Why do we want Blazing Chains again?
.............we could do so much stuff with it.
here imagine this, a sand storm, ciaran in the middle, exept the sand is lasers
Seriously though, if she'd been a bit more powerful and picked up by the Jedi as a child she'd probably be Mace Windu's (former at this point) padawan and he'd be happy for it.
honostly that would be pretty cool, i wonder what jedi!ciaran would be like

hmm, Jerec exhibits some of Dark Side syndromes. We know he started partially like Kreia as in knowledge to understand but now..... Well Ciaran should start keeping him in check, just in case. Still nice to finally meet him again and this just confirmed: Miraluka are fucking AWESOME!!

Synergy with Lava crystal blaster? It'd be a fucking terror for a hand cannon blaster round to suddenly veer around a corner and take you out via splash damage.

Mantle of the Force will definitely make things more interesting for CQC. And if we use Lava crystal to create some "unique" blaster, with advanced Blazing Chains.... That's some firepower!
add in Old Republics personal Shields and suddenly = All-Range precision/area-off-affect Lightning Bruiser !!! sorry but MY WANT!

I'd prefer learning Form V from Anakin and bashing people to death with our Master Matukai and magic sword. It's the optimal path to making us as deadly as possible.

On Two Swords:
May contain spoilers for Tales of Symphonia, but also informs about the use of two swords at once.

"If one sword has a power of 100, two should make it 200." This is said by the Book Dumb Idiot Hero of the game. Let's not dumb Ciaran down to the Book Dumb Idiot Hero level.

The only exception to my blatant refusal of a two-blades approach would be if we started doing Telekinetic Lightsaber Combat, like our mentor, mostly because at that point it's not about you wielding the weapons it's about using the force to have the weapons wield themselves, at which point it's more about just how many of them you can carry and/or use (at which point shenanigans like the Lightsaber Pike, Lightwhip, Double-Bladed Lightsaber, etc. really come into their own. Seriously, fire up X-Box era Battlefront 2 on any map you can use Darth Maul and tell me that throwing the double-saber isn't creating a wide line of death).

If we do start doing Telekinetic Combat, might I also recommend carrying a couple of blasters on the off chance our field of blades doesn't stop everything? Throw in Blazing Chains Advanced to add to our Secret Bonus Boss Quotient.

On Mantle:
You always, always keep any artifact that multiplies your power across the board (even if only by a factor of 1.4 or so).

On Jerec:
If it acts like a dark-side philosophy, talks like a dark-side philosophy, and smells like a dark-side philosophy...it's a dark side philosophy, regardless of what alignment one might be on presently. Jerec in particular is talking like an aspiring "I Must Have All The Power And Knowledge" villain, the sort that doesn't play nice with others and doesn't have room for anything but The Road To Power. Given that Sion and Nihilus tapped into the Eldritch Evil Side of the Force...wait.

Parallels.

History doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes.

Kreia->Ciaran (Reject the Sith, Reject the Jedi)
Sion->Maul (Hold Self Together With Hate / Pain / Anger)
Nihilus->Jerec (Always Chasing, Never Satisfied)

"Knowledge," he replied. "Here in the Unknown Regions there is so much that has yet to be discovered, so much that has not been tainted by preconceptions or fear or anything of the sort." His voice began to rise in intensity as he went on. "While I was in the known galaxy, I was...stymied. While it is true that the Order contains a wealth of information, old records, ancient teachings, there has been much that has been suppressed or ignored over the millennia. But here, in the vast unknown..." Jerec smiled slightly. "There is nothing that can hinder my search now." He turned slightly to face Ciaran. "I am certain you understand. Knowledge is power, whether it be about the Force or the galaxy as a whole."
I'm pretty sure this is exactly the line of reasoning that caused Exar Kun to fall to the dark side.

Of course, Exar Kun also thought it was a good idea to go to Korriban and make deals with the Phantoms. So he probably wasn't the brightest guy.

To be honest, it's also a big chunk of why Ciaran fell to the dark side. "A sith holocron? Well, I'm sure I can handle it without going crazy. And there's just so much to learn!"
Honestly, I would expect Ciaran to delegate things to other people since she doesn't have the time to go on full on dark side she got a business to run. Also don't we have Darth Vectivus? We could probably get him to read that thing and break down it's lessons so that it won't turn everybody crazy.

we totaly are though, we just use the light and arnt super crazy
Then by what standard are we in the dark side? Modern Jedi like Mace Windu use aspects of it, to a similar degree without going super crazy, and basically everyone agrees that with all his faults, he is still a lightsider. Besides, that whole Light or Dark No In Between philosophy undermines a whole lot of the character growth and world building @Dr. Snark has done. The only way to honestly believe that would be to willingly ignore the Malachor and Mortis arches.

Why do we keep having to have this argument?

"Now let me make something perfectly clear. As much as the media might say otherwise, I am no saint. I've killed people because it served my ends, ruined the lives of those who dared to stand against me, and built lies to deflect the suspicions of others. If people knew the truth about me they'd call me the villain of their stories.

Alert: Using slurs is kinda a big deal
are you literaly retarded?

sorry if it was rude but.... the mantle of the force is KINDA a big deal.

using slurs is kinda a big deal C'mon, mate. I HAVE to infract you because you said it. It's not something the Staff can let slip by.

Maybe a Magistrate will understand if you explain you were frustrated and that chose your words poorly in the heat of the moment but as it stands, this sort of thing is not condoned.

I'm not at all disagreeing that Ciaran is by and large a horrible person who accidentally keeps doing a lot of good. It's good characterization in the moral grey area, that so many authors fail to get. My quible is that people seem so willing to ignore what @Dr. Snark has established, in regards to the force, so that they can continue making the blanket generalization SW encourages, when Snark seemingly goes out of his way to ensure such generalizations don't apply here.
