But, on a serious note, my issue with this is that it feels like a bit too much. Like, playing a bit of a prank like this is okay, but, if we get too crazy about this stuff we'll just wind up being annoying instead. People generally don't like it when others treat every single day like April Fools, haha.
EDIT: Honestly, doing the 'good morning mitakihara' again might be a bit annoying too? Not sure, though. For us questers it's been a long time between each time we've done it, but in-universe, it might be getting obnoxious. Or maybe I worry too much, haha.
That's a fair note. I suppose I read it a bit differently, in that the sort of thing I suggested was approximately the way a rather large number of the intra-group meme-traditions were born for my anime club/wider social network at my school. On a frequent basis. It's a touch over-top but not excessively nor uncharacteristically so for most of the people I know- although that's something of a skewed statistic from the start, to be fair. Er, beyond the standard "if I've read the state of affairs right" disclaimer, of course. And the "most people being occupants of literally the school dorm known for being the weird", of course, heh.
Anyway, I wasn't exactly
actually suggesting starting the radio station, more like using this as a one-off jumping-off point to explain the random-complement-of-the-day-if-we-keep-it-in-the-vote and also using it to do a bit of including Asunaro in our social network, then mostly dropping everything but the random complements except for special occasions. But yeah, I could see how it may be a bit much.
Honestly, I don't think I like the random compliment that much in the first place. Or at least, not in it's current iteration. I reckon that on most people, it'd come across as more awkward than anything. And some(the people that rather dislike us) might simply get irritated or even angry instead. Also, with it being randomly generated, it feels rather shallow. Not genuine.
I mean, we
do have a reasonably large pool of nice things we legitimately think about a lot of the characters. If we
did want to keep the random complement thing, narrowing it down to the set of people we have legit complements about- and not even just necessarily complements, but people we want to remember to say "thanks, you're awesome and we really appreciate everything you do for us" type of stuff- would probably solve the shallow complements part, at least. Er, and keeping it to "people we're on friendly terms with and haven't shown that mere reminders of our existence irritates".
If we wanted to start getting people used to Sabrina saying nice things about them, we'd have to start somewhere. Just the same way as people get used to Sabrina's SCIENCE! talk tangents, basically, yeah?
Though, whether or not we want to add Complements McGee to the list of Sabrina's nounjective titles is I suppose it's own question.
... which despite my long post about, I don't actually have too strong of an opinion on, tbh. Heh, whoops, end of the year, feeling chattery, procrastinating homework, you know how it is.
