Huh... you know, Riona doesn't have much motive to kill Oriko, being a fresh arrival from the other side of the world and all. Maybe it's accidental as a result of her trying to diagnose and/or cure Oriko's wish rejection issue?

The general idea does sound like a plan, actually. I'm half tempted to backtrack on the 'help Riona to her accomodations' and just go 'awesome, let's get to the point, shut up, follow me, and talk only once I tell you to', then go to the rooftop, make privacy thing, explain the bare details, demand to know her intentions, opinion about KB, find her WItchbomb status, and go from there.

Because I subsequently got up to go claw at my head for, oh, an hour and a half and wanted a decent proxy? It was a very productive session of clawing at my head, I must add.

I seriously don't think we should be openly wary of her. Imagine how would this conversation go if Riona was wary of us suddenly filling her gem with grief and decided not to get within 100m of us, only talking via her telepathy.
Not to mention that if she does something to us, a good portion of the world will be after her.

We need to trust her.

Start by offering cleaning. She may be high on grief.

Assume knows witchbomb but the game must be played. Question is if she values care or speed. I'd lean toward care - veteran soulguca, no such thing as old bold.

"I have no idea" is a flat lie. We also have no idea what the dinosaurs looked like or how old the sun is. We don't know, but pretending we don't have a couple leading hypotheses is catastrophically misleading. If you want to be technically and morally correct, say "my best guesses are XYZ and they're <this> good".

Say we don't talk about it where Kyubey can hear. Begin enchanting grief for privacy sphere. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TRANCE OUT. Her big fear right now is probably that we're some kind of witch. Use happy-enchanted grief, she can probably sense it.

Show clear seed. She itches for research. Use one of the ones that's currently snuggling in happy grief.

Contact Niko, we're going to need backup handling Riona, she's too intense for the thread.

Be straight (as much as can, lol) and to the point. Small updates.

Yes we have an excuse to be pissed, but being rude back is pretty much universally the most efficient method to start a fight. And I have no idea where people get the notion that Rionna's one of the rare exceptions to that rule.

I don't think Niko can help us much just yet? I did make a note in the planner to call her, but I was thinking of doing that after talking with Riona.

Okies, so, Riona's most recent question-question is "what's the story", and 'what are you?'. The latter is a bit hard to get in on, since all our intel is unconfirmed, but hey, we do all up and have a story. What are people's thoughts on having Sabrina be low-key aware that she's a quest protag? Figure it'll definitely near term be up for "this may or may not be relevant information depending on what Riona sees in our soul", even if it's not quite this vote we want to do anything near touch on the matter.

More relevantly, answering what's the story with "It's long, I'm not quite sure, Kyubey thought I was weird too, I was hoping you knew more, actually; let's talk about this under a privacy construct to keep bunnycats out" is, actually, a direct answer to her question. So, points to that type of answer? Ehhhhhhh.....

I'm pretty sure he will not. This is what people call "too much meta". In this very instance, it will deprive Sabrina of any agency other than being an amalgamation of questers' thoughts and votes.

If he wanted to make something like that, he'd do it from the start, I think.

As I recall reading, players at the start were given the option to go as full meta as they wanted, I think? It's just that people at the time seemed to share the opinion that this far was far enough?
 
my two cents.... she's coming off as a little rude, but not heavily so given the circumstances. If this was me I'd answer her question in a general sense. She asked what we are. My reply would be that we have theories but no firm proof for any of them, then again we did wake up in an alley way X weeks ago right before we made our wish to be a MG. At that point I'd offer in polite tone (not formal, merely polite... which no idea how that works in japanese with all their honorifics and shit...) to head somewhere more private to discuss matters and/or transport to wherever she decided to stay.
