RE: Sayaka, I'm not sure how much of this is my own biases, but I'm worried that this is moving a little too fast. From her perspective we only just told her yesterday afternoon. I'd rather err on the side of giving her a bit more time.

Beyond that, I'd like to recommend:
[] Play with Aurora. Share some of the happier things that happened since you last fed her.
-[] Experiment with what kinds of experiences you can encode into magic. Try to encode pleasing sights, sounds, and flavors or, failing that, reactions to them.

(Yes, I am suggesting we eat ice cream while overlooking the Mitakihara skyline and share the experience with Aurora.)
 
So, we were able to cleanse Sayaka through her clone, but she wasn't too kosher with Soul Snuggles.

We also can control Grief outside our range, by Soul Snuggling with Mami through her Ribbons.

So I think Soul Snuggles are the first step.

We should test this. We could do this this very morning.

Before they enter school, give Mami, Sayaka or Homura an enchanted marble, and while they're at school, have one of them channel magic into the marble (we would be the one receiving Soul Snuggles instead of them) and try to use this connection to cleanse them.

.

And then we could test how feasible it is to use Soul Snuggles as a way to fake meguca being in our range and cleansing them. We could, say, give primed Grief to the Pleiades and have them leave some of their own enchanted objects with us.

Then we could test doing Soul Snuggles one way or the other, and cleanse them while they're in Asunaro, all the way from Mitakihara. See how well it works.



EDIT: We could surprise Mami by trying to cleanse her through our Ribbon Bracelet when she's at school. :V

That has been, for 5,884 pages of quest, the only way Sabrina has ever phrased anything involving her liking some facet of Mami.

Are these two characters together merely because they're alone apart from each other? Obviously not. There is quite clearly attraction there. And yet it goes almost entirely unvocalized -- tied up in the ropes we've all talked about lately, of Sabrina's unwillingness to admit that she can want things, and of her fear that vocalizing her own wants is potentially manipulative.

And so in the past, what we've allowed has been precisely what you quoted: when Mami asks if something is acceptable, we assure her that it is, even that we enjoy it when she acts in such ways.

I'm sick of it, and I've been sick of it ever since 2000 pages ago in that chapter we bottled up our own feelings and restrained ourselves to only giving reassurance and affirmation.

And for those same reasons, I'm almost completely certain that yes, this would be very unfamiliar terrain for Sabrina, that yes, there would be stumbling and blushing involved. After all that repressing? Yeah.

So, let me make all of that completely clear. I am voting to tell Mami that Sabrina finds it attractive when she is being confident and passionate.

That particular trait doesn't really come directly from the thread. It would be rather difficult for it to -- or I should hope so, anyway. But, well -- again:

How in blazes do you read that in any other way? Filtered through Sabrina's perception of Mami: girlfriend, this is what the thread's admiration of Mami's badassery looks like. Sabrina likes it.

I agree! There is not a single person in this thread who disagrees! That is not what we're talking about! The only disagreement here is whether we want to go in having made a conscious decision to blush and stammer, because if you're right about it being how Sabrina will naturally say it, that line is entirely unnecessary and will change nothing.

Please, just leave any blushing to Sabrina. If you're right she'll do it anyway and the update looks exactly the same as if you did nothing, and if you're wrong the interaction is much more natural than if you have her blush and stammer anyway. I don't understand why you think this is asking anything at all of you.
 
I'm with Torg on this one. If Sabrina is going to blush, she'll do it with or without that vote line. And if Sabrina wouldn't naturally blush, then forcing it is going to awkward at best.
