Oh, man, yeah. That's excellent. We DO have the Oriko Early Warning System to warn us if things are about to go south, so we should SCIENCE as much as we want.

Within some limits:
1: We have to make sure either she is actively scrying us or we're giving her specific questions about what would happen if we took X action. Relying on the idea that she'll jump in anytime we're about to do something catastrophically stupid is asking for... well, stupid catastrophes.
2: We have to make sure what we're doing doesn't seem flippant or useless, or we risk annoying Oriko unnecessarily.
3: There are limits to the scale of action we can ask her to predict and the length of time we can have her scrying for us. As as been demonstrated previously, Oriko's prophecy abilities are stressful for her to use, physically and mentally, especially when we're involved since we have odd effects on the threads of fate.
(Edit) 4: To clarify what I mean by "scale" above: Complex situations with lots of moving parts like multi-meguca battles or far-reaching events like Madoka contracting or Sabrina witching out are the sort of thing that seem to cause Oriko headaches and mental stress when scrying on them. We can't really have her trying to predict that sort of thing while we're in the field real-time making changes and expect her to be able to jump in time to stop us from doing stupid things, simply because she likely can't keep up with it.

...and now that I think about it, I seem to recall us already getting Oriko in on one of our science sessions precisely for the purpose of interrupting us in case what we wanted to test was about to blow up. Does anyone else remember this, or am I hallucinating?

dat glorious sidetail. seriously its like Koko's ponytail, except on the side of her head. that's a lot of fucking hair to have hangin' off the side of your head.

...I would like to note that Oriko's precog ability is pretty freaking expensive to use for her, and wherever we go to begin an experiment that has us asking Oriko 'Will the entire city be on fire in the next 10 minutes?' it won't be anywhere near her.

Oh guys. I have an experiment that doesn't involve grief.

If we, for example, bring Oriko's soul gem far, far away from her that it can't control her body anymore, can we still telepathy with her even if she's just a gem?

Probably not. If Sayaka is anything to go by, a girl separated from her Gem is completely unreceptive; Sayaka didn't even realize that anything had happened.

^ Yeah, but Sayaka is worst meguca. (I'm kidding. Her moveset in that puella magi fangame is horrible though)

In Grief Syndrome? Downright OP damage healing/health and amazing crowd control plus very intuitive attacks (hard to mess up aoe sword charges) make her the best of the lower difficulty megucas right up to "AAAAAAAAAA" difficulty levels...or that was my experience anyway. :p

(You should play Grief Syndrome. You'll hate Sayaka too, after using her)

Edit: @Ugolino Maybe I just suck at using Sayaka.

I had no problem wiith Homura, Madoka and Mami, a SMALL problem with Kyouko, but I couldn't even use Sayaka. ESPECIALLY with HN Elly. That was the worst.

Not to mention cheapest SG cost to heal and resurrect, high defense absurdly fast attacks and lol never ending melee combos.

Wait...you managed to get Madoka to work well for you but not Sayaka? Wow.

Elly is an all around pain in the ass for everyone.
