Taking a 'break' outside implies we're going back inside in a moment.

Meanwhile, Kirika might say anything she wants to say to Oriko in private.

I would like to have a word alone with Kirika before talking again with Oriko.

@Muramasa
Yeah...we may want to hold off on going outside at least not without saying something further? I get the intent but it does feel a bit abrupt/like palming it off onto Kirika and hoping she can fix this?

[x] Right, let's take a break. Everyone needs to cool off. Cleansing.
[x] Telepathy Kirika. It's going to be okay. I'm not going to leave it at this. For now just be with your Ojou alright?
[x] Back to your blue coat. Dismiss the maid outfit.
[x] Go outside to the yard. Sit down. Take a breather.
-[x] Check the time.
-[x] Telepathy Mami. Have a chat. Ask her how her test went.
Just as long as the fact we're just taking a break is explicit to Oriko, it should be fine. We could scratch the 'telepathy' part off or just make sure Sabrina says she's taking five.

[j] Pick up Kirika
[j] Apply directly to Oriko
You fool! You should have noticed... Kirika already has an Oriko tracker and a self targeting system! Kirika can apply herself to Oriko, and has been doing so all along!

Clearly, what we need is...

[Q] Clone Kirika.
-[Q] Enough Kirika.

MORE KIRIKAS!

As long as we make it so all Kirika clones are controlled by the original, this OTP shouldn't even become endangered by this procedure!

"... You... did... what."

"Just forty of fifty of them..."

*Eye twitching*

"I couldn't keep them all in there..."

[HAND GRABBING AT EMPTY AIR INTENSIFIES]

"So I thought I'd keep two or three around..."

"I... ngh..."

"You OK, Homura?"

"Agh!" *Stomps off*

"... That went better than expected."

Kirika solves all of our problems.

I'm partial to Whiskers suggestion.

If we're going to talk we need to be careful here or everything is just going to be disregarded as another 'pretty speech'.

Why exactly do we have to try and do everything ourselves again? I mean, Kirika is sitting right there. And it kind of feels like we're shutting her down by just abandoning the conversation and leaving, even if it's only temporary.

And I think we're falling into the trap that Sabrina can just solve everything single-handedly in a single conversation. Which is pretty arrogant.

Anyway if you guys would excuse me, I'm going to vent for a bit. Since this is all uber frustrating and infuriating. And because Sabrina herself likely won't, seeing how often she represses stuff.:V

Honestly right now... I kind of feel like saying sorry to her. Sorry for saying some of the insensitive stuff we just said right now. For pushing so hard so fast on her. For sort of lecturing her. For keeping her stuck here, not being able to convince Homura to give her a break, not being able to offer clear tangible solutions instead of just words.

Looking at it from her perspective, I know that it's pretty cruel of us to ask her to keep hoping despite everything, despite it hurting. But the intention behind it is just to make her feel better about everything and have hope. Because her being like this just feels wrong. And because if she completely gives up on it, then despite what she thinks, I think that she'll continuously wallow in despair and misery. Just waiting, feeling powerless, for the moment where she loses what little she has left. And Kirika will have it even worse. Her surviving if she keeps hoping and struggling is far from certain, but if she gives up then she most likely will die, imo. And I'd rather that she not die. Her or Kirika.

@Agent Whiskers If you can condense this into a vote, I'd definitely consider bandwagoning.

I'm still in the middle of waking up and not quite ready to make adjustsments to my vote yet.

Or we tell Oriko to look into Kirika's future per Senquorin's suggestion.

I think that Its not that Oriko stops existing in her visions, but that "Oriko Mikuni" stops existing (presumably because she changed her name to Oriko kure).

[x] Tell Oriko to look into the future at Kirika, and see if she has a constant companion in some of them.
-[x] if it exists ask what that person's name is
-[x] otherwise tell her that there's no reason she should give up on living, just because the name, "Oriko Mikuni" doesn't exist, doesn't mean the girl who is Oriko Mikuni won't exist in the future in some other form with some other name

Pointless. All Oriko see's is death. She's accepted Kirika's death and is going to join her in death.
This is Senquorin's plan now what do you think?

If you haven't made enough Kirikas to hit an underflow error and loop Homura Points to their maximum value, then how could you say that you've made enough Kirikas?

On a different note, on Oriko being unable to see anything but her own death in the future... Well, I've already tossed out my hypothesis on how her visions may be limited based on her current self, so I'll spare you a repeat.

Something else to consider is that it might not be entirely up to her. Part of what I suspect saved Sayaka is the fact that Homura no longer considers her a threat, which might play into things here as well... which would make things more difficult than they already are, as Homura has a hard time comprehending conflict resolution that doesn't involve heavy artillery; though she might also accept them getting punted to Hawaii or something for a few months, which would work into how they'd live if they simply left. Regardless of this bit of rambling, we really do need to have a serious chat with her on Oriko sooner rather than later.

oh, fuck my life...

Okay, just give me a moment to try and figure it out, and then put it up.:V

My main fear is that she'll just think of it as more "pretty" words and just blow us off, especially since she seems pretty mad and resentful. Which would really suck since we'd be really putting ourselves out there. Hopefully, she sees the sincerity for what it is.

[] Take a deep breath and cleanse everyone's soul gems. Don't get frustrated again. Be sincere and patient.
[] "I'm sorry, Oriko."
-[] You know that it's really cruel and unfair to ask her to keep hoping and to keep fighting. That it's unfair to put this all on her. Especially since she's afraid and hurt by it, and there's no clear solution or guarantee. But she's already afraid and hurting, and you don't want to see her like that. Because you think that giving up would just make it worse for her, despite what she says. That it would mean passively waiting for the end in misery. And you didn't want that for either of them. You simply don't want her or Kirika to die or wallow in despair.
--[] Nonetheless, it was wrong of you to keep push so had and fast without properly considering what she was feeling. To be so insensitive.
[] "So, I'm sorry for all this. For continuously pushing you so much on this. For only offering pretty words and no clear solutions. For not getting you and Kirika out of this house arrest by now. I'm sorry."

Still not too happy about this. I think I'm going to basically put it bullet points next time I'm on.

Sounds a bit too negative. and almost sounds as if we agree that Oriko was right.
Also sounds as if we are leaving after this vote as well.
I'm not sure about how to alter it to fix those 'problems'.

Yeah, I've noticed that almost all my write-ins tend to be really hit and miss. Meh.

Like, I said, just try and bullet point it/summarize. Just convey a tone and intention, make it simple, and trust the QM to actually write it out. And maybe things won't blow up so horribly in our face this time. Judging from the past, it probably will.

[] Apologize to Oriko.
-[] Tell he that you know you're been pretty unfair to here here.
--[] You just think that painful as it may be, hoping and trying is better than the alternative. You just want her and Kirika to be alive and happy.
---[] Except you went about it the wrong way, and were pretty inconsiderate.
----[] So you're sorry about that. And you're sorry that you can't seem to do anything more to help her or make things easier, as much as you want to. All you can say that you'll try the best that you can, even if that might not really mean anything to her. Because they deserve it.

Something like this maybe, except way better.:V

- Apologize, you're out of the line.
- We mantain that giving up would be wrong, but we can't force Oriko to do things our way entirely.
- We're being cruel. We're sorry for that.
- But you won't give up on them and you'd rather not leave on this note. Can we take a five minutes break? You don't have to keep talking about this afterwards if you don't want to.
- Take some fresh air, reassure Kirika.
- Check up on Mami.

Give Oriko the option to leave this matter as it is for today.

There's also the Sayaka issue to talk about.

Alright so is everyone satisfied with Whiskers modified vote suggestion?

Just a reminder, though it doesn't need to be brought up now, we do have one or two potential leads on how to find out more about feathers. The issue with Sayaka should to be brought up before we go and... I don't know. The issue with convincing Homura to ease up the house arrest still seems to be disputed. What else are we talking about here beyond the apology?

@Muramasa
Hmmm.

As a full approach, "we're sorry" is insufficient, yeah.

As an opening mini-vote? It's fine. I say go for it.

Convincing Homura to ease up the house arrest seems like a lost cause for now. We'll need another way.
