[X] Plan Let's Invest in Talent
Firstly in regards to Orion's business plan, I do not think that it's wise to purchase TSR when we've just created Talsorian. I said this before when it came to buying Charlton, but buying another company that specializes in your subsidiary's main product right after you made/bought it is going to lead to major tensions and unnecessary overbloat. Imagine the betrayal that Mike Pondsmith will feel that right after publishing Cyberpunk 2013 and his comapny working on the Star Wars RPG, we just bought his biggest competitor and the author of the famous and beloved Dungeons and Dragons? Mike will probably feel insanely jealous and slighted that we are pushing Talsorian, the company we intended to push our tabletop through to the side. Don't forget that we already have a shit ton of bonuses to Talsorian thanks to Magoose rewards.
To me, it just doesn't make sense for Orion to do this after he pushed for Talsorian support so massively with lots of omakes. This is completely different from Hanna-Barbera purchase because Hanna-Barbera makes American cartoons while Sunrise makes anime and Hanna-Barbera does comedy while Sunrise is mecha and superheroes, and Dreamworks overall handles films. Talsorian and TSR under Lucasfilms would be two companies competing in a niche market. It'd just get ugly fast.
I guess I could live with a plan that does the Bruce Lee franchise, but I'll never give an inch on the Lucasfilm studio campus thing. Just build up the Irish film industry by distributing Irish films or partnering with Irish studios.
As substitutes, let's
support Talsorian Games by adding The Forgotten Realms to its IP Catalog. In regards to Dungeons and Dragons, we should just try to either do a GI Joe and do a partnership to make a D&D film or series, or later once Talsorian has been properly built up, we do a Wizards of the West Coast, buy TSR when it's in deep financial troubles, and merge it into Talsorian.
@overmind I do like your Network plans, since we have another free action from The Bros distribution, can you please include this to build up Lucas TV's catalog?
-[] James D. Parriott. A veteran of television who has worked on many iconic series such as Six Million Dollar Man, Wonder Woman, and Incredible Hulk, Parriott is pitching a Sci-fi show about a time traveler and his sidekick from the present traveling across time to major historical events, and making sure history unfolds correctly. Some cool adventure stories combined with a great concept and educational value, you think it could be an awesome show for all audiences and help develop Lucasfilms' Sci-Fi edge on the small screen.
For those who don't know, I'm referencing Voyagers! which is a neat show that combines early Doctor Who with Mr. Peabody and Sherman sort of and I think can be an 80's Classic.
