Nobody expects the Sayaka Inquisition!
Hm! She is made of harder stuff! Sakura Kyoko! Fetch...MADOKA'S COMFY CHAIR!

What is our range of options when we try to advise Homura about Madoka vs. Magi politics?

How do we pass information, and how fresh will it be? Does it befuddle the Incubator properly?
What do we want Hitomi and Madoka to resolve for us?

Format options: Analyst desk, just like at the Embassy?
Or is that "Foreign Service" office going to be the cover under the cover of Homura's bolthole house?
Crime scene corkboard?
Work at Homura's apartment, Experience Big Data?
Create an abstraction, as a game, have many students contribute unaware?
- Might effectively camouflage Madoka's role best?
(Thanks, @Diomedon )
Turn it into financial lingo, get some inspiration by sending her to talk to Junko?
Add more!
A general concept is that the world is currently much like this - any Potential is not at risk from Magical Girl violence, when they don't stand out from the population. It is classic "security through obscurity." Only a top-tier magic, such as precognition, changes that landscape. So my theory is that lumping in enough mortals near what our friends are doing will let the basic security measures work.
If some girl in another city asks Kyuubey "how do I break up the command infrastructure in Mitakihara," and it decides to answer his most reasonable interpretation would include "they incorporate 18% of the student body as some sort of panel" rather than "two regular humans are in your way." Without Kyuubey, most girls would not even be able to identify an advisory board of mundane humans, nor would most care.

The magic is needed to make our secret sauce. A proper way to pass the messages.

Homura gave the go-ahead on Witchbombing Sayaka. I'm hype.
and making jokes herself is great.
Obvious and overflowing positive signs. For all we have years of this in front of us, the future is coming out better.
Homu being comfortable enough around us to do weapon maintenance is nice.
Looks like this is her fidget spinner. But practical. Kinda visible IRL, for some. There are far worse stress behaviors, we acn at least share it with her.
Homura isn't a functional adult now. That isn't the whole picture. Given her many years of effort, it would only be right to find some of her had to become un-childish. Until we can reign in the threatening parts of her world, she is fantastically adapted to it. I cry, and smile at the same time. Opening up her social horizon over then next few years might bring in the needed experiences. We need advisors, badly.

I figured I'd try my hand at votecrafting! I think that this is everything we have left to talk about regarding our immediate plans with Homura. The therapist is important to bring up as it has been our plan for the longest time and we haven't done anything besides mention it in passing, and we should get Homura's input on it.

I'm not particularly attached to bringing Hitomi and Madoka in regarding Tokyo Council politics, but if we are seriously thinking about it, we should bring it up to Homura now rather than later.

Rehatched grief seeds is something that we just need to know for sure, and there's no harm in asking Homura about it.

I think this scene was really 'Sabrina is best daughter'.

bringing Hitomi and Madoka in regarding Tokyo Council politics,
I'm thinking about this from a defensive standpoint. "Defense in depth." Her advisor role represents a behavioral sink, since Madoka at this time might be unable to restrain some of her feelings. If we give her an outlet for those feelings, she may learn to master their expression. THAT will mean she is not going to be cornered into a Wish. Putting a "wall" around her is lesser protection. While the wall is up, we need to make the girl inside strong enough to not need the wall. As her friend, we want her to be part of our world. Since Magic is part of her world, we need answers to that.
If done right, we should be able to share the Magic, without making her desire to trade her soul for it. Part of that road might be generosity - the right sort of sharing. And this is very hard. Smoking prevention is hard. Underage driving is tough to restrain. But we have to succeed. Zero tolerance plays into Kyuubey's paws.
I'd also like to have her free to be the sort of person she wants to be, both for her sake, and Homura's.

More thoughts?

* We will likely need to explain our definition, and actions regarding low self-esteem. It isn't one of Homura's key insights.
* By starting the Madoplomacy talk, we imply the need for how that gets done. Should we make that explicit with Homura now?
* The enabling magic might be telepathy router? Or are we going with an online community? Enchanting is next, so this might be a good topic?

* Predict that Sayaka could sleuth out the secrets - but that it should not be immediate. I think that would be correct as well as less alarming.

A thought just occurred to me. Have we ever just asked Homura, "has there been any questions you've wanted answered? I'll try to answer them best I can", or some variation there of? Give Homura more agency by allowing her to probe our Meta-knowledge instead of us giving her regular info dumps every now and then.

Or in my delirium from lack of sleep did I forget a time we've simply asked her what she would like to know... because that's entirely possible.

Regarding "Witch-cycling", there is a "conservation of" answer to this? It might be that the amount of cleansing diminishes in rounds 2 to (n). Provided the goal is to dump Grief into the Seed, isn't it going to build up?

Therefore, drop this, focusing on the other Grief Seed lines?

Hmmm...
* Mention that there are a few groups that may be Witchbombed in Tokyo - what is Homura's advice? I'd be thinking to do some headhunting, all things being equal?

For the Enchanting session, having Mami do the following: lecture / demo her Mental Protection to all.

Give Mami a Speckled Booster to copy -
goal, start copying our most powerful current enchantment, Privacy.
If we enchanted phones that shroud the user and the connection to the other enchanted phone, we would have a Kyuubey proof message relay - even for mortals.
Blackphone, turned up to 11.

I disagree with bringing up
--[x] If she has some right now, offer to turn them into clear seeds at some point, since using them like ordinary seeds would mean eventually giving Kyuubey 'impossible' grief seeds.

This indicates that we either lack trust in Homura to think of stuff like this, if she already has countermeasures, or if she doesn't, she will berate herself for not thinking of this sooner and it'll fuel her "Sabrina's doing so much better than me" thought process that we don't want. I have no objection to offering to clear seeds though.

In fact, my bias is for never sending another Grief Seed down Kyuubey ever again. But we can't do that yet. We want to save those girls.

A concept for what Enchantment practice should turn into someday? Magi can draw forth and handle magic... but IMHO, Magic is a human universal phenomenon. In physical contact, could the control of enchantment be shared? Quick, call Yuri and get her on this!

Regarding Sayaka and her Witchbomb future -
Be as good as out word.
Plan, with Homura, how. Now?

Sayaka will need support, as most do right after the blow is struck.
Have Homura plan out the conversation, with Homura in that scene.

Can we have Homura be the aftercare provider here? That keeps them both near Madoka, allows care during school hours if needed, and feeds into exactly what both of them need. Instead of hearing about Sayaka becoming part of Homura's life from us, she will be forging the bond. Sabrina can be on call if Homura would have any want of coaching. Sabrina doesn't have cover to enter all the places Homura can, and logically her task is a group sleep-over on the night after. Sayaka can brood, and simply being able to break the loop should be what counts.
A buddy system is probably the goal. We need to build experience, as this isn't the last time we will be initiating someone into reality.

Sabrina will still get a good serving of this, not to fear. Spreading it out works right in my imagination.

Should we try following along, and clean a gun as well while we talk? Shotgun is a good place to start, there is probably a clutch of the same model in her inventory. Mami was a big influence, back in the day ; )

We should tell Homura "If Sayaka asks, we went to Jupiter this time" referencing the joke we made earlier about going to Mars in timestop before we drop out of timestop.

TBH I was expecting more explanation apropos of what the Incubators are, and their alleged goals (as well as our theories on the subject). It doesn't really matter I guess, but I don't recall if Homura even knows that they're aliens. Or a hive mind.

[x] Madoka has low self esteem, and always wants to help. That's why she's at such high risk of contracting.
-[x] Sayaka had an interesting insight based on Madoka and Hitomi's performance in the Model UN.
-[x] Discuss involving Madoka and Hitomi in Tokyo political analysis. Respect Homura's fears and concerns.
--[x] Madoka wouldn't need to directly encounter any outside magical girls, while still significantly assisting our group.
--[x] By feeling like she's helping, she will feel less pressure to contract.
[x] Ask Homura if there's anything that she's wanted to know.
-[x] If she does, answer it fully, to the best of your ability, unless it would lead to Potentialbomb.
[x] Leave timestop. Give Mami a big, spinning, silly hug.
-[x] Cut to voting to decide what to work on and what topics to discuss.

There are a couple of ideas that have been bouncing around in my head for awhile and I'd like to hear what people think of them.

We should lichbomb and witchbomb Kyouko before we witchbomb Sayaka. She deserves to know, I think she can handle it emotionally, and this is information she probably needs to know to be an effective guardian for Yuma. It also has the added benefit of giving Sayaka (and eventually Mami) a bigger support group once we tell them.

We should start taking Oriko and possibly Kirika with us when we negotiate with meguca in other cities. This serves several purposes, but the big ones are getting them out of the city and away from whatever might be trying to fulfill Oriko's death prophecy, and keeping them further away from Madoka to give Homura some additional peace of mind.

People have probably already brought up stuff like this in the 6,000+ pages of the thread, but I don't remember those discussions and don't think we've talked about any of this recently.

Kyouko takes the Witchbomb really, really badly in the extended PMMM materials - she basically becomes passively suicidal, seeking a cause to sacrifice herself for.

By contrast, Sayaka handles the Witchbomb extremely well in Magia Record.

I forget, have we told Homura that we're visiting Fukushima tomorrow yet? It's not a high security matter that requires timestop, but it feels like something she might want to talk about during the enchantment session at least since she's the one setting up the safehouse.

I was planning on discussing that out of timestop, so everyone can hear it and contribute.
