I want to ask Nagisa if Kirika's magical dress looks like a tuxedo and Oriko's dress looks like a wedding gown.

With the two meguca present.

What can change the nature of a person, after all?
I am sorry. Is... is Sabrina quoting Ravel? I know it's five thousand pages of angry people arguing about how to make PMMM-verse less of a fuck-up ago ( and no, as Rebellion shows, making Madoka contract still doesn't solve this conclusively, I don't know why I'm typing this, someone, make me stahp!.. Ugh. Better. ), but I just can't let that lie.

Also. Why do people call mass-murder-suicide "Tetris"?

Since we're at this point...

You never had to go this far.

Death, of herself or Kirika, holds zero fear for Oriko.

Witching? Terrifies the everliving fuck out of her.

Why, I'm not telling yet.

The fact that threatening to kill her didn't work after the first four or five times... And her single real slip was to the idea of Kirika Witching...

Well. This is another moment I'd want to address. You do realize that you could break her by extrapolating, that if Oriko dies, then Kiriko witches out, and then refuse to kill her before she does, right?
Still morally ambiguous, but at least not to the point of reaching Moral Event Horizon with what previously was a stalwart example of All-Loving Hero. And that's me being lazy here, I'm sure that if we ( not sure why I use "we", I wasn't around back then, so read it as "you" ) had worked really hard, there would have been found some other handles in Oriko somewhere.
Threatening to maim the soul of Oriko's girlfriend. How the fuck, SV, I don't even. Seriously, I've seen one person just drop the quest after this.
... I'll delete all of this shit if it becomes irrelevant in the course of my reading through the thread, but I doubt it.
Yeah, I've decided to leave it as it is. On the grounds of being a cautionary tale. If it were to happen in Moid's quest, he'd be drinking your tears. With a fucking straw. Right from your eyes. Straws in your tear ducts, you hear me?

Oh. Just read about Mami finding out.
Fuck.
Five-seven years of Mami's self-worth down the drain in fifteen minutes. Firnagzen, you magnificent bastard, you. Last time I was so sad, I'd been reading a fanfic about Asuka lying in a mental ward with a doll who she called, well, "Asuka". This... dependency, this beseaching for approval in almost every action, this desperate need, anything to fill the void inside, even with the one who hurt you, who lied to you, who made you lose your only other close friend. So heavy. So fucked-up. So beautiful. It was this moment when I realized that with Sabrina around, a magical girl can go insane before she witches out.

Hmm. I guess this one should've gone in story-only thread. Oh well.

The reckoning will not be postponed indefinitely.

Ah. This is getting rather unwieldy. Let's hide this wall of text behind the spoiler tag.
Moving on.
Did you know that apparently, aside from being a modernized form of Princess of Sheba, Sabrina means absolutely nothing? So, I guess it's more of a reference to a famous witch, huh? Well, there's some wiki nonsense about "Sabrina" meaning "boundary". I guess that's because of a river? I dunno.
I suppose Dedolare carries enough meaning on its own.

"Right, then..." you say, turning to go. Oriko helps Kirika onto her crutches, and the four of you return to the living room, Oriko sitting on one end of the large sofa with Kirika cuddled into her side, Mami cuddled anxiously into yours, and Homura surveying all of you with tired eyes.
When Akemi Murderface Homura is only the third most obsessive person in a room, there is something fundamentally, profoundly wrong with the situation. I can hear her thinking: "Wow, and I thought my emotional dependency on Madoka is crippling. Would you look at that."
... I should stop. Don't wanna cause an aneurysm by the sheer length and inanity of this snip in someone who for some reason actually decides to open it. And I guess sleep is also a thing.

Anyway. I'll be joining in your collective on this merry safari across the suffering and torment that is PMMM. I'll try not to be an obnoxious prick, listen to others, be polite, yadda yadda. Yeah, I know I kinda blew it up with this first post. Sorry about that, I promise I'll do better next time. Don't mind me, I'll just hide my comments like I did here, until I finish coursing through 650k words. Then I'll try to contribute something useful. Oh God.
Should take me five days to a week or so. Luckily, today's my free day... and it's 4 a.m. Right. Yesterday was my free day.
Fuck.

Wait.

Are you actually going through the main thread?

You poor naive bastard.

But seriously, welcome to PMAS. One of the few places where you can find severe mental trauma, diabetes inducing fluff, philosophical debates on the nature of destiny, high energy particle physics, and shitposting, all in the same place. Here's hoping you make it.

Also, there's a link to the story only thread on the first page, I believe. That should take much less time to read.

Yeah. I've thought about that.
Then for some crazy shit reason I've decided, that hey, this should be fun! And invisitext! Shinies!
After the first ten or so hours ( with large intervals in-between, I'm not so crazy ) I started to skim.
Now I just turn the page index and sometimes read through the other posts when fancy strikes me with a mallet.
So everything's all right here. Nothing to worry about. Hahahahahasomuchpain.

This is why:

Ah. So that's why. This explains everything!
What the fuck did I just watch.:lol

Or we could have threatened to witch Oriko instead of Kirika, which would have terrified Oriko more than enough, too, but not as badly.

*Shrug*

BTW if you try to read this thread, put me on ignore to make it 10% shorter. :V

I'm afraid that the allusion behind Sabrina's name is much more recent and less mythological then you might have hoped.

Unrelated, found a thing for Magia Record and the meguca therein that some of you might not have seen yet (I hadn't).

Highlights: A ton of cute girls, a double-katana, two witches magicians, a rose-gardening witch meguca, based frying pan girl, a devil and an alchemist who almost manage to be as cute as Yuma, the most scandalous outfit since Kazumi's, a few fellow warhammers, an honest-to-god bardiche, Homura buffering, the Tomoe shopping channel, and self-styled Black Magical Girl and professional chuunibyou, Kure Kirika.

Not featured: Nagisa, Sayaka, non-PMOM side stories, pants.

Why the sudden bandwagon rush towards shorter votes and intention-focused votes? I thought thats what put us in this current mess of an update, because Firn didn't entirely realize to do the multitasking we wanted (he said as much, and said that we totally can do the full force crazy of simultaneous conversations and all if we're more explicit about it) and because BrinaPilot just stood there in a blank daze watching after the inability to telepathy Anri threw us off track. Lack of contingencies if nothing else.

[X] Null

Why proudly declare being one-third the wordcount for its own sake, when it means dropping entire actions (let alone important specifics and quotes). @Redshirt Army I'm not sure if I've seen you yet address the concern about sending backup to Kirika and Oriko, even to say why you keep not wanting to include it.

We had a giant flame war several months ago because everyone was too focused on minutiae. Firn pretty much told us to stop doing mega votes, and implemented a word count limit to curb that, and instead focus on intents and goals and let BrinaPilot handle the rest.

Theres a pretty wide difference between some of say Vebyast's mega-votes , and RedShirt's super-mini-vote. I was asking why the cut from the usual 150 wordcount limit to this recent one going more for 50 while removing even the level of detail its 150ish rivals had.

Not to mention, sometimes QMs tell you not to do contingencies... and then admit (or you can see) the lack of one caused an unwanted result. Or am I wrong about multi-tasking and what to do after telepathy wasn't an option?

I won't admit to know Redshirt's reasoning, but you may have noticed people got pretty salty trying to figure out what the correct response was to this situation, even within 150 words. To the point people got temp-banned. Which was what the word limit was trying to prevent.

@Racoras You seem to have missed the giant mountain of salt a few pages back.

If you want, feel free to bring my old vote back, or any vote you want, but people got threadbanned for getting to serious about all this.

I'd prefer a vote that protected Oriko but at this point I'm with Mura. I'm just too burned out to care. I suggested leaving it all to Mami, but nobody seemed to pick up on that idea, instead debating about abuse and whether stepping in was best, or then in which manner to step in. It was just a shit-storm of epic proportions.

Salt is a way of life here. I no longer stand in awe of flames :V

[X] Use multitasking as much as possible.
[X] Telepathy Kazumi, Saki, Mami, Sayaka.
-[X] Convey that Niko is not handling herself, how horrifying this situation is, and ask for help stopping it.
-[X] If the Pleiades don't reign Niko in, tell them you won't be complicit to abuse.
-[X] This is more social than security with everyone here, ask Sayaka to link up with the Kure's and make sure Airi doesn't hit them while they're helpless.
[X] Make yourself heard. Niko needs to get Gem cleansing and calm down.
-[X] If necessary, ask Mami to separate them.
-[X] Succinctly explain everything wrong
--[X] Hijiri is our (collective) captive. We're in control. We can't abuse that.
[X] Ask Niko not to hit Hijiri again. harming prisoners is wrong
[X] After seeing this, we think this needs mediating, from someone neutral
[X] Both of them have points, and neither understands the other.
-[X] We want to help everyone.
-[X] To Hijiri: The Memory Device is preventing us from helping her more than it protects her from anyone. Ask her to drop it, offer reassurance

May as well try shouting into the void here. Hopefully 182 is short enough, or a better wordsmith feels like trimming it even further.
