I'm curious, what do they think would happen if you just sort covered a Wound with ysalamiri?
I'm guessing that even if it did work it would either take time* or would leave them defenseless while it's working. Politically the Jedi can't really leave the temple right now and if Palpatine finds out a bunch of the Jedi are in one place and don't have access to the force He might activate order 66 right there and then.

*that the Jedi don't have due to Palpatine.

For the [Don't I Know You From Somewhere?: Bring in a character from another franchise] Meta achievement, does anyone know which character it's referring to?

Chronologically speaking it'd be the Silencer since he was first.

@Dr. Snark Here's the first set of meta achievements! Different format to differentiate them from the "normal" achievements, also will be in sets of 8 instead of 16.

Beautiful. Also I love how well Teron's and my current avatars work for the You Are In Command Now image.

I do admit I'm slightly terrified for what the images for the next set will be though...

I half expect an achievement named "we would be honored if you would join us" about Anakin.

Also, about Palpatine, the fact he's got so many plans and failsafes is what makes him such a great antagonist. Even if we rolled perfectly well, I'd still expect Bariss to come out and make a mess or any other failsafe that our old sith lord has.

Seeing as I am generally ignorant in such matters can someone enlighten me as to which characters had been imported from other franchises? And yes I'm aware that our bolt hole in the unknown regions is named after the kingdom in Dark Souls, it was made rather clear in its omake.

I think we fought Wesker for a few rounds, but its been a while.

That should be all for now unless you guys have more questions/recommended changes (since this is the first major compilation of information since the hiatus, I fully expect that I may have missed a detail or two somewhere). Rumor Mill should be up tomorrow or Monday-ish, since a lot of what's normally folded under that has been handled during these past 3 updates.

Also, as much of a meme as it may be...

We're in the endgame now.
Well. I can say with two wedges. The good news is; we now could throw dice to kill Palpatine now, under "Star Wars III" tier of End-game. The bad news is well...
Third: Yes, the overall success chance has gone down since last turn. Just to be clear, the news of the Wound kinda sorta tossed a wrench into the gears. Just a touch.
Probability of mending the Force Wound not added due to insufficient information

Current Probability Of Successfully Achieving All Relevant Directives: 8%
This. I'd tentatively say that "8%" at best, might be under a coin toss of "would Palpy exploit/be one with the Wound", to become a Turbo-Charged Overlord or not. Add to the hypothetical fact (OOC?) He's got a 'spy' in the Jedi Order? I'll likely say roughly at best; "a turn-or-so" before eyes on Abyss Walkers (or contingency) leads to Palpatine making moves to 'go-to' Force Wound, to be a "Sith FUCK YOU!" Bomb, or power-up montage.

To of course, say nothing on "Odds of a heavy Sith/Jedi battle now", could have in potentially aggravating that Force Wound to... A birth of some "OCP Foreshadowed" Abyssal fish, that could fuck everyone majorly. If not by Nihlis tier of comeback.

So. Probably a catch 22 case of "GTFO" on either trigger an assassination attempt now, end of turn. Or try to balance the buttons to do at most, one-two or so turn/year extensions, before we play Anarchy chess against Palpy himself.

Regardless. The short term assassination, once Anakin is fully useful/loyal enough to not go Wild Card on is, is at least reliable. It'd be the rest of the political salvation, or clusterfucks that'd be the issue (IE: Keep Padme alive ~/~ ideally, keep the keys/rules to power in safe, hands. Choke-sponsored by Vader.)

AS an added PS: I'll throw this as a hypothetical worst-case scenario...
As a final note: I am certain it has already crossed your mind, but if Palpatine gets truly, truly desperate and becomes aware of the Wound, I am certain he would attempt to merge with it much like Nihilus did millennia ago. One final curse for the galaxy as a whole. That cannot be allowed to happen.
Oh god I had not considered that possibility. Yeah that would be... bad.
"In Death I Become Eternal."
To throw how things can go Major bad, if we're going beyond Disney here. On top of becoming an undying Force Ghost overlord that'd put "Ghost Force" Obi-Wan to shame;
  • Imagine if Palpatine can outright possess anyone he chooses or desires. Like say, Anakin? If not Ciaran? Spooky ghosty bullshit wise.
  • Imagine if from beyond that Wound - Palpatine can 'fish' for bullshit OCP from the multiverse. Like say, become a Disgaea-tier Demon. Or craft some truly, abominable Wound-spawns fueled, and sponsored by Sith Alchemy.
  • ??? Imagine if from that Wound? Palpatine could give birth to an unholy amount of wraiths or worse, to screw everyone's eternity, to some horror event far worse than Berserk's Eclipse montage?
That is, speculative examples. Assuming, the 'sane (Sith)' scenario might be to jump into that bandwagon, to deny Palpatine his Force Wound power up, at the low low cost of the eternal existence/souls of all in Coresent. (And if that just so happened to include Ciaran's soul in the process. Alongside Anakin's...)

But yeah. Regardless. We're in End Game. Better pre-empt and start escalating, towards that 'press that button with the greatest odds possible', and even then. It'd likely be a gamble, or gambit at the pace of "how long until Palpatine starts his Orders" to take over the Star Wars universe?

So Anyone know any CIS force users who aren't Dooku's Dark Acolytes? Considering backstabbing and siding with the most powerful is longstanding Darksider tradition I don't think we can trust any of the Acolytes in the fight against Palpatine. I expect Dooku is planning to keep them out of the way be either culling them or send them on missions that'll preoccupy them when it all goes down. Assuming they're not all dead already of course. Though I suspect most of them avoided their canonical death date at least.

As far as I'm aware the only force user in the CIS that isn't some sort of sith wannabe ( and thus can likely be counted on) is Shonn Volta. A sniper that can guide blaster bolts with the force is not to be discounted.

Some additional thought, over a trinket that might bar a "Force Wound Eternal" Overlord of Bad End montages;
You say that, but all I heard was "Shiv Palpatine".
And now that you've said that, you've guaranteed that's the final indignity for him -- stabbed with the Dagger of Mortis, defeated and dying, the last words he hears are "I guess one could say you've been sheev'd" followed by maniacal cackling and then comparatively blissful oblivion
... We have to do this. Joke it may be we must do this.
Meme wise; and to "nip a hypothetical" in a bud. This, /10.

If we can bar Palpatine from going "Final Fantasy 2" Demon/God Sith-Emperor in the afterlife. It needs to be done, as an improv/planned Finalé of the current moment. Only caveat would be it might be our 'exposure' moment to the likes of Obi-Wan. Inquisition tier of headaches.

But~. If it were for a greater good (shilled message.) It'd be excusable. Or at least; enough to send pointed concerning messages to the likes of Yoda. Over how a 'shadow', defeated/brought balance against a 'darkness'.

And has plans to deal with a Force Wound, even if the Jedi Order don't like it.
