[X] Helping Magical Girls, so they wouldn't have to fight for a living anymore? That's why you made your Wish. Ask Nadia to please send those Magical Girls over.
[X] Excuse yourself, and ask Madoka to talk for a moment in private.
-[X] Talk about what she felt when she heard a Magical Girl died. Her reaction was the most normal out of anybody at the table, and that's a good thing. Try to reassure her; explain how this is part of what we're going to change.
[X] If Madoka seems fine, go back; ask Nadia if she knows anything about Asunaro.
[X] If the conversation wraps up, try and get a moment to talk with Homura, in private.
I feel like we should talk to the dokes after Nadia leaves (and everyone can reassure her together), but that's still a good idea.
Asunaro should absolutely be our next order of business, for reasons I will never stop reiterating.

Is there anything else to say here? I think we want to keep reassuring her that things are all under control, though referring back to our wish is a good way to do that.

I think we might want to expand here...

-[] Tell her that we have the saving-people end of things under control, but this kind of thing is why we need her help. Those girls... will need normalcy even more than you and Homura do.

If Madoka doesn't seem fine, vote breaks for more discussion and we start poking in Homura's direction, start setting that conversation up?

Tentative wording.

And man, if we get Madoka to help with the meguca social, Homu will literally become her shadow.

I don't think exactly how we're going to make the witch fighting part of meguca life better has been mentioned yet. Specifically, unlimited cleansing really changes the cost-to-effectiveness balance, which means that, for example, Mami can safely make a gazillion Tiro Finales per witch without running out of grief seeds. If those girls had had a clear seed, they could've fought with all of their power instead of with however much power was safe to use at once, and Misato would probably still be alive.

And while not needing Grief Seeds will mean many meguca won't want to fight any longer, the remaining, more heroic meguca will be able to hunt in large, very large groups, since they won't need to fight each other for territory anymore.

Oooor, he finds girls in despair and fills them with hope, with the payoff being they go all White Witch if they pass a peak of hopefulness, syphoning their excess power to fuel the universe.

-

Also, I very much doubt Madoka thought out her wish so well as to purposely make it self driving. She got lucky. And that luck was built on Homura's broken back. :/

I find 1 unlikely based on "Kyubey inverting his methods" because his methods are based on the intense vascillation of changing emotions. 2 is pretty inarguable. She included that she wanted to do it all by her own hands right there in her wish's wording.

What even is the "Witch of Despair"? And what do you mean "almost quantum-sorta-happens"?

Ultimate Gretchen is a fan-name for an entity that is canonically all witches at once, and is only known as The Witch of Despair from the Madogatari exhibition.

That makes no sense. Gretchen is Madoka's Witch. If the Law of Cycles gets rid of Witches just before they're born, KG can never be born in the first place. As for "all that grief has to go somewhere"--no it doesn't. Madoka's canon wish wouldn't have worked if it did. Otherwise, her own Witch couldn't have been removed from existence, because the only place for all of that grief to go would be her soul gem--causing her to Witch out again, ad-nauseum. Likewise, destroying a soul gem doesn't cause that grief to manifest in any kind of harmful manner, even if it's 99% full of grief.

It's established in Wraith Arc (and strongly implied in EP12) that Madokami and Ultimate Gretchen/The Witch of Despair literally duel forever in a conceptual plane. Madoka always wins, but she's locked in an eternal fate of fighting, just as Mami said.

As for Kyubey pulling the Law of Cycles apart? How the fuck would that even work? You're talking about a law of the universe. If the Incubators could pull that apart, they could "pull apart" entropy itself. The only reason Homura managed to bring down Madokami is because Madoka was part of it.

Pfft, idk, "If you can observe it you can interact with it." The original drafts for the Wraiths before Rebellion was that THEY were the ones trying to abolish the Law of Cycles, so whatever. I thought it was bullshit that the Incubators could make Isolation Fields but here we are.

Which she wouldn't need to do if she just words her wish carefully the first time around. The only time Madokami needed to adapt in any way at all was because of Homura's shenanigans...which came about because Madoka turned herself into part of the cycle.

Sayaka's and Nagisa's dialog about different Magical Girls being brought along on assignments implies they all help Madoka in some way and that she can't just smash the win button and coast through it all. Considering what she's actually DOING the Law of Cycles might function by emotionally soothing the girl in their own head, for all we know. Maybe Rebellion is exactly what Madoka does already except she doesn't normally have to stick around for a fucking month with amnesia.

[X] Agree. Talk a bit about arranging transportation for magical girls who can't make the trip, maybe collaborating with other magical groups to do it; and about setting up living accommodations for immigrant magical girls.
-[X] Any girl that comes here will have their gem kept clean and help settling into their new life, and those that want to do work for us will get paid for it.
--[X] Speaking of which, would Nadia be interested in working for us full-time, traveling to talk to people on our behalf?

So, why aren't we just telling her we can be anywhere on Earth in three hours, and if she knows anyone who needs immediate evac we can probably arrange something?

[X] Excuse yourself, and ask Madoka to talk for a moment in private.
Um, this seems really unprofessional. Why are we doing this? Is Madoka going to Wish in the next ten minutes?

Because, Asunaro trip aside, the closer we get to Walpurgisnacht, the higher the chances Feathers will kill Oriko, so we need to be around.

Um, this seems really unprofessional. Why are we doing this? Is Madoka going to Wish in the next ten minutes?
Because some people want to. Not waiting will help as we're not letting Madoka stew on her thoughts of magical girls dying, at least.

Because some people want to.
Others think it's too abrupt and can wait until we're done but are voting for you anyway because they like the rest of your vote.

Bring Oriko with us. Stick her in an armored cargo area to assuage Homura's security concerns.

Ahem
*Mobile Oppression Fortress.
Mobile Oppression Fortresses are for conquest, not for moving all of Oriko's furniture into. :p
Did her warehouse hideout have a generator in it, by the by? We could simulate light and electricity in the construct, but that'd attract undue attention due its continuous witch signal (which also means they'd need to pick out some carpets and wallpaper or be stuck dealing with their entire love nest flat being comprised of an eldritch void of eye-rending fractals).

- There was some talk about asking Nadia about Asunaro, but I didn't see any consensus either way.
We did ask her about Asunaro, but Madoka interrupted to freak out about Walpurgisnacht before we got an answer.

- I personally still want to talk with Nadia about helping meguca who need transport in order to make it here, but nobody seems to care.
My vote does bring that up...
[X] Agree. Talk a bit about arranging transportation for magical girls who can't make the trip, maybe collaborating with other magical groups to do it; and about setting up living accommodations for immigrant magical girls.
...and so did yours before you changed it.

We don't need to interrupt our conversation with Nadia to talk to Madoka right this moment. We can do that after Nadia's left. Five minutes is not going to make a difference.

[X] Agree. Helping girls in a tough spot like that is what we're all about. Talk a bit about arranging transportation for magical girls who can't make the trip, maybe collaborating with other magical groups to do it; and about setting up living accommodations for immigrant magical girls.

[X] Repeat our earlier question about Asunaro.
[X] Give Mami and the others the opportunity to ask their own questions and offer their own ideas.

If we keep stopping mid-conversation to coddle Madoka every time she hears something sad, she's going to start feeling condescended to. She's the only one getting the "Oh, poor baby, you're too delicate to hear about scary things!" treatment, which really will make her feel like she's being excluded for being a normal human.

We're planning to have a pretty serious conversation with her after this anyway. She'll be okay for a couple minutes while we finish talking to Nadia.

"Hmmm..." Mami bites her lip. She stops as soon as she realizes she's doing it, turning to smile at the mirror instead; her reflection returns a winning smile, turning to pose sideways while holding a flowing long yellow dress against herself.

She frowns and turns to the white haired girl sprawled face down on the bed, whose eyes seem to rest on Mami, but look glazed over. The blonde girl smiles and wonders what crazy ideas are going through her friend's head. Alas, she must interrupt those deep thoughts.

"What do you think, Sabrina?" She asks, turning fully, still holding the dress against herself. "The yellow one... or the white one?" She asks as she turns slightly, hiding the first dress to show another one, a simpler, slightly shorter one.

Sabrina blinks as if coming out of a daze, her lips parting- but Mami cuts in before she can answer, "I think the yellow one might be, well, too much yellow," she turns in a pirouette to stare at her reflection once more, holding said dress up to herself again, "but I think it goes well with my eyes... and hair?" Mami looks askance at the Sabrina in the mirror with a smile.

Sabrina returns the smile absentmindedly and opens her mouth to talk- before snapping it shut as Mami cuts her off again.

"But the white one seems less... pretentious? Lighter, too, maybe I should wear this one? She shifts, bringing the white dress up to bear.

A moment later, she drops both hands, leaving both elaborated pieces of cloth aside to reveal herself in her plain school uniform. "Well, Sabrina? What do you think?"

"You're pretty."

A second passes. Then another one. Then Mami realizes Sabrina's finished talking, at the same time red starts creeping up Sabrina's cheeks.

"T-the dresses are p-pretty!" stutters Sabrina, "on you... I m-mean you look pretty in either... in either dress..." she trails off, Mami's visage having turned as bright scarlet as her own.

Sabrina slowly lets her head drop down on the bed, hiding her face from sight.

"... Ah, w-well," the blonde stutters back, her lips stretching into a face splitting smile. "T-thank you, Sabrina," she closes her eyes and tries to recompose herself, "I think y-you also-"

Sabrina's head snaps up suddenly.

"I think you're beautiful and will be the prettiest girl there no matter what you wear!" she blurts out.

Mami stands openmouthed, her knees trembling slightly.

The white haired girl gulps nervously, but resolutely maintains her stare fixed on Mami's eyes.

Mami brings her hands to her chest, dresses still held in each one, and looks away. She mumbles incoherently for a moment, before managing to say something along the lines of "I'm gonna change now..." and haltingly walks out of the bedroom.

Before she enters the bathroom, she quickly peeks back at Sabrina, both their faces still red as tomatoes.

"T-the yellow one o-or the..."

"White one, definitely," answers Sabrina.

Mami nods, enter the bathroom, and closes the door.

Sabrina finally lets her head drop back on the bed.

"... Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..."

She startles when she hears a half-squeaking, half-laughing sound coming from the bathroom- before it cuts off abruptly.

The white haired girl lets out a sigh, and smiles to herself.

You know, @Onmur, if you Discord guys really feel that Madoka needs to be coddled this much, that we need to act this unprofessional in front of Nadia because she can't possibly be allowed to hear something a little disturbing and sit on it for ten minutes without us pulling her aside and condescending to her, how on Earth do you all expect her to become Madoka Kaname: Meguca Therapist?

I can guarantee there's going to be a lot worse tales of woe in her future than "OMG people can actually die fighting Witches!" if we go that route; are you going to eavesdrop on her constantly and pull her aside in timestop every time she hears something upsetting?
