In the distance, you can feel the three Ishinomaki girls halt midstep, conferring, before bounding off in another direction, away from you and Akiko both.

I don't think they will pursue us immediately. I think we scared them off for the moment, since they changed directions after the clone got killed.
If we are fast, we should be able to grab Akiko and get out of town.

I just realized the significance of us having a 100 meter control radius for our Grief.

The Soul Gem can affect the body for up to 100 meters. I guess the Grief is considered a part of our body.

Edit: Also

[x] CannonGerbil

if he's gonna make a vote.

o_O

...Wait does this mean we can replace our limbs with grief? Can we give ourselves terrifying grief tentacles that extend for 100 meters?!

You know what this smells like? It smells like SCIENCE

Maybe later.

....Also you're not allowed to pre-emptively vote like this. If you have a reason to *not* vote for what I suggested, please leave a comment, but wait until Cannongerbil actually posts something before voting for it. For that matter read the votes and don't just insta-bandwagon.

Also, to all: I edited the vote a bit so that we're waiting for Akiko and so we're not being the Hezbollah.

Welp Canongerbil, it's official, someone has actually voted for your plan before you made it, and this time it wasn't by accident.

If I vote for my own plan without actually making one, will it put the vote counter into a recursive loop?

[jk] Random832

Anyway, I'm not sure on the present plan, but... new (not actually new) SCIENCE idea: grief clones.

[x] To Sakura: "Fine, I'll let that one go, but if you go for the kill on any of them then any chance we have of ending things peacefully goes up in smoke. Our priority is getting you out, but that's not gonna happen if there's a trail of bodies, get it?"
[x] Grab Akiko and get everyone onto the grief express. We're getting out of here.
[x] Head out of the city towards Sendai. Keep an eye out for other megucas, but try and outrun anyone following us instead of engaging.
-[x] Question time while en route:
--[x] Alright, what the hell is going on? What the hell are you guys doing in Ishinomaki in the first place?
--[x] Who were those girls, and why do they have a grudge against you?
--[x] The Tohoku and Fukushima group? Why are they involved in this?
---[x] Tell us everything you know about the Tohoku group. Their leaders, capabilities, disposition, etc.
-[x] Don't be afraid to apply pressure if it feels like they are hiding something or being less than truthful. Start out cordial, but slowly up the intimidation factor if they start to stonewall. In particular, don't cleanse their gems right off the bat, and use it as leverage if you need to.

Edit: Added Phantom's warning to Sakura, because I really like that line and it fits.

Right then - Here we go.

Something to note is the reaction we got from even those that know us. It really does seem like Sabrina is something 'other' considering the reaction that everyone else displays, whereas we don't notice a thing. Something else to note is that we feel like a witch and are going without a barrier - the only other witch that is strong enough to do that is Walpurgisnacht. -mass ohshitWTFisTHAT!!? intensifies-

[] To Sakura: "Fine, I'll let that one go, but if you go for the kill on any real girl then any chace we have of ending things peacefully goes up in smoke. Our priority is getting you out, but that's not gonna happen if there's a trail of bodies, get it?"
[] Talk while moving to intercept Akiko: desription of opponents, powers and whether they're likely to give up and cut their losses if we can get far enough away or it's clear we overpower them.
[] First thing we need to do is seperate Akiko and her pursuers - grief/ribbon wall should do nicely.
-[] Second thing is stop the advance of the pursuers - supressive musket fire to force them into cover and clouds of grief swirling between us and them to disorient and block vision. If Akiko could generate cover ala Shabon Spray, that'd be swell.
[] Keep in mind that one who is calm and efficient in a fight is more intimidating than the maddened berserker - we don't need giant constructs to make an impression if we are simply THAT BADASS that we can simply walk out of Mordor the city, unphased by their best efforts to hinder us.
[] begin the orderly retreat - high ground is good for keeping watch as you retreat - head for the suburbs.
-[]We want to leave via teleport if Sakura can take all of us and grief carpet if she can't - but we need the pursuers to disengage before we can do anything like that.
[] keep eye out and some grief close in preparation for the inevitable ambush and ganking.

Will stop my vote there, since it's likely that any more detailed plan will fail upon contact with the enemy, and likely place for next vote is just as we meet up with Akiko and begin the retreat (and promptly get blindsided by something).

EDIT* single added line at end of update and suddenly this vote makes no sense. Disregard my ramblings.

Akiko isn't pursued anymore. The Ishinomaki girls changed their direction away from Akiko and us. Last line of the update.

Gah, missed that last line - too busy typing. *sulks - would've been a good plan if Ishino weren't a bunch of chickens*

Still, i doubt we've intimidated them enough to back off completely - they're likely going for backup rather than fleeing - and I'm predicting that we won't be able to get out of the city without a larger fight.

Regardless, will strikethough the vote until I get a chance to have a think and edit it properly- too lazy to do it now.

What are the odds that we think we can only control grief, but we can actually control a witch(es)?
We've tried controlling witches and it didn't work.
Zero, since it is not consistent with any interpretation of the wording of our wish.

What are the odds that we think we are a meguca that controls grief, but are actually a witch that controls grief?
We know exactly what we are. We are the teenage witch. :p

That would imply that we're someone who knows the system since the beginning, before making a wish. The idea is too crazy for actually be true (for they, I mean)

Not that it matters anyway.

I actually would like to scold Sakura some more, because really she kind of fucked it up.

Just going to say the threat's empty. Akiko's on her way here right now, and will be here in a matter of minutes. That was the only thing holding Sakura back from just teleporting out of the city. I'd reword that line.

Well that illusion of neutrality went for much, much shorter than desired. By my analysis, we are, in all ways, shapes, and forms, now committed to the Sendai Faction in this conflict. We can try and "be neutral", but I suspect we'll just be laughed out of the room.
Don Sabrina is disappoint.

Will give some thought into any suggested modifications, but for now:
