Last time she let herself get close to the people that were her friends Mami decided to fucking murder Kyoko and the rest of them. Sayaka singles in on being 'dead' and always witches out without fail, not to mention always tries to poisen the rest of the group against her for what ever petty reason EVEN when she's Moemura.

Kyoko and Madoka are the only sane people in the entire group. Kyoko comes too late, and Madoka is usually herded away by Sayaka.

A combination of extremely poor timing and minor points like 'you're kinda dead. And destined to become undead. And evil'. Homura could've forestalled that.

Kyouko is, at this point, a completely batfuck social darwinist, and Madoka's got the survival instincts of the average mayfly.
 
Remember in Rebellion where Mami was pissed off because Homura kidnapped and was threatening to kill Bebe for no reason, but Mami still was trying to help her? And then Homura responded to Mami asking what the fuck was going on and why are you suddenly trying to kill my friend by trying to pop a cap in Mami's ass?

Right, Mami's not a perfect saint, but neither is she an irredeemable monster who is awful forever. She, like all the others, is a traumatized, lonely teenager with too much responsibility and a very fragile mind.

Lili, you really aren't helping with the "hateboner" accusations. Nobody is calling Mami a perfect saint, but she is much more approachable and much less stable than Homura.

Right now, Homura can take care of herself socially. Mami can't. Homura is fine with being long-distance. Mami isn't. Homura doesn't care about us one way or another unless we prove dangerous. Mami does care.

For the record, I think Homura's more pitiable than a monster- pretty much the points of Episodes 10-12. Mami's a broken but equally pitiable character; she just hides it better.

And I agree that Homura cares about much of the rest of the cast for their own sake to some degree- the only member that you could argue she really doesn't care about anymore would be Sayaka.

Well, to the best of Mami's knowledge, Homura didn't have to try to murderize her good friend Kyubey, threaten Madoka and Sayaka and just be a cryptic, passive-aggressive bitch in general, either.

I'd be a bitch too, in Mami's shoes.

...right now that that's all done, can we get back to, ya know, voting or discussing our next move? Like getting a cellphone or some kind of communication that does rely on Kyubey so we can link up with Homura at some point and discuss things...or do we try to play peacemaker between Mami and Homura?
 
Honestly, the way to pax meguca probably leads through Mami. She has the respect of Madoka and Sayaka. Homura is cold to Mami, but won't turn Sabrina away in suspicion just because of a roomie choice. Besides, Homura wants to know what Sabrina knows, and if her powers/info can help her goals.
