Maybe it's an Animal Athlete Loophole deal. ("Ain't no rule says a dog can't play soccer.") There might not be a rule against copulation specifically, but they'd be breaking other rules (or at least doctrines) along the way, like being disciplined, dispassionate, and responsible.
It honestly seems like its a Animal Athlete Loophole deal. ("Ain't no rule says a dog can't play soccer.") There might not be a rule against copulation specifically, but they'd be breaking other rules (or at least doctrines) along the way, like being disciplined, dispassionate, and responsible.
I don´t think is anything like that, Lucas explained it quite clearly: "Jedi Knights aren't celibate - the thing that is forbidden is attachments - and possessive relationships."
The thing is that in star wars there are hundreds of this kind of statements at odds with other ones, so you can simply stick to whatever Headcanon you have and you won´t be wrong.
Also, Jedi Master Ki Adi Mundi was married to four wives and had seven daughters, due to low Cerean birth rates, apparently. Since he was always portrayed as a very traditional Jedi, it would appear he did not find procreation or the institution of marriage in conflict with Jedi code of conduct.
This is the kind of thing which makes me not begrudge the split between Canon and Legends. Magical ewoks is weird, but it's charming and interesting and doesn't conflict with anything. This is just weird.
you know how we call ourselves the abyss watcher's? what would be the closest thing to the abyss that you can think of? the only thing i know that matches the description is the mother and the horrible slime zombie thing with wesker.

Remember that the reason we're called the Abyss Watchers is because that was the name of the gang we took over, not because it says anything about us. It's why I honestly find this omake by @Panory hilarious. Here we have another deep, insightful analysis of art by Thrawn, drawing motive and meaning behind the logo that gives info about the organisation and Ciaran herself, when the real reason for why our logo is what it is is "Oh, that was just the logo of the gang I took over, and from what I've heard it looks cool." Because, you know, blind.

mm... I still want some suggestions for battle music. I was thinking more hard fast scifi rock but... *shrugs*.
Right now I'm planning on using Caravan Palace's Lone Digger for the initial fight for my omake. Feel free to suggest or critique of what it feels like to you.
Oh, and throw in ideas of just what kind of techniques/weapons Ciaran might pull out when its everything on the line.
You can name that song, but don't link it like you just did. The video is NSFW, in the meaning that you'll probably get in trouble if your boss catches you looking at that.
@Dr. Snark, I have a suggestion, and while I was going to leave it for a suggestion list post, this one is big enough that I feel it deserves its own post.
My idea was originally supposed to be a Taris base option, but considering how big it is (and how profitable it'll be, naturally), it may be a Stewardship action instead. My idea is to bring back the Galactic Swoop Racing Circuit and base it on Taris. The word "Galactic" is a hint as to how big this option is.
This will be something akin to the Galactic Games in size and purpose (the promotion of peace through sports), though it has the added purpose of making us tons and tons of cash. Because seriously, there are so many ways we can profit from the GSRC, especially if we're the ones that run the show.
Here are the ways we can profit off of it.
- Making planets/other competitors pay entry fees in order to compete. This won't make us too much money, but it will make us money. If we charge non-CNS planets more, it'll make us even more money and encourage more systems to join the CNS.
- A bunch of companies are going to pay us for the privilege of advertising during the games and have permission to holocast them.
- Speaking of advertising, we can use the games as a platform to advertise our own products and services, getting humongous amounts of advertising for practically zero cost. Like we did in the Galactic Games, we can also sponsor a team to further increase the rewards if they win. We'll have a particular advantage in this regard, as we have several Force-sensitive agents in our employ. Alternatively, if we wanted to show off, we could compete ourselves.
- Merchandising. Star Wars is a prime example of how lucrative merchandising can be.
- Stadium seats. People are gonna pay to watch the event live and in person.
- It shouldn't be too difficult to profit off of the immense amount of gambling that'll take place.
- As you might know, these events are known for inspiring hooliganism in the plebeian masses. It wouldn't be too difficult to convince the Taris government of the benefits in hiring a bit of extra security to deal with riots and the like...and what might happen if they skimp to save some money.
- The event will attract bounty hunters and criminals like a rotting corpse attracts flies. If we make proper preparations, we can kill/disrupt/profit off of them. Not only will this bring in loads of bounty money/dirty money/loot into our pockets, but it'll let us cull the number of tools our enemies can use against us and display our mercenary/security company's effectiveness, leading to more profits in that regard.
- The economy of Taris will grow, the city becoming more and more the "Coruscant of the Outer Rim" like it used to be. Considering our considerable investments in the planet, we will get hundreds of credits from this alone.
Of course, 'profit' is not limited to merely money, but in reputation and opportunities as well.
- We gained +1 relationship with the Republic during the Galactic Games and all we did was sponsor Team Coruscant, who did decently. Imagine how much our reputation will grow for hosting/sponsoring an entire event!
- Just as the mission statement of the Galactic Games was to promote peace, so it will be for the GSRC. More planets will be able to join the CNS as the war once again slows down, though perhaps not to the same extent as the Caamas Ceasefire. (Or perhaps so. People love their sports.)
- If we allow the Republic to compete, that would mean we can convince Anakin to relive his "glory" days on Tatooine as a champion podracer, which would be entertaining on its own. Of course, we'll also be inviting Padme to the event because she's our friend. She'll be impressed by Anakin's skills and Anakin himself will be looking to impress. What a prime opportunity for Ciaran to simultaneously push them together and tease them about it!
- But of course, this is Star Wars, and there has to be an antagonist for Anakin - the protagonist of this episode of The Clone Wars - to compete against. And uh oh! It looks like Dooku has sent Sev'rance Tann to the games in order to gain victory in the races and win prestige for the Separatists! The stakes just got higher for Anakin, for the Republic, and for Sev'rance herself! All while Ciaran watches the whole thing and gives a perfectly-delivered "Just as planned!" Alternatively, we could have Darth Traya do that last thing. After all the death and destruction of the last few episodes, this'll be a pretty good Breather Episode for the audience. It'll serve the same for the players of Invisible Hand as well, which would be nice after all our worrying about Sidious.
- I'm certain we can find some way to troll Obi-wan using the event. Maybe seat him next to Duchess Satine and have the kiss cam display them on the jumbotron? But then, Obi-wan is no slouch himself when it comes to trolling and would expect that, so we'll have to come up with something else. Hmm....
- Taris will love us even more.
- It'll be a good platform to advertise the Silver Cross, leading to more donations and thus expanding our influence through it.

And now I've finished surveying The Colonies region. It was oddly easier than the others, actually -- there were only half as many systems to check as for the Inner Rim, and an order of magnitude less (!) than the full Outer Rim. Anyway, I'm leaving off the 'Briefing' until next turn, but here are the highlights:
I try to point out whenever I find an awesome ship that we should steal recover. This one isn't a wreck, but darn if I wasn't salivating anyway:
K-9
Fakir sector (Bakchou Arm)
- Mycroft: headquarters of Intergalactic Zoological Society, site of Jedi chapterhouse (Exploration Corps), location of Titavian IV (menagerie capital-ship)
Mycroft is basically the galactic center of xenozoology studies, and one of the things they're known for is an entire fleet of capital ships that are basically floating menageries & zoos, that go around the galaxy gathering up the most exotic of creatures. So, a) that sounds awesome and I want one. But also b) if anyone has a spare taozin lying around, it'd probably be them....
Eeropha sector
- Eeropha: childhood home of Sano Sauro (Deputy Chancellor, Palpatine's inner circle, friend/sponsor of Granta Omega), trade hub on Hydian Way
Didn't notice this guy's name in @Stealthy's 'Palpatine ally' megalist post a while back. Turns out this guy personally sponsored Granta Omega's training and assisted the terrorist attack on the Senate, for which he was rewarded by... being appointed Deputy Chancellor and inducted into Palpatine's inner circle. If we're looking for ways to make Palpatine look bad, it doesn't get easier than this...
Besides the diamonds (nice) and dragons (nicer) and geneticists (nicest?), I should also point out that Arkania is the site of an Old Republic Jedi Enclave, and also contains the mostly-vaporized ruins of the original Sith 'Great Library' at Veeshas Tuwan. You know, it really might be worthwhile to set up a base there at some point...
Jatir sector
- Plavin VI: home of Dr. Nash Llalik and Dr. Loran Llalik (scientists) [NB: children become best cybernetics/power armor designers in galaxy]
So technically the Llalik family is better known for their Rebellion-era progeny, but seriously: three kids, two of whom become the absolute best designers of cybernetics and power armor in the galaxy by the time they are young adults? Either that's some really good genetics, or Dr. Nash and Dr. Loran decided to do the 'John Stuart Mill' homeschooling route, or both. Whatever the case, I'm honestly interested in meeting the parents...
Ifmix sector
- Yabol Opa: headquarters of University of Yabol Opa (single planet-spanning university), home of Solokin Sakellar (Grand Warden and governor)
I've heard of ecumenopolises before, but this is the first where the entire city-planet is controlled by a single corporation for a single purpose. A planet-sized university... sounds like my kind of people.
Raithal sector
- Castell: homeworld of Gossam race, childhood home of Shu Mai, headquarters of Commerce Guild and Gossam Commandos, site of Abyss Watcher base
- Orbital Shipyard CC-24: shipyard orbiting Castell, controlled by Republic Sienar Systems, produces Imperialis-class pleasure yachts for Palpatine
So apparently Castell is also the site of a Sienar shipyard that builds custom 'pleasure yachts' for Palpatine and his inner circle. I kinda want to get in on that action (if only so we can plant trackers and bugs all over them...).
Hey, @Dr. Snark, a slight correction to the front page. I can pretty much guarantee that our 'Baktoid Arms Manufacturing' factory and Trade Federation businesses are not on Neimoidia proper, but are located on the purse world of Cato Neimoidia. Per the wiki:
Neimoidia was populated by the less capable and aggressive members of the species, all others moving off-world as soon as possible.
It's where the Trade Federation has its headquarters, with Nute Gunray (Viceroy) and Lott Dod (Senator) have their personal 'palace'/fortress/retreats. Plus the landscape is awesome -- massive towering rock arches with cities suspended in massive bridge-structures between them? Sign me up!
Balmorra is an interesting case. The main corporation is a subsidiary of the Techno Union. However, the corporation and the planet itself didn't want to join the Separatists. So they got invaded, then occupied, then liberated by the Republic, and now they're one of the Republic's biggest 'foundry worlds' (and right next door to both Kuat and Neimoidia). I'm wondering if they'd be willing to follow Kuat's lead in giving under-the-table support to the CNS, or if they'd be willing/able to join the CNS outright to ensure they don't burn all their bridges with their parent company...
There is nothing interesting about this planet except the name: "Hino 111". That means there are at least one hundred and ten other planets in the same solar system. Except it's an agriworld, which means it must be in the 'Goldilocks Zone' for terrestrial planets, which means that "111" number doesn't include any of the planets in the outer solar system.
Varvenna sector
- Enisca: sector capital, trade hub on Corellian Trade Spine, senator is strongly anti-Palpatine [compared to Sern Prime and Kashyyyk by Mon Mothma!]
And another! Sadly, this one doesn't have a name -- only a description that they're as much opposed to Palpatine as Sern Prime (whose senator was personally assassinated by Vader) and Kashyyyk (whose populated was enslaved). So... yeah, they're pretty decidedly anti-Palpatine, whoever they are.
Black Nebula sector
- Loronar: ecumenopolis,, headquarters of Loronar Corporation and Loronar Defense Industries (military gear), site of Loronar Shipyards (starships)
Pencael sector
- Byblos: ecumenopolis, headquarters of Byblos Drive Yards (starships, speeders) and University of Byblos, site of SoroSuub, Sienar, and BlasTech facilities
Both Loronar and Byblos are ridiculously impressive. Byblos is what we're trying to turn Taris into (a thriving ecumenopolis with major corporate facilities dotting the cityscape). Loronar is more military-focused, but we might have a shot at persuading Byblos to join the CNS, given our positive relationships with most of the groups they're affiliated with.
...Surprising the K'kybak are not the same as the Celestials, at least as far as I could tell. On the other hand, a 'hyperspace nullifier' superweapon seems like a pretty decent headcanon for how the Celestials managed to construct the barrier between the Unknown Regions and the rest of the galaxy.
Also worth pointing out: that hyperspace nullifier superweapon is apparently just laying around, waiting for some enterprising archaeologist to discover it and turn it on...
Devaron Space subsector (Duluur)
- Devaron: homeworld of Devaronian race (devils), site of Temple of Eedit (force nexus) and Montellian Serat, location of 'Eyes of Laqasa' (Jedi artifact)
@Dr. Snark, we should add DEvaron to our list of archaeological expedition sites. Quite a few items of interest, from the Jedi Temple and light-side nexus, to the Jedi artifact that can penetrate Force Stealth...!
There are a whole bunch of worlds in the 'Tapani sector' region, most of which aren't really relevant to us. On the other hand:
Pelagia Province subsector (Tapani)
- Pelagon: throneworld of House Pelagia (pro-Jedi diplomats), lush water-world, site of Pelagian Shipyards, location of Pelagia Star (super-capital ship)
Another super-capital ship (this one is apparently ridiculously well-shielded -- it was able to withstand sustained bombardment by three Imperial-class Star Destroyers without being destroyed! ) Plus a Jedi-friendly population is always nice, especially compared to:
Mecetti Province subsector (Tapani)
- Nyssa: former center of Mecrosa Order (Sith assassins) [NB: still alive, sponsored by House Mecetti and affiliated with Count Dooku]
- Obulette: throneworld of House Mecetti (militaristic, ties to Count Dooku), headquarters of Obulette Shipyards and House Ministry of Inquiry (spynet)
O hai Sith. Yeah, Dooku (and Palpatine) have been keeping these in their back pocket, but there's an order of Sith assassins waiting to be activated. And the same House Mecetti that funds them, also runs a galaxy-spanning spynet and intelligence agency...
Freeworlds Territory subsector (Tapani)
- Fondor: ecumenopolis, headquarters of Guild of Starshipwrights, site of Fondor Academy (engineers) and Fondor Shipyards (capital ships), anti-CIS
Fakir sector (Bakchou Arm)
- Mrisst: homeworld of Mriss race (scholarly birds), headquarters of Mrisst Trade and Science Academy (galactic renown), site of spirepine (1-km tall tree)
Freeworlds Territory subsector (Tapani)
- Mrlsst: homeworld of Mrlssi race (scholarly birds), headquarters of Mrlsst Academy (best outside Core) and Mrlsst Center (linguistics), under-funded...!
Yep. Two planets in the Colonies (albeit on opposite sides of the Core), with virtually identical names, with virtually identical native sentient species, with virtually identical trade/science academies...
Best of all: this wasn't a typo. There are sources (encylopedia entries, 'HoloNet' articles, etc.) that mention both planets side-by-side.
So anyway, if you ever felt a need to meet a large human-sized bird wearing glasses and studying something nerdy like linguistics... well, now you know you have options.
Qixoni Nebula sector
- Qixoni: asteroid field (planet vaporized by long-ago supernova), rich in Qixoni lightsaber crystals (natural red color, boost Force powers)
If we want to make people thing we're a Sith, it doesn't get better than Qixoni crystals. Natural (non-synthesized) red lightsaber crystal, that also boosts your connection and abilities in the Force? I would love to see Obi-Wan's reaction...
Ophuchi sector
- Aur: site of the Aur Diamonds -- two planet-sized diamonds (former gas giant cores?) and 'asteroid field' diamond cloud, reputed to be Celestial-made
So this is a thing. A solar system with multiple planet-sized diamonds, plus an entire asteroid rich supersaturated with the things, with indications that it was one more Celestial-made mystery.
Shasos sector
- Bardotta: homeworld of Bardottan race, home of Julia (queen), center of 'Dagoyan Order' Force sect (anti-Jedi monks), site of Royal Palace, neutral!
Anyone remember this Clone Wars episode? Even if you repressed the part where Jar Jar gets a love interest, there's still the fact that there's an entire light-side order of Force-using monks who hate the Jedi for the "it's not kidnapping if it's legal" policy.
Also worth pointing out: Bardotta is officially non-aligned/neutral in the Clone Wars. @Dr. Snark, can we roll to see if they join us this turn?
It's where the Trade Federation has its headquarters, with Nute Gunray (Viceroy) and Lott Dod (Senator) have their personal 'palace'/fortress/retreats.
Also worth pointing out: that hyperspace nullifier superweapon is apparently just laying around, waiting for some enterprising archaeologist to discover it and turn it on...
Don't you just love the Force? All this OOC knowledge which we would never be able to act upon if not for its existence. The Force will guide us to maximum profit.
Once upon the time the Home was long forgotten, the asteroid hidden by both its remote location and its secretive nature. However the arrival of Ciaran changed things considerably; now if one looked carefully they could see small ships occasionally entering and leaving the region, the vessels making sure that they were neither detected or followed during their travels.
The unchanged exterior hid more changes to the facilities within; what was once an abandoned mining complex had been partially converted to a training facility for the secretive Agents of the Abyss Watchers. They were one of the organization's best-kept secrets from the rest of the galaxy; a group of Force-users under Ciaran's command that were trained to act as saboteurs, informants, assassins, and whatever other roles she required of them.
While most of them were about as strong as an average Jedi Padawan due to the accelerated nature of their training one of their number had shown considerably more talent in her abilities: the Kaleesh known as Kygeetu san Torgh. Through what could only be described as sheer enthusiasm/determination she had managed to reach a level of proficiency in the Force that was currently unmatched by any of the other Agents.
It was because of this that she was personally invited to meet with Tyro, Ciaran, and Vectivus at the heart of The Home. As she walked through the facility she was shaking in a mix of trepidation and excitement, overjoyed to meet with Ciaran herself...and terrified of accidentally flubbing something at the last second.
As she entered the meeting room, she barely managed to compose herself. "Y-you wanted to see me?" she said, managing to not sound too excited.
"Indeed," Ciaran replied, a look of seriousness on her face rarely seen on her. "According to Tyro you've shown more proficiency in both your Force and general combat training than any other Agent thus far, and looking at you I can confirm that."
"I-t-thank you, my lady!" Kygeetu managed to get out, managing to remember that yes, Force vision was a thing Ciaran could do.
"As such, I've discussed the matter with Tyro and Vectivus here, and the three of us have come to an agreement." Taking off her visor for effect, Ciaran stared directly into Kygeetu's eyes. "Kygeetu san Torgh."
The Kaleesh snapped to attention, barely managing to contain her fidgeting.
"In recognition of your abilities and achievements, I hereby declare you to be the first of our Abyss Walkers, the highest possible rank of our Force corps within the Watchers. You will be given the respect and responsibilities that come with the position, as well as-"
Before Ciaran could finish, Kygeetu had passed out from shock, leaving the rest of the room confused.
"...Er..."
"Well that just happened. Don't worry boss, I can vouch for her-"
"Yes, I know that, but this was important dammit! I had a whole speech and everything!"
"Maybe we should do something a bit more low-key." "I must say that even your soldiers are the most interesting individuals."
"Blast...alright Tyro, get her to the infirmary."
"Why me?"
"Because if it was me, she would just pass out in shock again when she woke up."
AN: This...should not have taken that long. Blame writer's block, internet outages, and getting distracted by certain games coming out recently wait what was that last one just ignore that
Anyway, since I only had the one named Agent from the omakes...well I'd figure I'd make her the first Abysswalker since no one else would have been as interesting and also because why not.
Now, as for the next turn: you people have suggested like 50 different write-in actions while I've been writing these interludes, and to be honest it would be headache-inducing for me to not only go back and figure out what they all were, but also to properly judge them since they'd be buried in posts.
So, as a request, could whoever did suggestions please give me a short (1-2 sentences-ish) description of your action as well as the category it would fall under? It would make going through them all and determining their validity/rewards a lot easier. Also in the future I'd prefer suggesting write-ins in that fashion so I can have an easier time at determining the validity/rewards.
Ex: Write-in Lore Actions: Short summary for action 1
Short summary for action 2
It seems like something that'd be remembered for a very long time, and it'd humanize us in the eyes of our subordinates.
"See, my son, back then, when Ciaran's influence was nowhere near as great as it is now, and when the Abyss Watchers were merely starting out, the leadership decided to create the terrifying Abyss Walkers. The greatest of agents. The elite. The masters of the battlefield. The terrors that make entire armies surrender with their mere presence. The first and greatest of them was a fangirl that fainted when she was chosen by her senpai."
So, as a request, could whoever did suggestions please give me a short (1-2 sentences-ish) description of your action as well as the category it would fall under?
Incidentally, @Dr. Snark, there were a few systems I discovered during my latest survey that were or are neutral and would be inclined to join the CNS. That includes at least one system who (in canon!) applied for membership at the very beginning of the war. Can we roll for those now (and do you want me to list them out) or should we wait until the end of next turn?

If Coruscant and Geonosis were the only planets remaining to their respective factions, I'd tell them to pick a empty planet and fight to the death there where the only ones at risk are volunteers. With the rest of the Galaxy providing a massive fleet to force the issue.
And maybe selling tickets if we could convince Palpatine to get into a fist fight with a fake Sidious.
Megalist of Write-In Proposals for Turn 25, Pt. 1
Martial Write-Ins
[] Offer support for the Grohl Liberation Force: Offer Kligson's militia tangible support -- with intelligence, funding, or even direct backup in a fight -- and suggest high-value CIS targets for them to attack. (Low cost with regular upkeep. Not sure how to work the reward mechanically: +1 free Martial Action would be too much. Perhaps they'd be a bonus for Jango if/when we recruit him as a Hero?)
EDIT: or 'offer support' to paramilitary groups in general -- Grohl Liberation Force for one, but also Antarian Rangers, and other groups that might be willing to fight for us. Plus Kal Skirata's clone commandos -- this would be a generalization of that? Given how expensive this would be as a generalized practice, it'd probably be worth a +1 Martial Action, or at least give us the option of suggesting a target for these groups.
[] Upgrade HK-47: the little psychotic assassin droid has been stuck in a shipwreck on a lava planet for several thousand years. Perhaps it's time we give him a full upgrade. (OR make this a Learning action? Or a Hero action?) Reward: HK-47 gets a big martial & intrigue stat boost.
[] Buy Military Tech: the galaxy is a big place, and some parts in it have very different ideas of weaponry than the rest. Perhaps we can buy some of the more unique tech and equip our heroes and agents with some of it?
- [] Iyranis Gravitics Limited: an obscure company run by the cephalopod race from F'tral in the Outer Rim, they break the laws of physics and sell the results to civilians. I'm sure our forces will find some use for a personal gravity belt, let alone a gravitational-field disruptor. Reward: increased chance of troop survival. Small 'Martial' and/or 'Intrigue' stat boost to various heroes. +10 Income for each Trade Port controlled by the Abyss Watchers (use gravity tech to expedite loading/unloading)
[] Militia Standardization: establish standards for type and quality of equipment used by the CNS Militia and Planetary Defense Forces. Improve their coordination, improve their performance in anti-piracy actions, increase the deterrent they pose to those who might threaten the CNS, and improve mobilization time in case the CNS does join the war.
[] Make the Invisible Hand battle-ready: Thrawn managed to steal Sev'rance Tann's flagship, proving once and for all that he really does belong in the Abyss Watchers. As a modified carrier/destroyer, it's more than capable of waging war on its own. Do so -- ask Sienar and Kuat to contribute to the retrofit, equip it with a squadron or two of Z-95 Headhunters from Incom, recruit a crew willing to serve, reprogram the command deck and communications towards to work with Abyss Watchers systems. (OR Oracle base upgrade) High cost, some upkeep. Reward: +1 Martial action for anti-slavery/anti-piracy strike force
[] Strike against Slavers/Pirates! Slavery and piracy are a lucrative business, which is why so many groups engage in it. Of course, slavery is also illegal, which means we have a pretty good excuse to go on the offensive, to improve our reputation and our organization's galactic goodwill even further and gain a whole bunch of loot.
-[] Zygerrian Slave Guild: one of the biggest and most legendary slavers in the galaxy, they seems to have an under-the-table agreement with Count Dooku to attack Republic-friendly systems. Time to wipe them off the map.
-[] Trandoshan Slavers: this is another CIS-friendly band of slavers, though these are located on Trandosha, next door to the Wookies on Kashyyyk. Time to protect our new investment.
-[] Senex-Juvex Slavers: Senex-Juvex is an isolationist sector of the Republic, whose nobles have been fiercely supportive of Chancellor Palpatine. Attack their slavery operation, to remove some of Palpatine's supporters and to leave him with some egg on his face.
-[] Merson Slavers: Merson is a small CIS-supported pirate fleet operating around the Stenness Node region, recently added to Borvo's criminal empire. Give Borvo a helping hand and strike back, to solidify his control in the region and gain some smuggling income.
-[] Biskaran Pirates: They control a good portion of the galactic south, in the more disconnected Western Reaches of the Inner Rim and Colonies. Free those systems from their pirate overlords, and they'll probably join the CNS in gratitude. Also loot. The Colonies are rich, which means the Biskaran Pirates must be loaded.
-[] Sennex Pirates: They control the acccess lanes into the Hapes Consortium. Take them out, and we'll probably lay claim to the Telkur Station shadowport as a smuggling base into the infamously isolationist Hapes Cluster, and gain contacts in their underworld.
[] False-Flag Piracy: We have pirates. Use them for live-fire 'tests' of the CNS defenses, to provide us with an excuse to build up our CNS military forces. Bonus points if we also use our combat droid squads for these missions, so we can blame the 'rogue elements' of the CIS (cough Techno Union) for preying on us and our neighbors.
[] Covert Raiders: We have pirates. Use them to strike against our political enemies -- the Techno Union, or the Colicoids, or the Corporate Alliance, or Shu Mai's personal forces, or Palpatine's allies around the galaxy. Lots of targets, lots of loot!
[] To Be A Pirate Queen: We have pirates. Use them to strike against other pirate bands, specifically offering surrender terms of recruitment to join the Abyss pirate fleets. Small cost, regular upkeep. Reward: variable loot each turn (treat like a salvage roll), chance of recruiting more pirate as we 'roll up' the Outer Rim space.
[] Mercenary work for Hutts: this was @Andres110's suggestion to turn this into an income-producing action. We might also do mercenary work for some of the other/nicer non-affiliated parties, though there'd be less money involved in contracting out with SoroSuub.
[] Recover the Chu'unthor (Martial option): fight me bro. Seize the Chu'unthor by force (no pun intended), Singing Mountain Clan be darned.
[] Reclaim the Arkanian Legacy from Omonoth: send in our special forces to kill the exogorths and seize the ship (OR HK-47 Hero action...)
Diplomacy Write-Ins
[] Recover the Chu'unthor (Diplomacy option): reach out to the Singing Mountain Clan and persuade them to let us take the Chu'unthor for our own!
[] Shards Encased In Iron: contact with Orax and Dweem (Shard homeworld & center of 'Iron Knights' Force sect), potential to recruit Shard engineers. The big change/suggestion is that Orax is really close to Polis Massa, homeworld of a race that specializes in archaeology, and headquarters of a company that produces archaeology droids. Would that be a separate action, or could we gain contact with Polis Massa in the same result?
[] Approach Jedi: I've suggested this action a few turns now, but I'm not sure if or how it fits into your plans.
-[] Quinlan Vos: Jedi Sentinel, who is either wrestling with the dark side (canon) or 'fallen' and joined Dooku's band of Dark Acolytes as a spy (legends). Either way, reach out and see if we can't recruit him.
-[] Master Tholme: alternately, Quinlan Vos would be quite a risk. Better to reach out to his spymaster, the grey-aligned Jedi Watchman. Offer him use of our Force-friendly cybernetics to get back to fighting condition, offer to exchange information, start working on recruiting him as an ally if not as an advisor!
-[] Anakin Skywalker: follow up on previous conversations?
-[] Ahsoka Tano: have Thrawn continue to work his magic.
[] Reach Out to Bounty Hunters: whatever their reputation, there are plenty of chapters of the Bounty Hunters Guild that would love a chance to coordinate our efforts. House Benelex focuses on anti-kidnapping and anti-slavery operations, while others focus on anti-piracy operations. Lots of potential.
[] Undermine Palpatine's allies: basically, I'd really like to canonize @Panory's omake where Thrawn manipulates Mas Amedda. Undercutting Palpatine's support is just an added bonus. (OR tie in with 'Black Information' Intrigue Action?)
[] Approach Wookies: Kashyyyk is the headquarters of the Claatuvac Guild, an organization of Wookie navigators who maintain an archive full of secret hyperlanes across the galaxy. (This is why Kashyyyk was such a high-priority target, and why it remains a major battlefield in the war.) Ask if our Silver Cross can't use a couple of those hyperlanes for our humanitarian efforts -- never mind that we'd also use them for smuggling.
[] Between the Light and Dark: more Force sects to make contact with!
-[] Blackguard: a gray-aligned sect from Mustafar, who descended from a pre-Ruusan Sith dissatisfied with his order's kill kill kill thing. They seek to learn from other Force sects, and may have contacts with quite a few other groups around the galaxy. (Reward: shortcut to make contact with many/most of these other groups?)
-[] Followers of Palawa: a gray-aligned sect from Bunduki, on the far western edge of the galaxy, they study midichlorians and the Force without regard to light or dark, and developed Teräs Käsi as an explicitly anti-Jedi martial art. Also worth noting: most of the Followers are apparently immune to mind tricks and Force telepathy.
-[] Dagoyan Order: a light-side monastic sect on Bardotta, who specialize in meditation. More than anyone, they can teach us and our agents how to increase our connection to the Force.
Stewardship Write-Ins
[] Buy Hoersch-Kessel Drive: a once-thriving starship company that originally produced our Oracle Lucrehulk. After the invasion of Naboo it was purchased by Nimbanel bureaucrats, whose ironic mismanagement have driven it to the edge of bankruptcy. Buy it! This would be very high cost, but it would give us access to a lot of major shipyards (Gwori and Dac among them), and the ability to start building a fleet of our own!
[] Invest in SubPro: they're considered a second-tier starship company, who have struggled to maintain any sort of market share. Despite producing remarkably high-quality goods -- they build Durge's NovaSword, and collaborated with Incom on the Z-95 Headhunter design -- they have a horrid reputation for shoddy workmanship. Fortunately, Lady Ciaran has an incredible reputation, access to Lellish PR specialists, and a whole bunch of money. Offer help with their PR problems, in exchange for partial (or majority?) ownership of the company, with access to their products and lots of income.
[] Silver Cross PR campaign: use our reputation, our Lellish specialists, and our money to start an ad campaign and generate more donations for our Silver Cross humanitarian efforts. (OR turn into a base upgrade instead?) Reward: decreased upkeep for all Silver Cross-related items
[] Contact shipbuilders: we made contact with Kuat, but there's one other I'm interested in...
-[] Industrial Heuristics: they haven't built one recently, but they still have the schematics for a mobile war college "arxeum ship". Make contact and/or buy one from them...
Intrigue Write-Ins
[] Recover the Chu'unthor (Intrigue option): sneak in and steal the Chu'unthor, taking the Singing Mountain Clan unaware.
[] Reconnect with Jedi Sentinels (gain benefit from the ongoing information exchange!) May also apply to Republic Group
[] Connect with Bothan Spynet: the Bothans are neutral in the war, and they run the most far-reaching spynet in the galaxy. Make contact! (Reward: potential for collaboration, potential for CNS recruitment)
[] Connect with Baron Papanoida: we just saved Pantora from a Trade Federation blockade. The leader of the Pantora government -- the father of a prominent anti-Palapatine senator -- happens to control an intelligence agency/spynet in his own right. He's also a media mogul who owns a considerable entertainment network, so making contact with him should be profitable as well as useful.
[] Infiltrate the Colicoid Creation Nest: sabotage their factories, and steal the blueprints for their battle droids (droidekas, buzz droids, etc).
[] Infiltrate Mechis III: they're the biggest droid-producing planet in the galaxy. Steal the blueprints of everything!
[] Infilitrate Thyferra: they're the sole producer of bacta for the galaxy. Steal a couple samples, learn their production process, steal their recipe, profit!
[] Jailbreak Ovolot Qail Uthan: mad scientist who designed an anti-clone bioweapon that Palpatine now controls. She's more familiar with clone genetics than just about anyone, so despite her craziness, she should be very useful for working on the clone aging problem, not to mention those inhibitor chips.
[] Ask Kal Skirata for access to Treasury data, to track Palpatine's financial assets, holdings, connections to Damask Holdings (contact Keets Freely for tie-in to his earlier investigative journalism?)
[] Slice into Muunilist records to gain access to Damask Holding information & assets: learn where Hego Damask's assets went, find out how to steal them (or just steal them as part of the same action), gain access to specific Muunilist base purchases to gain his old property.
[] Sell Information to both sides: we're already hiring out our mercenaries to the Republic and the CIS. Now hire out our intelligence network.
[] Black Information (CIS) : falsify evidence to turn the CIS leadership against each other
[] Black Information. They're better off dead anyway: An intriguing if perfidious and devious opportunity has come up, due to the CIS and Sith penchant for paranoia and killing those they perceive as working against them with very little judicial process. What better way than to remove your enemies by getting your enemies to do it for you. By falsifying evidence to an extent that it can be considered irrefutable we can see to it that troublesome individuals in the CIS are not so troublesome. Chance of success ??%. Rewards: CIS war effort hampered, Quality of CIS leadership weakened. Extra stuff i guess to make it a more attractive pick??
[] Black Information (Palpatine): falsify evidence to turn Palpatine's allies against each other, to undermine his network of supporters and inner circle advisors. Possible tie in with @Panory's "Cannibalism" omake?
[] Public Relations Vaccination: plant a bunch of false stories and scandals about us in various news media around the galaxy. Let them spread, let them fester... then prove them utterly baseless. Next time someone tries to undermine us in the press, no one will believe them, even if it's true. (Per @Andres110)
Lore
[] Research Alternative Force Schools
-[] Baron Do Sages: learn hasset-durr -- electricity manipulation! (deactivate electronics, boost comms, light-side Force lightning, tie-in to mechu daru?)
-[] Voss Mystics: a gray-aligned group of healers who specialize in Force precognition. According to the wiki, their Force visions are never wrong! And they recently joined the CNS... (learn Force precognition and visions -- bonus to 'rerolls'? More information in Rumor Mill?)
[] Learn mechu-daru: HK-47's mentions of his master's unusual Force skill has caught your attention. Analyze HK-47's design -- and examine that odd C-3PX protocol/assassin droid as well -- to see how mechu-daru works -- an intuitive understanding of droids, computers, and machinery? -- and how we could apply it in other contexts.
[] Diversify Abyss Agent and Abyss Walker training: allow our Force Users to specialize as scientists, diplomats, healers, spies, Force researchers, archaeologists, etc. (OR wait until we own the Chu'unthor and treat this as a base upgrade?)
[] Archaeological Expeditions
-[] Ambria: light-side nexus, dark-side nexus, Sith obelisk, Jedi Enclave... Huh, that's seems like an important planet. Wonder what we'll find there. (Spoilers: Darth Bane's compound!)
-[] Lehon/Rakata Prime: those Rakatan artifacts from Coruscant got your attention. I wonder what else is on the Rakatan homeworld (Spoilers: Revan's holocron, Star Force pieces, other Rakatan tech!)
-[] Telos: besides the Jedi Enclave, what else is there? (Spoilers: the'Telos holocron', 5000 years anthology from Revan/Bane/Sidious!)
-[] Arkan 13: site of 'The Holorepository', biggest non-Jedi collection of Lore and Force artifacts in the galaxy (also, contact with Ebenn Q3 Baobab?)
-[] Seymarti V: homeworld of a highly advanced but now extinct race (site of 'hyperspace nullifier weapon'!)
-[] Devaron: site of light-side force nexus and 'Temple of Eedit' (site of 'Eyes of Laqasa' Jedi artifact)
-[] Arkania: site of abandoned Jedi Enclave, ruins of original Sith 'Great Library'!
-[] Qixoni: asteroid field, rich in 'qixoni crystals' (natural red color! boost Force connection and abilities...! So much trolling potential!)
-[] Koann: not a Force site, but the location of the Republic's scout/explorer archives. Discover new systems, new hyperlanes, new potential!
Learning Write-Ins
[] Reclaim The Foundry from Nanth'ri asteroid field: HK-47 mentioned it, but wow do we want that badly. (OR Intrigue action, OR HK-47 Hero action?)
[] Contact Mycroft: access to exotic creatures, possibly including taozin (OR use as flavor for existing 'Taozin' action?)
[] Human Resources: Search for Scientists -- have our human resources department contact various hospitals, medcenters, and medically gifted species to recruit scientists for Karada and/or for our work with Kal Skirata's clone commandos. (OR Stewardship action?)
[] Reverse-Engineer Commando Gear: Kal Skirata's clone commandos are remarkably well equipped. As Kal for some samples of their gear, and reverse engineer it for our own use. (Per @Fanhunter696)
Personal Write-Ins
[] Learn from Darth Vectivus -- he was taught by a full-fledged Sith, so even if his holocron only includes the Force phantom technique, Vectivus himself should be able to teach us some other more typical Sith-y skils...
[] Learn from Obi-Wan -- we own a lightfoil (gift from our gramps) and have some experience with Makashi. However, Obi-Wan is a master of Soresu, the defensive Form III of lightsaber combat, and he is a friend who knows that we have been targeted by assassins. Ask him to give us some pointers...
Hero Write-Ins
[] Under the Knife: can we reclassify our Arkanian genemods as 'Hero Actions' rather than Learning actions?
Thrawn
[] Mission to Space City: the galaxy's biggest museum, and it's a derelict. Recover and claim for the Abyss Watchers! (Gain as base?)
-[] Might require payment to Sienar to customize & retrofit with hyperdrives?
-[] Altnerately, have Thrawn consult with Shilaea Motacc (galaxy's leading expert on large-scale propulsion systems) and to it ourselves!
Grievous
[] Train with the Ailon Nova Guard (make contact, collaborate on major projects, potential for CNS recruitment in case CNS is drawn into war)
Cheriss
[] Learn Mechu-daru: analyze HK-47 (and/or C-3PX) to understand what Revan and the Sith apprentice did, and expand her intuitive understanding of electronics (as a Shard) to gain an intuitive understanding of droids & other machines
HK-47
[] Personal Shields: build a few for our scientists to reverse engineer (replaces Learning action? or simply accelerates research & makes it cheaper?)
[] Upgrades: he spent several centuries in a lava planet. Make him combat-ready. (OR tie in to phrik research or Cheriss's mechu-daru action)
-[] In-Depth Analysis: have our scientists examine his chassis & protocols. Reward: improve custom-droid options? (OR extra reward for 'Upgrade' action)
[] Mission to Omonoth: reclaim the Arkanian Legacy and bring it back for repairs (OR Martial action)
[] Mission to Nanth'ri: reclaim The Foundry and make it ready for Abyss Watchers use (OR Intrigue or Learning action?)
[] Mission to Nar Shaddaa: reclaim Revan's Estate (OR turn into Nar Shaddaa base purchase?)
PR-1
[] Analyze the Assassin Droid: Research HK-47's chassis, assassin protocols, and self-improvement routines to apply to self...!
Asajj
[] Between Light and Dark: assign Asajj to diplomacy missions to contact other Force sects around galaxy (not including Darthomir) to learn techniques!
[] Mission to Rattatak: reclaim Asajj's homeworld, clear out corruption, convert Castle Ventress into Abyss Watcher base!
Silas
[] Recruit Scoundrels: are we going to be able to pick up his original hero action at some point? I'm curious to see who you would introduce.
A/N: Base purchases & upgrades to follow -- that list got pretty long as well.
