...well, I'll admit I'm newer at this than you, Mura. I certainly agree with your entire first paragraph, without a doubt. I do think developing a way to reverse Witching is also an extremely valuable step in the process, however, as Tetris was, at least partially, to stop the others from becoming Witches by putting them down quickly. Letting her know that we can save someone who goes Witch could really make things less painful for her.

Regarding preemptive Witching, I just really feel uncomfortable about risking her finding out because one of her friends just became a monster and tried to kill her, only to be killed by her, like in the actual Tetris scene. That was like a perfect storm to induce Grief Spiral and Tetris, and I would like to avoid letting it happen like that again.

Whatever we do, I would like to actually talk to people about the issue, so that we know if TBD's Mami has consistently suicided/Witched/Tetrised throughout the loops or not. It's a short conversation with Homura (and possibly Oriko) that will either prove you're right and end this, or prove that we can make this more manageable through controlled circumstances, which also ends this endless debate.

Regardless of what we do, we still need to powerlevel the Mami Social Link...all Social Links, really, but especially Mami. Having lunch together is a good start. Let's just have a good time. We can maybe talk to Homura afterwards about Mami and/or Witch research, but that's next vote, not this one.


As a side note...how many humans just saw us? Kyubey's going to be working over time on this one.

Some of you guys are displaying a remarkable amount of genre blindness. The characters ALWAYS find out about the witchbomb. Time and time again in various quests, players always try their bests to keep everyone in the dark about the true nature of witches. Time and time again, they fail miserably. You guys are assuming that Kyubey will be our only enemy in this quest who knows about the witchbomb. What about hostile murderous magical girls? What about possible human-like witches? What about this mysterious enemy that we know nothing about? There are a lot of ways that she can find out that don't specifically involve the incubator. I'm not saying that witchbombing her is a good idea (especially now of all times), but sticking your head in the sand and hoping that she doesn't find out in worst possible way is just as bad. And don't think that it's not possible either. QMs are sadists like that. :p

If you guys don't want to tell her that's fine, but Firnagzen has told us multiple times that he'd prefer us to be proactive. Can you all at least come up with viable plans to keep her from finding out or mitigating the damage if she does find out? And can the people advocating telling her about at least think up ways to break it to her in the best possible way and at the best possible time? Frankly, telling her this soon is a terrible idea.

Just add new elements to your arguments at least. It's just getting really tiring seeing people spout the same things over and over again.

It also occurs to me that we are keeping a whole lot of secrets right now and are being a little manipulative. Granted, it's all in everyone's best interests, but they might not react too well if they find out regardless. People tend to weird like that.

So time for a nice lunch on the school roof. Just us, Homura, Mami, Madoka, and the entire grief contents of a witch. We're going to have a griefball large enough to blot out the sun. Mami's going to have a few questions, I think. Thank God no one else ever goes to the roof, I guess?

Clarification, by 'put away', I mean stuff it back into the Seed.

Unless you want to, I dunno, make a truck sized monolith of Grief and leave it in an alley somewhere within a 100m of the school or something.

More or less, put it back in the seed for now. Maybe add another 50 marbles in our sling bag, just so we don't accidentally wake up Hildegarde by filling the seed up past capacity.

Can't we turn it into an awesome Grief-Badass Longcoat? Also, we need to have Grief Instruments around whenever we can, playing appropriate music for the scene.

I still want to play Credens Justitatium while Mami is being awesome sometime.
 
Rather than a single truck sized monolith you can reenact SEELE scenes from NGE with a bunch of smaller monoliths.

Also it seems like feeding the grief to Kyuubey would have made sense since he was there.
 
Would a Grief-Monolith cause a bunch of animals to evolve to have human-level Grief-generating brains?

Fuck it, let's Uplift some animal species. Or blow up animal brains. One of the two would happen, LET'S FIND OUT.

It would seem so. The grief seed still cleanses fine after we extracted the grief from it, so it stands to reason that alot more grief must be absorbed before it hits critical witch mass.

can we make clothed out of Grief cause then we can just wear grief-clothed, that can save alot of money on clothed shopping and if we don't like what we are wearing, we can just change it to whatever we like
