    TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

    To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

    I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

    I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

    I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

Both teams have recently made some major trades and are looking to have some strong years ahead, so they would be a wise choice for Carrie even if she's mainly a Baseball fan. If nothing else, most of Hollywood is gonna want to be your friends for Lakers tickets.

One of the leading publishers on the market, Bantam is a powerhouse in paperback publishing and usually the go-toe choice for media tie-ins with George having published his Star Wars novelization and Splinter of the Mind's Eye with Bantam. As a brilliant writer, Carrie would make for a great leader and most likely guide Bantam to new heights of commercial literature.

    Two choices that I think would fit Carrie. Batnam is a very natural fit for her and the Lakers and Kings are a far superior choice to the Chargers. Wish we could purchase the Rams but sadly I don't think they'd be open for sale considering the owner just died and his wife and children own the new shares. Also for Lakers and Kings, if we don't purchase this now we can't purchase again.

    Well, I know that we can buy these business with the Investment Actions... But the extra fluff of playing Shark Tank with the missus is other thing entirely

    That is why I asked to get this action once or twice per year for the extra fluff, not each few turn turn or anything like that...

    The point of the memory foam write in is to buy the technology rights so NASA can't release the technology in a few years.

    It's a long-term way of cornering a future pillow and mattress market.

    Well, the thing is that I don´t even know if that would be available for purchase (it was a secret NASA project after all)... And even if the memory foam technology entered the public domain in the early 80s domain, basically no mattress producer used memory foam for almost a decade until Fagerdala World Foams did it in the late 80s...

    Besides that IIRC the memory foam was patented by NASA in the early 60s, and I am not an expert in the legalese of patents, But I am pretty sure that even if we buy that technology from NASA we could only use it for a couple of years at most (since patents right for exclusivity ends after 20 years)...

    Star Wars is reigniting the space race. I think it very possible that if Bruce or particularly Carrie go anywhere near NASA a oh by the way you might find one of our non classified patients interesting moments could plausibly happen.


    True but if the formulae is tweaked slightly like the swedes did then there is 20 years on that formulae and a whole bunch of lucasfilm lawyers.

    I want this. this is the prefect next step for the body pillow empire but wouldn't it be cooler to see if we can buy it for her?

    Carrie has Mary as an automatic toy tester as well as two soon to be volunteers in addition to Bruce and Robin. Bruce because then it passe the Dad test and robin because he is a big kid himself.

    Can this be done? The Clippers as we know them now moved in the late 70's to San Diego, and becoming sports Mogul is a dream I'll never get to live.

    [X]Purchasing and Saving the Delorian Motor Company: You are saddened to learn that Delorian was not able to get his cars out on time. But you strongly suspected that with his current track record, someone with more money and experience, like Carrie, can swoop in and save the company.     Why not vote for the Lakers and Kings write-in if you want to get into sports? Two great teams and we don't have to spend money moving them.

    He bought both teams in 1979 and since this turn took place right before both seasons start, I'm pretty sure Magoose can handwave it so Carrie gets both teams instead of Buss. Also if Magoose confirms that we can buy the Rams before the Owner dies I wouldn't mind buying them.
     
    Quick question to the thread. I don't recall who said it, but someone mentioned before the idea of spinning Great Mouse Detective off into a animated mystery show for kids. I don't recall who mentioned that, but I just wanted to ask if that person is looking to follow through on that idea themselves or if they're not going to do anything with it? Just so that I know if I should on a pitch for it.
