yeah!" you say, raising a clenched fist. "No more potato animation!"

Jokes on you! This is a written story!

but here have some salt, and some ash from the flame wars

You pat your cheeks, trying to will this embarrassingly red blush off your face as Mami giggles and heads in to the school yard.

Behold! Sabrina's true weakness! A happy Mami!

Re: Sabrina's theme song.

She should have something super ominous and evil sounding with Latin chanting and so on as a backup song, to go with her super scary presentation and villain-coded power.

Depending on the situation, it can either be cut off to provide comedy with sudden mood whiplash, or allowed to keep going if Sabrina is ever really ticked off.

Something like this, maybe?

Then it switches to something like...

... because going from ominous to a flamenco is amusing

If Sabrina has a Touhou song, shouldn't it be the one tied to a character that spins around in circles and gathers grief and misfortune? :V

Look man

all I know of Touhou is the music and A Fox In Paradise.

Don't expect deep meaningful music choices - I'm just choosing what sounds good.

That does sound good though

Man, this weak arrangement energy, when you have ZUN's original works at hand. You want a theme for Sabrina that's oppressive and foreboding, but energetic and just a bit chaotic? Look no further:

While we're on the subject, you want a theme for Mami that's graceful, majestic, and lifts up your soul, filling it with hope and power? Got you covered, fam:

Sabrina: ~You can leave your Grief behind!~
Homura: Sabrina, what are you doing?
Sabrina: ~But if you don't dance! Oh, if you don't dance! Well, you're a good friend of mine!~
Kyouko: I know I'm kinda new to this group here, but does she always do stuff like this?
Mami: I think her little eccentricities are cute.
Sayaka: Aren't you also crushing hard on her?
Mami: *Blushes* That's beside the point.

Y'all full of it and you know it. Winged Knight has conclusively and without any shade of doubt demonstrated that Sabrina's theme song is:

Back in 2014.

In the theoretical anime adaptation of this, I can't help but wonder what Dedolere's design is like. How can you twist Sabrina's already admittedly eldritch abilities further? What would the familiars and barrier look like? What would the pale imitation of her twisted Wish appear as? Would it be a great, horrific monster whose incredible power was aimed outwards, pointed to ruin the world she tried to save? Or would it be a small, pitiful creature, whose barrier only serves as a reminder of what she said she'd never become? A testament to all her failures, wherein her only solace is in hope that one day she may be freed from her prison by a passing Magical Girl in need of her Seed.

Maybe it'd be Feathers.

Or, maybe, Dedolere would be nothing more than a faint shadow, something to fear but never see. The Bad End that everyone is curious of but pray it never comes about.

Ooooh, I get shivers just hypothesizing about it.

Given that Dedolere is confirmed by word of god to be a multiversal scale ontological threat on the level of entities like UKG, MadoKami, and Homucifer if she ever awakens I think it would be the last one

After for what would dedolere be like, imagine all of Sabrina's worst qualities, all of the self destructive bits and the parts that hurt others, the fact she usually meddles to much, that she often goes overboard in things, that she thinks she needs to fix everything and save everything
All of those pieces overgrown and turned cancerous until they suffocate all of her joy and love for life and her friends
That's a witch, all of those dark parts of yourself that have grown out of control and now are the one and only thing ruling your thoughts and actions

Gretchen barrier is a false heaven, where people are kept happy but really life is still hell, you're still suffering and being hurt and even killed but Gretchen is doing everything to make sure you're not "suffering" as she sees it

So a witch that tries to help and "fix" things, but doesn't know how to anymore and just ends up ruining everything and hurting people out of the idea that she knows better and that if they just did what she wanted then everything would turn out fine

I don't know, "I don't need friends" and "a self-fulfilling prophecy" you could almost apply it to early Oriko.

Hm... Epic music.. Inspired largely by Sabrina's weapon being a hammer of all things, here's a song that is appropriate for a villain or a hero

If not Sabrina's Main theme, it would still be good music to play in fight scenes in the hypothetical anime of this.

According to one of the big theories we've got in play, Dedolere would look like this

Anyone re-read the sections containing Anri? How do we intend to wrap our minds around the facts?

We need to make a planning effort, OOC right now.

The conversation isn't going to do ANYTHING useful if we don't set our mind to it - Anri is a little sick. Don't expect her to help, if we don't understand our role.

Thanks for the reply, couldn't find the semi-canon omakes tab so I used the search function to find it instead.

Also is there a Discord for this quest?

*breathes in through teeth*

There... was a Discord. But it got nuked after, well... that whole incident has two threadmarks under Informational.

EDIT: Clarified by Godwinson, see below

I have a personal discord server which, for a time, was used as a semi-official discord server for this quest (among others). When I got sick and tired of dealing with bullshit from the thread filling my "internet living-room", I put an end to that and started banning the people who were, at that point, beginning to pose a legitimate risk to my health from stress and high blood pressure, because as I was the moderator for the server, I had to read through everything to make sure no-one was being a dick or posting illegal crap. Thus meaning that allllll of the bile and salt from PMAS was in my face 24/7, for weeks during that fiasco.

The server still exists, and there's occasionally discussion of PMAS on it nowadays, but I make absolutely no bones about the fact that it's my personal server, and if anyone has a problem with that then they're more than welcome to stuff their complaints where the sun doesn't shine.
