I think one of the "Madoka"s should be a Mami.

I guess we inherited liking "ま" from our まま.

Consistent tense. Wanted -> forgot, want -> forget. I think.

It works with either tense. I like forgot slightly better, but in context they mean the same thing, (because the forgetting is in the immediate future from now, but before the moment we would be doing the stuff if we didn't do it now, so past and present tense end up meaning the same thing.)

You release the hug a moment later and smile around at your friends, Mami tucking her head onto your shoulder.
Subtle.

"Hey, guys, hope we didn't keep you waiting?" you offer.

Sayaka rolls her eyes. "You talked for like ten seconds, Sabrina," she says. "Waiting, what waiting?"

"Ah, right," you say, rubbing your nose sheepishly. "Felt longer."
Subtle as a sledgehammer.

"Not too much time left for lunch, right? But before you guys have to lunch - picnic! Picnic tomorrow.
:V

"Ditto," Sayaka agrees.
...

...

... Oh my god.

"You have a lot to on your mind, I'm sure."

"Ah, well, it comes with the territory,"
:V

I continue to maintain that we should give her a letter. We can make the letter out of grief, send it by grief-owl, and use grief instruments to observe her reaction. We don't need or want to involve ourselves overmuch with this girl.

Alternatively,

-> make obviously magical entrance
-> ask if she's seen any talking bunnycats
-> when she goes "wtf", tell her he turned our soul into a rock
-> fin

You know, it's also possible to just

[x] Say hello.
That's crazy.

[Q] Pull a Sasa on Sasa and pretend to be her friend.
-[Q] Be really obnoxious, too.

...

Maybe we should bump into her? Kind of strange to just greet a stranger out of the blue. We could buy some toast, carry it on our mouth, then run and bump into Sasa, falling to the floor...

That's the way these things go, right? :p

Unfortunately I've just woken up and am unable to be amused by this series of lines. However, I assume this was intended to be funny.

You have to be on like a public street or hallway for that to work.

Bumping into her while carrying books or something though maybe? Shopping bags?

If we come across as clumsy, maybe she won't go bananas on us.

Four thirty sounds better," Hitomi agrees. "Where are we going, actually?"

"Right, good," you say. Which means you'll slot Miss Bennouna in before that, then - plenty of time. "Four thirty. And uh..."

... I could have sworn the Bennouna meeting wasn't until Sunday, and tommorow is Saturday. Lemme look for quotes.

E:
"I will be swinging by Sendai briefly," Nadia responds. "To arrive in Mitaki'ara Sunday morning."

"Sunday morning," Mami says. "Your own accomodations?"

Yeah. Today's Friday (duh, there's school), so the Bennouna meeting is the day after tommorow.

Yeah, no, we need to do this in person if it's going to have any real effect one way or another.

One way or another, Sasa is going to be prickly.

[x]Approach her, untransformed.
[x]Um...hi there.
[x]If that doesn't get a response, keep going
-[x]You, ah, look like something's on your mind...Want to talk about it?
-[x]What's your name? I'm Sabrina.
-[x]Don't be too dramatic and tone down the usual forwardness tone-wise a bit, but don't make it seem like you're not taking her seriously either.

One way we could handle it. Or we could leave out Line 4 to try and handle it more tactfully.

Does not seem to provide a segue into meguca talk.

I will be critiquing votes by responding to them as if I was Sasa.

[]Approach her, untransformed.

Great, what does she want?

[]Um...hi there.

*glare balefully at her*

[]If that doesn't get a response, keep going.
-[]You, ah, look like something's on your mind...Want to talk about it?

Ugh. Even the random tourists can see how pathetic I am. "No, I don't."

-[]What's your name? I'm Sabrina.

"I'm Megane. Please leave me alone."

I suspect that the best way of getting her to open up is to ask for her help. Ask her for directions somewhere or something. It sidesteps the issues of her feeling useless or thinking we're superior by making her have a position of helping us. It also makes it less weird that we're talking to her at all, and any concern we show towards her from that point on can just be attributed to foreigners being more emotionally direct.

Then we stick with it. I don't expect her to open up off the bat. This just gets her talking.

Asking for fake directions just gives her a chance to blow her off and makes her seem unimportant- also by definition, it means we no longer have an excuse to stick around. Being a weirdo is fine, being superior isn't.

Mm. It's supposed to be an opening gambit, not the whole conversation.

Basically:
Sabrina: "Uh, hi?"
Sasa: *What does she want?* "Yes?"
Sabrina: "Hey, I'm not from Japan. Could you tell me where X store is? My reading is kinda..."
Sasa: *Ugh, tourists.* "It's over there. Make a right, then a left."
Sabrina: "Hey, thanks."
Sasa: "..."
Sabrina: "..."
Sasa: "Uhh? Are you gonna go, or...?"
Sabrina: "Heh, sorry. It's just ... you look like you've got something on your mind. I'm not busy - want to vent about it?"

But as I've said, this kind of vote is not my forte.

Eh... needs more CASUAL.

[X] Be tired Sabrina. Sit by the fountain to rest.
-[X] Say hi (to Sasa).
-[X] Hey... sorry if we're being rude, but she looks like she's got a lot on her mind. We can sympathize. Can we talk for a bit? We won't bother her for long, promise.

Aaand that's what I've got for now.

- Sasa's sulking besides a fountain.
- Try to get her talking about her life problems, on the basis that we can commiserate.

Isn't "before" followed the infinitive without "to", which makes it immune to tense shifts?
Also, "before I forgot" sounds like "that was my plan before I forgot, but now that I've forgotten, I want to do something else".

Since it looks like your vote is intended to talk about our problems, what exactly were you planning to follow this up with?
