What does our soul gem's ring form look like?

Uh, so, literally every ring has the character's name in witch runes. How has no-one noticed and commented on that? There also doesn't seem to be a lot of variation aside from that, so I guess that answers that.

What about the fingernail tattoo?

The fingernail tattoo is generally just the Meguca shape of the Soul Gem; and Magical Girls canonically cannot read Witch Runes.

On a side note: If we could teach other people it, it would be one hell of a bitching secret code. Though we should check to see whether they can actually see it. Eh, pencil also works. Probably.
On second thought, trying to write witch runes with a pencil seems more like an art form.
PS: Sabrina is not a witch.
 
Let's not write things that seem to appear naturally in the presence of witch-level amounts of grief in places that are, you know, not barriers. It seems like a bad idea. The kind of "Why did you think that writing down chaos runes was a smart idea?" thing.

I've got a piece of paper with every Witch Rune in hand writing....
It's useful.
(Plus no Witch has tried to bite my head off yet! :V)

As in they don't know what the characters mean. Magical Girls don't have the benefit of an internet community with the priviledge of recording Witch Barrier scenes and pausing them for analysis safely.

Witch Runes have been spotted in some Magical Girl effects, it's probably just a magical script.
 
I do want to know whether witch runes are actually German or not, and asking Homu to go over our work to see if it makes any kind of sense in-universe is basically the only way to do that.

And then if they are German, I really want to go to Germany and see what runes the witches there use. :V
