Nah, Rancors are smart. Maybe not people smart, but more of a very bright dog... and it can kill you easier than a dog. So let's think of something that sounds like a name.
Rancors are fully sapient. They just can't speak basic. Plenty of them understand it though, including ours considering his reaction to Ciaran proposing a joke name, and they're perfectly capable of learning to read and write.

Obi-Wan and Siri going to Tython and getting Jedi-Betrothed wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. It's discard-and-draw for humor elements (dropping Ciaran teasing him about his love life but adding Obi-Wan getting to tease her.)
