Google Maps doesn't play nice with straight line paths. It tends to assume you have to do plebian things like driving or going to an airport.
That's true, but you can also [right click] on Azunaro (Asunaro? Asonaru?) and draw a ruler all the way to Mitakahara and get the distance that way. If we know the average airspeed of a laden MOF, we can figure out travel time.

"Mommy, why did that girl's ribbon suddenly light her and all their friends on fire?" Teisō-chan asked her father.

"You see, sweetheart, it's all part of the magical gay agenda." Replied Mike Pence.

Are we completely disregarding the masquerade and performing magic out in the open, possibly walking the same direction as other Mitakihara students? Or am I reading this wrong?
We don't really concern ourselves with the masquerade. Maintaining it is Kyubey's problem, not ours.

Despite that, doing this on the way to school does seem like an odd choice. I'm confused about how exactly this is supposed to work. Are we tying the ribbon to something in the apartment and trailing it behind us as we walk Mami to school? Or do we leave one end with Mami and trail it behind us as we're leaving the school after we drop her off?

Uh, it's a piece of ribbon, you hold one end in one hand and the other one comes to about your thigh.

I thought the idea was to test whether we can channel our powers through Mami's ribbons. To know whether or not it worked, doesn't the other end of the ribbon need to be outside our usual 100 meter range?

Reading the vote again, it says that we're trailing it behind us as we go to school, so I assume that the other end is back at the apartment.

Of course, unless Mami makes the ribbon invisible, we're two people walking along leaving a trail of ribbon behind us. Nothing apparently magical about that to prompt Kyubey to memory wipe witnesses, people will just think that we're some kind of weirdo litterbug. :p

The idea I had in my head was "Trail it behind us while we roofhop a bit."

If we can have a ribbon link to Mami while she's at school, I think that's a good thing. It would be a comfort to her and let us help her remotely if needed. I'm just not sure that "on the way to school" is an opportune time to try to develop it.

[X] Admit to Mami about being a bit nervous about going to Asunaro. It will be the furthest Sabrina's been from Mami since... well, since Sabrina can remember.

    [x] Oh, Sabrina
[X] Wake up before Mami. Turn off her alarm clock so that she oversleeps. Pack lunch for her. Wake her up two minutes before she has to be out the door to make it to school on time, so that she has to go running down the street with a piece of toast in her mouth. Take pictures.

I'm pretty sure it's better if we don't have such a physical connection all the time.

Mami's doing better and can deal with not being attached to Sabrina by the hip 24/7. :p

Well, this was the exact wording of your vote:

That, and we always walked to school so we can accompany them rest of the gang on the way there.
Hmm... point.

I still think this is best done during the morning while we're with Mami, but, after mulling it over, how does less specific timing look? (Let Sabrina figure out the best time and manner.)
