We also put him in contact with an organization a little further afield, the Outer Rim Colonial Defense Force, who we separately helped fund (as a broadly philanthropic thing to do). We didn't realize Dooku planned to use those 'positive relations' to set up the Separatist movement, or that the ORCDF would become the ostensible 'core' of the CIS military (the bulk of the Separatist droid armies in the field still belong to the individual corporations who sit on the Separatist Council).

Oh no, we knew what the Outer Rom Colonial Defence Force was and we knew what Dooku's plans were.

Early on there was a strong pro-CIS faction among the quest voters, though it kinda withered when options to help the CIS dried up.

i always thought of it more as a good way to make some money and contacts then being pro-CIS.

but that might just be me.
i thought the plan was more like be the middle man and get wealthy running guns and info to both sides.

then dooku and his sithy overlord pushed us to pick a side where the CIS would have been the more logical side of things for us at the time and we said.
no thanks, we will pick our own side thank you very much.
and then pretty much did that.

i think it was the one where we told them not all the be generals or something?

i might be wrong, i`m not sure.

Alright, so I have something of a personal announcement to make - don't worry, it's not bad news by any stretch of the imagination.

While I sorta kinda announced this back during the last major update it was small and quite frankly cowardly announcement since I ended up hiding it behind a spoiler tag.

So, I want to let everybody know that after some intense internal debate I've decided to bite the bullet and try my hand at opening up a Patreon so that I can potentially turn something I love into something that, while not becoming a full-on career (yet - one day I intend on writing full-time), would at least be a decently-paying part time job.

I've been nervous about formally announcing it since the day I opened it up because I've been legitimately terrified of the idea that you, my beloved audience, would somehow take this the wrong way and assume that you would have to start paying for content you've enjoyed pro bono for the past two years. (In fact, in 8 days it will be this quest's 2-year anniversary!) The idea of coming across as that selfish after everything I've done over the last two years, and far more importantly making you believe that I'm betraying the trust you all have placed in me is something that terrifies me immensely even now, and it's what's been keeping me from being more confident about this endeavor.

As such, I want to make this absolutely clear: I will never stop bringing you the story of Ciaran and the Abyss Watchers even if I don't get a dime from that Patreon. I love writing this story too much, and you all deserve the right to see it continue and eventually end without question - not just because you are an audience who has the right to seeing a story through, but because you all have been what has kept this quest going ever since I took over. Whether it's been something like writing an omake or creating fanart or just simply participating, showing enthusiasm, and making your voice heard, I will not deny that it's been you guys that have been keeping this quest going more than anything else. And more than that I fully intend on writing more stuff in the future no matter what happens, because there are more stories that I want to tell and I intend on telling them come what may.

Anyway. That's all I have to say on that matter.

The next quest update should be up in a couple of days. I intend on ensuring that the execution of the plan will be just as insane as the creation of it was. :V

Question, we forced tamed the king rancor and still have some type of bond with it, does that mean we made it our Familiar? If so can we use force powers through it like a real space wizard?

Sorry, could not resist.:D

Dr. Snark is holding the quest hostage until he gets a million dollars. Start 9 ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ノ RIOT ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ノ

What? You want us to pay you or you will stop writing? Despicable! :D

Well, I am looking forward to the execution of the plan.

How do we know that Ciaran hasn't already taken out Dr. Snark and this isn't merely a body double trying to maximize profits for the Abyss Watchers in the aftermath of breaking free of the tyranny of the author?
