[X] Honestly? We're...
probably not going to win, but there's some
really cool shit that we could try, which is actually the purpose. (louder) Besides, they'll be using nonlethal projectiles, so we're not going to be terribly hurt anyways. Probably gonna sting, though...
-[X] I've seen Mami fight, she can tell when attacks are coming without even looking. It's
really cool, and I have no idea if I can emulate it or not, but I want to see if I can. So, I'm volunteering as bait.
--[X] On your side, Sayaka, there
should be some sort of instinct for ranged defense that came with the magical girl contract. You might not get it immediately, or I might be completely wrong, but...
magic. I mean, you're probably not gonna be cutting bullets in half right away, I think, but it's something to aim for, yeah?
[X] Make a grief warhammer, same as your normal one, but out of solid grief. Keep the density at the same level as your normal warhammers
apparent weight, so the change in mass doesn't throw you off.
[X] During the spar, focus on trying to sense incoming attacks. Secondary focus on trying to dodge make yourself a harder target, use your wings to throw your momentum around with the same technique you use to hang in the air without flapping them, e.g.. Tertiary focus on closing with your opponent while doing those things.
-[X] Stay in periodic contact with Sayaka. Check everyones' positions with grief sense every so often and if someone is trying to sneak up on her, tell her that you think they're trying to sneak up on her. This will encourage her to hone her own awareness.
[X] If/when the teams change up, try to avoid engaging Sayaka -- this is about dealing with ranged opponents. In actual combat situations it's unlikely that any melee-based meguca besides Kirika is going to pose a threat to you.
[X] After the spar, while everyone is cooling down, dissolve the chibi -- it's really not accomplishing anything except to make people feel witchy noises at this point, and you certainly won't be taking something like that to the picnic where Nagisa would see it -- and hug Mami. Thank her for helping you practice. Thank Homura too, and Sayaka. Ask how Sayaka feels/felt about what she accomplished/did in the spar, try to give feedback (especially praise wherever possible).
-[X] If Mami asks if she should dissolve her chibi too, tell her it's up to her. Hers is the superior version, after all. It would be good if it wasn't at the picnic, though -- Nagisa would find it mighty strange.
Disagree. In an actual fight, we will be keeping tabs on locations and using that to inform our dodging. Not practicing that just reduces our efficacy for no gain.
Ramiel.
I'm not concerned about enemies inside 100 meters. At 100m, we win. Just like that. If we lose it's because we allow it. Even Homura probably can't do better than a draw starting from inside 100m, although that's certainly a fight worthy of debate.
But the same instincts Mami uses to dodge attacks without seeing them...
Whatever that is, it's not grief-limited. It may well work with attacks from past 100m.
Outside our grief sense.
I'm not sure what to do about how2beBait. Will think more in morning ig.
Re: solid grief: I thought property-adjusted grief was witchy? Wouldn't density change be property-adjust? Perhaps not... I
did originally say "use grief to make foam hammer,"
that would be a witchy grief application, right? Transmutation?
Kaizuki is thus best catgirl.
Pet me, nya.
