Tone: Apologetic, your not going to say you did the wrong thing, but given second chances you feel you could of done better and well... Rin got it all dropped in lap and Rin is too nice to let that slide.
Specific Guidance: Comment on how Rin and Sakura make a cute couple - got a yin/yang thing going.

or something like that. Basically we all seem to know WHAT we want to do and the TONE but specific actions. So let Sabrina do it herself.

There can be drawbacks. Two-three of the times across the quest, when people left things up to Brinapilot, she... fumbled.
It can work just fine, but why take the risks?
Although, it's not like I'm actually votecrafting, so, I guess, it all boils down to what the big cheeses think.

thats why you provide clear tasking and intentions. Basic mission command (which this basically is) requires tasked groupings know and understand the commanding authorities goals AND intentions. Since, for example, 'Take the town to prevent enemy forces from flanking us and displacing out entire defensive line' implies a very different approach then 'take and secure this town to conduct COIN operations and support civil authority' (namely the former might not care if they have to level the place to win while the second very much would care)

I'm just saying we keep the specifics open for Brina-pilot the actual tone, approach, reason etc is what we decide. We decide *what* to do and aside from providing limits Sabrina decides *how* to do it.

It was just a suggestion given how discussing the vote was going. Since we have agreed on what we want to do, just not how.

basically how detailed the vote needs to be.

I don't think directly asking them if they need help will be useful - as pointed out by others Sabrina basically stuck her nose into their business once before. Doing so again, even for good reasons, may rub them the wrong way. Hence why I was thinking we apologize to Rin for dumping this all on her and just go about signaling that we want our relationship with them to be Cordial. If we have a working relationship with them they will (hopefully) come to us if they need help or at least will provide a better position to ask if they need help later.

Ummm.... now I need to go back to reread how we ended up getting Sakura and Rin to transport us. But thanking them for services rendered - wait umm why did we vote to talk to Rin and Sakura now in the first place? Was it to mend bridges?

Thanking them for the help and comment about the UG. Firn seems to think we need more detail, going by the comment at the end of the update.

OK so we wanted to talk to Rin and Sakura about
- offering a defense pact like agreement
- Telling them how Uni group is doing well
- Asking if they need help.

PROPOSAL
- Open with thanking them for the ride, etc and apologize to Rin about dropping the fallout on her.
- Use that to move into offering the pact, focus on how it can prevent the very situations that caused that entire war. With clear seeds girls can afford to talk things out, things like this allow for dialogue to be effective rather then forcing the use of unilateral actions to settle disrupts.
- There are likely angles I did not consider

basically we use the offer of a pact or SOME sort of agreement (so well a pact if not necessarily a defense pact) to show how our apology and thanks are not empty. It allows Sabrina to go 'yes I aware of EXACTLY what I did to you all and I am trying to do things in a better way'

edit: also this apporach means we make the vote into a single cohesive whole that builds off each other rater then several separate items.

There's been some opposition against asking them about joining a defense pact... can't remember specifics.

Well we can offer to make some sort of agreement with them, terms pending we don't HAVE to offer a full defensive pact. It could be like 'we agree to help against hostile magical girls NOT witches' or just agreement on how to hire out their healer or teleporting or other services.

So basically pretty much what we've already offered? And Rin has offered help for the Clear seed too so if we need healing I'm sure she'd badger Sakura into getting her over to us asap. We really don't have anything to talk about agreement wise.

"Rin!" answers the teleporter, staring at the blonde as if in a new light.

Sabrina's eyes looked back and forth between the girls.

"Sakura!"

"Rin!"

She couldn't find it in herself to try and get a word in.

"Sakura!"

"Rin!"

The white haired girl seriously considered making a Grief sunset to serve as background.

"Sakura! We must go!"

"Our planet needs us!"

Vwwp.

Sabrina blinked.

The spot previously occupied by Healer and Teleporter stood empty.

Slowly, Sabrina raised a hand... to slap her own cheek.

"Shit, I'm gonna be late for mumihugs."

Two seconds after having that realization, Sabrina bolted through the door.

"YUKI! WE NEED TO GET GOING NOW!"

The small girl, standing suspiciously idle a few metres away and totally not having been spying on the conversation a moment ago, wisely decided to not ask questions and opened a hole in the ceiling all the way up to the roof.

She didn't complain as Sabrina bodily picked her up and catapulted them out of the building either.

Well, she might have complained. A little. With a knife.

Nothing Sabrina would notice in her panic for hugs anyway.

(Mami's first impression of Yuki was not a happy one.)

We should offer Rin and Sakura a Mutual Offense Pact.

We'll agree to engage in continuous, low-level harassment of each other.

They can call Sabrina names. We'll have Kirika order unwanted pizzas to be delivered to their address. Then, they can spread scurrilous rumors about Sayaka and Homura, and we'll retaliate by sneaking into their base and stealing the laces from all their shoes.

It'll be fun, and a nice contrast to the mutual defense pact. And it'll fit with their existing motivations!

well considering we already voted to discuss making an offer we should do something - also it was an example. You also have the fact that making such pacts and agreements can be a way to back intentions and words. It's one reason countries do treaties of friendship that do nothing but say 'we are friends with these dudes'.

Also by doing a more... formal agreement with Mami being included as the local leader dicussing with Rin the pact it will signal that we do consider Rin the leader of her group now and show to *others* the same as well as helping remove notions that we are making an offensive alliance for actions in our local neighborhood.

So basically we offer the girls a Pact like the one we will be making with Yuki and co as well telling them about WPN and work from their to see what they want out of any deal (if anything)
