My position remains that Oriko doesn't contribute much to a search, her unhealed arm raises uncomfortable questions, and that as a result dragging her into a hostile situation like this is irresponsible.

If Oriko personally insists on coming along, I might budge, but for anything short of that just taking Kirika (or having Sayaka copy from her) seems much more prudent.

Well, Do you think Oriko would both feel and be safer in an active warzone, or alone in Mitakihara with Homura?

I believe the primary argument here was for the benefit of her psychological health; going out and doing things, particularly with Kirika, rather than just sitting on the couch all day waiting to die.

Good point. If she still had her precog, it might be a different matter, but at this point, Oriko's just a liability in battle.

But as others have stated, going out and getting shit done might be good for her

Except leaving Oriko and Kirika in the city will almost certainly stress Homura out needlessly, and it would be a struggle to take one without taking the other.

I can understand that argument, but I don't agree that the potential for psychological gains outweighs the potential for physical harm (which carries psychological harm of its own).

Oriko isn't stupid, she knows her personal contribution will be limited, and I'm not sure bringing her along out of what she'll probably see as pity will have the effect you want.

For getting the Kures to come, just tell them its a few days out of the house, even throw in a double date afterwards in Asunaro.
As for Pleaides you don't need to tell them much since they not going to protest extra aid since its on Sabrina's word.
Ask no questions and I'll tell you no lies.

Bringing Oriko into this would force her into action in order to protect Kirika, this is a good chance for her to change mindset with the risk Kirika would be in due to the opponent's reserves from the clear seed.

I would like to perform a quick test. I want to see if Sayaka's power-copying move also copies brain damage:

[] Sayaka copies Kirika's antimagic power and holds it active
[] Telepath to Sayaka: I'd like to perform a quick test. Please imagine me punching Oriko in the face. Is that cool with you?

If Sayaka is fine with that, then her move does not copy brain damage, and we give her Oriko's power too.
If Sayaka reacts badly, then her move does copy brain damage and she can't have Oriko's power ever.

Physical harm as compared to what, "There is no future in which I live past the 19th"? Any fight is dangerous, and I sincerely doubt Oriko would care.

If Homura is staying in Mitakihara, we should ask her to coordinate with Hitomi to get the incoming girls from Shiogama set up with housing and cleansing.

That'll be an introduction to Mitakihara to remember...

uhhhh

Let's have her patch them through to Mami and us telepathically to deal with the specifics.

Yessssssss... OK, Homu staying was fully expected (and so was Sayaka itching to go), but Homu allowing us to recruit O&K?

Holy shit.

- Ask Homu for a private conversation (drop Mami and Sayaka from TS).
-- Thank Homu (hug?). Warn her about infohazard? Make tea for everyone to drink in flight? :V
-- Take the time(stop) to make something witchy, like speckeld enchants for protection, or the privacy sphere for the fakers to copy. End TS.

- Wake up O&K while moving. Explain. Request their help.
-- If they agree to help, you'll pick them up before going.

-GET GOING.

:)

If we wanted to, we could potentially try to pick up Oriko and Kirika in timestop. It'd minimize total time spent, and we'd have to imply teleportation or something of the sort to explain how Sayaka got here so fast to the Asunaro girls anyway.

Main thing is to be a delicate enough touch that Kirika doesn't reflexively anti-magic everything.

I don't know, it might play into Oriko's feelings of uselessness.

"I NEED KIRIKA."
...
"I guess you can come too Oriko if you want"

The way I'd do it is:

"I NEED ANTIMAGIC"

"Are you up two up to coming, or should Sayaka just copy it?"

Forgot to bring this up earlier, but Kyouko is street-wise and strong; think she'd be up for a bit of rough and tumble?

"As for the Kure family, they're generally pacifists, but I was willing to call in a favour from them."

Edit:

"Huh? Sisters? Ah, nah, they're married.

...

Because I said so. My mom is God, I'm sure I have at least enough authority to spontaneously marry two consenting girls without telling them!"

I expect Kyouko would be busy taking care of Yuma, and there's -100% chance that she'll take Yuma into what could become a warzone in seconds.

Eventually I agree we should fold her into our core team with Mami, Homu, and Sayaka, but for right now she's got her hands full with her new imotou.
