Ignoring all the ethical and logistical cknsiderafions, the basic question at the end of the day is "is this a worthwhile pursuit?", and I don't think it is

Even if we get Anri calmed down and actually find the seed in question, I can see no good outcome to offering it to her

At best it comes off as a way to buy her off or manipulate her, and that's leaving aside the problems with promising to de-witch Yuuri

There just isn't any good reason to pursue this

If we want to try redeeming her at all, or even just de-crazy-ing her, having her thst antagonistic makes our job that much harder

This may be... ethically dubious, but you know what would cleanly solve pretty much all of our problems with Airi being completely batshit?

Knock her down, take her to Umika, apply remedial memory editing. Leave all the happy memories of Yuuri, change her cause of death, completely disassociate the Pleiades from it. She can still fight as Yuuri's living memory without being a complete goddamn loon that's a danger to herself and others, living separate from the Saints; so long as she's not actively helping them, there's no risk of wish rejection. Hell, take her back with us to Mitakihara to further mitigate the risks and let us keep an eye on her/her cleansed, so we never have to risk her true memories returning/Incubator spoiler.

The different Witch names are probably precisely BECAUSE of how divergent Asunaro is from canon.
On which note we haven't checked Sayaka.

Unfortunately it is ethically dubious and on top of that memories returning/Incubator spoiler isn't really abated by the plan. Getting her out of the city might be a viable option for another plan though.

Anyways: A Vote

[X]Let Niko and Hijiri try to hash things out, unless things fall apart.

[X]Talk to Kazumi, Sayaka, and Mami
- [X] Share your gathered info. Particularly Anri calling Hijiri her "teacher". Stress that it's still be possible to get through to her, though.
- [X] Broach the possibility of asking Nadia about contacting other magically created humans to help Hijiri's obvious loneliness or of offering helping to set Hijiri up in another city if things are resolved peacefully.

[X] Ensure Oriko and Kirika are filled in.
- [X] Ask if Oriko remembers anything about whether Kazumi was witchbombed by now.

[X] Hunt planning
- [X] Vote in abeyance

[X] Hijiri:
-[X] Ask how the Niko talk went.
-[X] Non-accusatory tone: Talk about Airi's issues, and about wanting to help her too. Mention her comments.
-[X] Ask Hijiri to volunteer any information she can.

Notes:

Phrased things to Kazumi to tell our info as it we received it, rather than just drawing conclusions and giving her those. Our own analysis is fine to have, but it's better if she has the source material for herself.

Broaching possibilities to Kazumi instead of just telling them to Hijiri. This is still her show after all.

Did the first of two possible things to see if we can verify whether or not we can check Kazumi's witchbomb status obliquely.

Cut recommendation about honesty to Hijiri: Seemed very likely to backfire, start an argument.

...how often do you think things like us happen?

An out and out "support group" might be bad phrasing, but I don't think such people are so rare as to be unheard of.

I think talking about ourselves might be the better option but, seeing as nobody actually wants to go out and do that, looking up other, similar people is the alternative.

Edited vote.

No "may" about it. It's very ethically dubious, at best.

Be that as it may, considering that Airi's literally dedicated her very soul to killing our friends, is otherwise incorrigibly hostile/insane (to the point where there's a non-zero risk of her witching out before we even find her, clear seed or otherwise), and our plans to deal with her so far basically amount to the following:
>Kill her
>Gem her indefinitely
>[SOCIAL]
I'm not sure that brainwashing her is a strictly speaking worse option.

[X] Onmur

While it'll admittedly be difficult dealing with Anri, any negative action such as murder/gemming/brainwashing? Sabrina gains nothing by simply removing Anri from the equation, and all of her hard work resolving her friends' issues is certain to be impeded or undone. There's still plenty of time to figure out what to do, so for now Sabrina should focus on information gathering and sharing.

[X] Try to talk about conditions for Hijiri's future release, as an olive branch towards Hijiri, but mind both Kannas' state of mind.

So, I've been giving this some thought. Remember when we explicitly didn't go to Asunaro? Remember how pleasant everything was? Why did we change that policy?

Anyhow, I've come up with a solution to our problems.

[ ] Physically grab the entire teddy bear museum with our grief fog telekinesis, uproot it, and fly it to Arizona. Leave Yuuri and Hijiri in Asunaro. Drop the Pleiades Saints off by the Grand Canyon, and flee at high speed. Hope that being separated by the Pacific Ocean defuses the whole thing, or at least they don't figure out how to find each other until Walpurgis Nacht has been dealt with already and we have more time to devote to the issue.

How precise is Umika? Can she do something like disconnect someone from the ability to rage so we can actually talk to Yuuri without her foaming at the mouth? Because there is basically nothing we can do about her in her default state. Frankly, I would consider gemming her a mercy right now; I've never heard of someone who's happy about the outcome of their psychotic episode.

Whoa, I leave for a day or two and I miss shit hitting the fan? I need to keep a closer eye on this thread.

I'm changing my vote:

Huh, that's neat.
Just found out about it.
"Insert tally" automatically posts it? Huh.

Hmm. I think Redshirts vote has a better response for Kazumi but Onmur's seems to treat both Airi and Hijiri better.

Though I don't think using Mami's ribbon range extension is a good idea, given how much sensory feedback she'd receive from Sabrina alone.

Just straight up saying "Hijiri is totally the mastermind" should be saved only for a strong certainty. "She taught me" can easily mean anything, and it would be better to check in with Oriko first to see if she's certain her earlier vision still applies. We hardly want Sayaka or Kazumi acting on that claim only to go "Whoops, guess I was wrong". Thus for a similar reason, calling Anri a "unstable lunatic" is bad since it'll make the team less likely to attempt working things out. Finally, Sabrina should at least suggest a course of action for tracking Anri.

Yeah alright.

[x] Onmur

Though I think Redshirt's response to Kazumi is better and I wouldn't mind if Onmur adopted it, or changed that line to something like it.
