I know that I would find it obnoxious as all fuck if somebody did it to me, if not downright malicious. And Sayaka expresses her annoyance every time we do it.
Sayaka was mad when we woke her up by yelling. Not very mad; she paid us back for it.

And then we decided to not do it again; next time we did the greeting, it was later in the morning, when everyone was already up.

When the clone disappears, where does the food go?
Have the clone jump into a garbage bag before dispelling.

Or into 4D space (warning, 4D space may become yucky and/or a mystery goo containment unit).

Edit: Apropos of this, should probably not tell Koko that since meguca technically don't need to eat, meguca eating is kind of wasting food.

Though- meguca bodies run like normal unless they use magic to make up the difference. So it's not unlikely that while meguca don't need to eat, if they don't eat, they need a sufficient supply of magic to offset their body's running costs. And Grief Seeds are at more of a premium than food, so, food's prolly more resource-efficient? Now, of course, with Clear Seeds, that's not as much of an issue, but then we get into morale and the experience of human-things like the eating of the things, and how those weight against resource constraints- and that's it's own discussion, mwargh?

... prolly still not a debate to open with the Koko, though.

I do not think Kyouko is up to debating the subtleties of the human condition, no.

Mixed Phoenixian's and Onmur's votes a bit. I thought it was weird how Phoenixian's vote had us go GOOD MOURNING MITAKIHARA first thing, and then ask Kazumi and Niko that we could talk later if they needed more sleep, and then place a 'not too early' condition on the other telepathy, despite us already haven woken up everybody. Also, the 'good mourning' pun doesn't actually work because 1: it's vocalized, this pun only works if you see it in text, 2: It's in poor taste because plenty of the people we're talking to actually have things to mourn, and 3: We're talking in Japanese.

Right, since it's been getting multiple complaints I've removed the random compliment and mourning/morning jokes.

I had always intended that the break in timing was whether Kazumi decided to go through with the broadcast that bright and early. I've moved things around so that may help make it clearer.

[X] Good Morning Mitakihara!
-[X] Invite Kazumi for Radio Morning Asunaro too.
--[X] Check with Kazumi whether Asunaro would rather sleep in a bit before the broadcast.
[X] After the conversation, if it went through: Kazumi, Niko:
-[X] Ask about Hijiri, share that you want to try talking with her. Defer to them.
--[X] Defer the conversation to later otherwise

[X] Nerd out over 4-space with Mami during breakfast and on the way to school.

[X] Grief:
-[X] Is the Grief you enchanted yesterday still primed?
--[X] If not, enchant enough Grief for a Privacy Sphere.
--[X] Test how long the enchantment lasts.
-[X] Keep an eye on your 4-space with grief fog and sensors.
-[X] Stuff something mundane into 4-space. See if it remains stationary relative to our gem or if it has some natural motion.

[X] Telepathy (not too early!)
-[X] Hijiri (unless Kazumi or Niko disagree)
--[X] Be polite.
--[X] Offer an update on Anri.
--[X] Ask about her Grief levels.

[X] Warn and visit O&K.

Thanks for improvements!
PLUS hiring search starts at the beginning of the workday, not the end!

[X] Telepathy (not too early!)
-[X] Kazumi, Niko:
--[X] Delay if they want to sleep in a bit.
--[X] Coordinate with Kazumi: GOOD MOURNING ASUNARO AND MITAKIHARA! (English language IC)
--[X] Give a randomly selected affirmation

[X] After that conversation, :
-[X] Discuss desire to try talking with Hijiri. Defer to them.
--[X] Ask about mealtimes at Kanna family table. You might share food with Hijiri sometime.

[X] Mami: read Mami in on your 4-space experiments.
-[X] Walk Mami to school.

[X] Grief:
-[X] Is yesterday's enchanted Grief still primed?
--[X] If not, enchant enough Grief for a Privacy Sphere.
-[X] Maintain sensors / utility fog in 4-space.
-[X] Insert bulk water and PET bottle 4-space. Observe behavior.

[X] Telepathy (next)
-[X] Hijiri (unless Kazumi or Niko disagree)
--[X] Be polite.
--[X] Offer an update on Anri.
--[X] Ask if she's doing okay: grief, food, shelter, etc.

[X] Contact Mrs. Shizuki, request therapist hiring.

The "random compliment" thing seems like it would just be awkward and confusing for whoever was on the receiving end, and probably not endear them to us. Can we not?

In fact, we really should. But it can be less stressful. We turn it into a daily affirmation? For all.
This is important to some folks IRL.
It works.
#######

Random Compliment can be implemented OOC, by us, in the other parts of the day. Bring it up later.

#

We can and should get on the phone EARLY so Hitomi and her mom have time to start processing our request.

#

Checking the durability of the privacy construct would be a busywait step. Removing for now! Privacy will happen again.

#

Compressing! Further!

#

Kanna family research. We need to understand and get a better idea of how to connect. Start with basics. Hard work counts. Adding!

#

Go to the sink to test our 4D space capacity. Water is the fundamental stuff. If it fails, water is easier to clean up than many other bulk masses. Safe for Soul Gem contact. Another object inside with the water will let us see how motion works in there. An empty PET bottle is likely right here in the apartment, or outside. It interacts simply with water, and should also be fairly easy to remove. We can also use 'WATER POWERZZ' as a cutsey trump in conflict with hilarious success? Adding!

Cue Sayaka and Kyouko getting into a lengthy debate on the human condition.

Sabrina: .... ... huh

*Edit: By debate I mean thoughtful commentary punctuated by spears and swords*

*CLASH*

"Justice is a flawed concept, perpetuated by human fallibility!"

*THWAP*

"Stupid Kyouko! Justice is an abstract ideal that we humans aspire to! It's realization is flawed, so what? Strive for it anyway!"

"..."

"..."

"An abstract ideal, huh? I haven't heard of a stupider thing since my dad told me about that prick Plato and his Forms! Provide an example, blue stuff, I dare you!"

"..."

"Nothing to say, right? I kne-"

"Flat is Justice!"

"... huh."

*Stares*

*Stares*

*Starts blushing*

*Blushes like an azure sunrise*

"... Those noodles must have been waaaay past the expiration date."
