Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

The only thing that really speaks to me is having either Steve or Brian do Hobbit.

Of course, if we could get the two to cooperate like Steve and George are doing for Indy, that might be perfect.
That said, I understand that would probably be bad from the action economy standpoint, and also I am uncertain if their personalities would mash properly.

Anime Pitch: Miraculous
This...this took me so long. And even then I'm not sure but I needed to put it in. Miraculous is a series that I'm not going to say I'm a huge fan of, but I can say I enjoy watching it. Some aspects I think are fine and awesome, but others I think went a bit overboard. I mean, I like that there is a great deal of casted characters, but some of those are not as developed as I would have hoped for. At the same time I think I may be one of those that feel Chloe could've been redeemed but instead was left and turned into a caricature of a person due to the creator's deep dislike of her.

Then again, I'm not entirely sure where I fall on Marinette, but hey, I think that if you can cut some of her obsession and stalker qualities then she could be an endearing character, instead of the confusion I feel when I see her and think "How am I supposed to cheer for her?".

Overall, I think this could work better as an anime, and I think we have proof of it in the PV episode they released. An anime version of Miraculous (and just that, no need to add any other part of the name) with some changes (which I've added below) could work very well for this time. Not to mention our animation methods can bring in a good level of movement and revolutionary storytelling.

So, I bring you:

Anime Pitch:
Miraculous

GENRE: Adventure/Magical Girl/Comedy

SUBGENRE: Fantasy/Drama

FORMAT: Anime Series

Set Up: The series focuses on two Parisian teenagers, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste, holders of the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous, which are powered by small animal-themed cosmic beings called Kwamis (theirs being named Tikki and Plagg respectively), who transform into the superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir, to protect the city from the "Akumas" led by Hawkmoth, the holder of the Butterfly Miraculous. All the while they have to deal with the drama of adolescence, school, and the friends and politics from it as well.

Animation: Sunrise Studios/DreamWorks
Series Director: Brad Bird
Writer: Sōji Yoshikawa

- Master Fu does not give the Miraculous to Marinette or anyone. The Miraculous work like Green Lantern Rings, with the Kwamis choosing the one worthy of wielding them. History of the Miraculous is different from the show.

- Miraculous wielders may use their powers more than once per day, but it takes energy from them until their Miraculous de-activates.

- Chat Noir's name is changed to Cat Noir.

- Marinette is not obsessed with Adrien, or stalking him. She's a girl with a crush.

- Ladybug no longer has the "Miraculous Ladybug" ability, as it's a bit too OP. To De-Akumatize the victims, they have to be defeated to lower their energy, then destroy the object used by the Miraculous Butterfly.

- Both Miraculous make Ladybug and Cat Noir increase their speed, strength, endurance, etc. However, Ladybug's miraculous makes her stronger and more resilient, while Cat Noir's makes him faster and more agile.

- Some Miraculous are weak/strong against another.

- Though the Akumas/Supporting Characters/Minor Characters may have the name, they won't be the exact same person as OTL show (both physically and in behavior).

- There will be more episodes dealing with the daily life of the characters and their inner issues, as well as them interacting with others and themselves in a way that advances the plot and makes for good character development.

- There will also be episodes when they will deal with regular crimes, kidnappings, etc.

- Though some Akumas may be defeated in one episode, others will take 2 or 3 episodes to defeat in order to show how dangerous they may become. Said Akumas are the ones in the list below..

- De-Akumatized humans will still play a role, either as victims, pariahs, or those who have rejoined society. There will also be those who want to be Akumatized again, and may do so.

- At the beginning, Marinette has a crush on Adrien, while Cat Noir has one on Ladybug. As the series progresses, Adrien will be the one who develops a crush on Marinette, while Ladybug eventually develops one on Cat Noir.

Such is the case when she dragged Marinette to work with her, not understanding her friend did not want to be a journalist, but a Chef.

Seiyuu: Noriko Hidaka
Alternate: Yō Inoue

Luka Couffaine: He's a flirtatious and playful boy, one of the most popular in the Collège Françoise Dupont due to his good looks and athletic personality. Alternate: Yasuo Yamada

Lila Rossi/Volpina: She is an extremely intelligent and observative girl at Collège Françoise Dupont. Simon Grimault/Simon Says: He's a smooth talking and overconfident conman who could think fast, and use his wits wisely, to get people to do what he wanted them to. After his Akumatization and return to normal he began a new scheme; a cult where he exalted Hawkmoth in an attempt to once more regains his former powers. After being noticed he received orders from Hawkmoth, moving behind the scenes to find the identities of Ladybug and Cat Noir, as well as increase their influence over the city.

Seiyuu: Fumihiko Tachiki
Alternate: Hiroshi Ōtake

Nathalie Sancoeur: She is a serious and formal woman who works very diligently as Gabriel Agreste's assistant. She has a cold and distant demeanor as she doesn't openly show her emotions around others most of the time. She knows about Gabriel's secret and goal, aiding him in order to help her friend as well, and hoping to mitigate the damage.

Seiyuu: Mika Doi
Alternate: Saeko Shimazu

Andre Bourgeois: He is Chloe's father and the Mayor of Paris. An affable looking man who always has the best interests of Paris whenever he makes a decision. This obsession for the lives of Paris goes deep, to the point of him making deals with the underground and corrupted officials for the "Greater Good". Seiyuu: Kaneto Shiozawa
Alternate: Ikuya Sawaki
Aurore Beaureal/Stormy Weather: A former Weather Forecaster that was demoted as she was being replaced by a new up and comer. Her rage caused her Akumatization, creating freak weather all over Paris. Seiyuu: Ginzō Matsuo
Alternate: Naoki Tatsuta

Roger Raincomprix/Rogercop: A police officer with a belief in justice above all. After an altercation with Chloe he is demoted, the anger of which causes his akumatization, becoming a near vigilante going after any and all types of crime, from the most heinous to the most trivial. After his akumatization he would have been fired, had it not been for an express order from the mayor that he is to be kept as an officer. He works every day to regains the trust of his fellow officers...though he's been put in bureaucratic work for now.

Seiyuu: Akira Kamiya
Alternate: Hiroya Ishimaru

Theo Barbot/Copycat: A massive fan of Cat noir, he's akumatized to have the power to mimic him so perfectly that no one can tell the difference. After being revealed he feels ashamed of his actions, and is thankful to both heroes that they will not tell anyone about who did it.

Seiyuu: Mayumi Tanaka
Alternate: Masaharu Maeda

Armand D'Argencourt/Darkblade: A fencing champion, whose arrogance is broken when he loses a duel for the first time. The feeling allowed Hawkmoth to Akumatize him, leading to him looking for any and all fighters to fight and defeat, eventually setting his sight in both Cat noir and Ladybug. His eventual defeat and turning back to normal gives him enough humility to admit his crimes and be jailed, feeling he must make amends for his actions.

Seiyuu: Makio Inoue
Alternate: Gorō Naya

Nathaniel Kurtzberg/The Evilustrator: He's an artist that managed to claw his way to the top thanks to a full knowledge of how people tick, and using it to manipulate them, or show them what they want to see in his paintings. Juleka Couffaine: Sister of Luka Couffaine, she's shy girl with low self-esteem. She prefers not to make a fuss or even be with strangers if possible. Her disposition changes a bit when she joins the School Journal under Alya after Marinette quits.

Rose Lavillant: Member of the Cooking club, she and Marinette become fast friends as they share the same passion for cooking. An optimistic girl who aids Marinette through most of her issues.

A.N.: Finally...it took forever. You might notice I did not add all the Akuma's, and that's mainly because did not think that many of them would fit for the series. Not to mention that since this was season 1, and I wanted to have them be more of a serious threat, then the ones selected should take more than one episode to defeat.

I don't want us to try for Dune until 1981. most of my casting options won't be available until then, and I think we can all agree that having Keanu Reeves as Paul Atreides is worth the wait.

Okay so let's take the time to go through this:

- Francis Ford Coppola: Between the directors, he's the most... controlling, unknowing, and honestly, he's kind of arrogant. But there is one thing that you know. He can make a damn fine film. The problem is, he's not interested in making a quantity of films. He was an art man. You don't care about that too much, but you are running a business. And you do need to make money.
- Dune (Part 1): (First part of the Dune book, you envision Francis Ford Coppola to direct this one, and he seems to be willing to take on the challenge)

Francis with Dune because that was the whole aim of getting him. Can definitely do the film justice and he's willing. Will produce himself. For budget let's do 40-80 million.

Though then again it seems Overmind doesn't want us to do it right now, in which case I'm unsure on whether or not to have Coppola produce 3 films or be a director because I don't know of any other movie that would greatly suit him.

Martin Scorsese: Martin is easily the greatest artist of the Group of Directors, and that is everyone's opinion, even your own. He wants to make thought-provoking films that are interesting, for everyone. He's a sucker for the Urban dramas that have been made, but he also isn't afraid to tackle new challenges, from epics to biopics… to even something as simple as an adventure story. As long as it strikes a resonating chord with him, he will get it done. Though he also has struggles going over time, all of those things were not his fault, and a result of studio interference. The problem is… well, he wants to do his own thing sometimes… and that thing might not even be created yet. And he doesn't want to make popcorn films like other directors do in their spare time. Even if he might have to.
The Emerald Pimpernel: (It may be the Irish in you but you can't wait to see this being made, not to mention that it has an enemy that everyone can rally against).

Just like with Solomon Kane, Emerald Pimpernel is a movie that really vibes with Martin's bread and butter. It's a historical film, it's about Catholicism in one of its darkest times, and the protagonist is Irish. Easy fit for him, would be fine giving it to either Mike or Francis to produce. Budget would probably be $20-40 million.

Steven Spielberg: Steve is really an imaginative storyteller, someone who loves doing adventures that harken back to his youth. While currently, he has the ambition to prove his critics wrong, because they think he cannot do anything without a gimmick. He's best used for Adventure stories, ones that are more akin to the serials that he grew up on. For now at least. He's young, just like you. But he wants to do other things that make him artistically fulfilled. He has proved that he can stay on target with Conan, despite crazy crap going on.
- Marathon Madness (A Screwball Comedy for the Ages. Steve could absolutely do it just to fill out the roster while he works with George on his special project)

This is one that Steve wants to do and we should probably give him an easy one because the dude is about to have a stacked schedule with E.T, Indiana Jones and Return of the Jedi. Bruce should produce it since he wrote the movie. Budget of $5-10 million. Although considering we are an Olympian, I would be cool with anyone wanting Bruce to direct it.

Brian De Palma: Brian is the odd one out. He likes directing, has a strong directing talent and he's great for budget and other things. But he has a problem that, in his opinion could be a problem. He's not the best at working with original screenplays, preferring to adapt novels, stories or even outright remaking others than trying his best to make his own. He said that he strongly believes that if he has a framework, he can make it better because he can contort the story to the cinema. And well, he's the only one who hasn't really gone over budget or schedule. Yet he hasn't really worked on huge projects before, so it would be a change for them.
- Across America in 90 Days: (A comedy that is all the better for being true)
- Undercover: (Biopic of Elizabeth Cochran, the real-life Lois Lane. A story deserving to be told).
- The Dark Forest: (The story inverts the role of humanity and aliens by making the latter the hunted

Brian probably has the most versatility of anyone on this list. Across America and Undercover both fit his need to make stories off of existing fictional works or historical pieces, and Dark Forest is a psychological thriller which is a genre he does great in. So wondering what people's thoughts for Brian are.

- Paul Schrader: Paul is one of the great writers of The Writers Room, who has a great track record of making good movies. As a writer. As a Director, he's not unproven, but not the most... Creme de la creme, as much of the studio is known for. Honestly, his output is really focused on solitary, art pieces, that are not going to make money. Though it has also led to his reputation as being... creative, but untalented. But you don't believe that is right.
- Devil's Hour: Dead Man's Gold (Actually, Paul wants to try to make this film, wanting to redeem himself with good money making, just so he can get to make more art.)

Paul definitely deserves his redemption spot and this seems like something great for him. @Duke William of @King crimson You guys both made this so what's your call? I remember Duke wanted Bruce to play one of the leads but if we chose to make it this year that is unlikely to happen because of our Empire commitments. If not this year then maybe Paul can do Slenderman or Dark Forest. Budget for Devil's Hour would probably be 15-35 million. Mike, Alan or Francis can produce it.

Now as regards to Dreamworks, I think it would be better for us to work on a movie. Really help to establish our movie division, let Sunrise adjust to their incorporation into Lucasfilms and have them do some nice stuff on their own and build trust so they can retain their identity instead of just being the Gundam studio. Also help with our ambition and not let Disney dominate the box office with movies.

I'm partial too all of the films save for Atlantis which is too ambitious and Tarzan which can wait. Now to go over them in order:
- The Great Mouse Detective: Basil of Baker Street: (John and Ron said they want to do it, mostly because they are huge fans of Sherlock Holmes).

John and Ron have been eager to do this, we got a promise to keep to our niece Sarah, and Lucasfilms needs more family films and this will be something nice for Mary.

- The Legend of Sinbad: (One of the most amazing stories that deserve more love, and hopefully more adventures in the future).

John and Ron work here as well. Give Sinbad some proper love.

- John Henry: Man of Steel: (An American folklore tale with one of its most underrated heroes.)

Give this one to Brad Bird to build on his bonus with original movies. Decent family film and a nice point of pride for the Black community.

- War for the Crystal: (An amazing original fantasy adventure that could rival Lewis' travels to Narnia if you're creative enough)

Once again could go to Brad Bird for being original, awesome and epic, though I really want to give Ishiguro something and maybe he can do wonders in the worldbuilding.

Alright, seeing as we have little to no producers at the moment, then our number of Producers limit the movies we can make. Francis Ford Coppola can produce 3 movies if he's not directing any. Mike is producing Empire, so he can produce another one. George and us can't do that since we're with Mike in Empire. This means that at most, we can Produce 4 movies at the moment for Live action.

Alright then. Here are my suggestions:

Live Action (4):

- Undercover: the biopic of the real life Lois Lane would be a great challenge for Martin who can do biopics like no one else. I think this is something he can do. (Martin Scorsese)

- The Playground: This is our coming of age story, which I thin Paul Schraffer could do since that is his bread and butter. Besides, I think this one could be a win for him with the right casting. (Paul Schraffer)

- Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time: I just want to make this movie already. And since Steven Spielberg is available then I don't see why not. (Steven Spielberg)

- Small Giant: The tale of Robert Smalls must be told! (Brian de Palma)

For animation, we should have Sunrise and DreamWorks, so 2:

Animation (2):

- The Great Mouse Detective: John and Ron can work wonder here.

- John Henry: Man of Steel: Let's give Brad a chance and see what he can make of himself.

So, what do you think?

Edit: Huh. @Kaiser Chris , I had completely forgotten that The Emerald Pimpernel would fit Scorsese perfectly. Yeah, I think we can go with that. Perhaps remove one of the films I put for animation as well so that Sunrise can do its own thing. So long as we don't go for Gundam right out of the gate.

The Alan Ada bonus lets Bruce be a producer on multiple movies without malus so long as they're set within the same country. Since all non-Hoth scenes are going to be in the Lucasfilms lot, that means we can be a producer to anyone working in America.

Also I don't want to do Playground because I want Bruce to be the one to Direct that and I want it to be a fun film with his friends and family since most of the cast is our friends and Carrie is the star so let's save that for next year or two.

Don't want to risk Prince of Persia right now with the Iranian Revolution, genuine chance it might flop thanks to the hostage crisis.

Thanks for reminding me of Small Giant, down for Brian doing that. Also both of your choices are good.

@Magoose Can Dreamworks only do one movie or can they do two movies with Sunrise's help?

Hmmm, alright then.

Fair enough. I guess we can do The Playground after Empire then.
Don't want to risk Prince of Persia right now with the Iranian Revolution, genuine chance it might flop thanks to the hostage crisis.
Might be for the best. I mean, we could have been dragged on for the rescue of the hostages like Argo.
Thanks for reminding me of Small Giant, down for Brian doing that. Also both of your choices are good.
Thanks! So, Small Giant for Brian, Emerald Pimpernel for Scorsese, and Spielberg for Marathon Madness. May I suggest The Bros for Schrader?
@Magoose Can Dreamworks only do one movie or can they do two movies with Sunrise's help?
Well, with Sunrise they could do 2 movies, but I would like to know if that is without taking away from their previous commitments with the other japanese studios, and their own projects.

Also, they will be doing a Cyborg 009 anime this year. I fucking love Cyborg 009! We should import and distribute it!

Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug: On the outside she seems like a sweet, outgoing, and joyful girl, but in reality she is a very nervous girl with confidence issues, that tries to ne as helpful as possible to please everyone around. She has a crush on Adrien, though he does not return her feelings, and is able to do quick research and investigation due to the many notes she takes to not forget anything. She becomes the wielder of the Ladybug Miraculous when, despite refusing at first, she finds no one else that can take it.

Seiyuu: Yūko Mita
Alternate: Makoto Kōsaka

Tikki: The "Kwami of Creation", a small brilliant crimson creature that is 10 centimeters (or 4 inches) tall. She proves this by encouraging Marinette to accept she had been chosen when she at first had thought there had been a mistake. She openly gives wisdom and advice, as well as being very observant and quick witted when the situation calls for it.

Seiyuu: Hiromi Tsuru
Alternate: Masako Katsuki

Adrien Agreste/Cat Noir: Adrien is a cold and somewhat cynical character, while also being somewhat shy and reserved. His life's been regimented by his father ever since his mother's death. He's closed himself to others due to bad experiences with people who wanted to use him due to his connections, looking at offers of friendship with suspicion. He takes the chance to become Cat Noir in order to be free from his life, but does not care to become a hero at first, changing his mind eventually.

Alternate: Tōru Furuya

Plagg: The "Kwami of Destruction", a small 10 centimeter (or 4 inch) tall dark creature resembling a cat. Plagg can be described as being carefree and easygoing, yet also negligent, overindulgent, lazy, and sour. He isn't very helpful and doesn't take situations quite as seriously as he should. However, at his core, he still has a serious disposition when it comes to fighting evil, being the first to criticize Adrien when he refuses to help in his first outing.

Seiyuu: Masako Nozawa

Seiyuu: Hirotaka Suzuoki
Alternate: Motomu Kiyokawa
Chloe Bourgeois: She is the daughter of the Mayor of Paris, as well as Adrien's childhood friend, the one person she trusts and Vice-Versa. She dislikes Marinette more than anyone due to how easy it is for her to be liked by everyone, something Chloe's never been able to achieve.

Seiyuu: Minori Matsushima
Alternate: Kazue Ikura

Alya Cesaire: A student and head of the School Journal. A clever and passionate girl, she always goes for what she wants with all her strength. Alya, however, doesn't like being undermined or doubted by others, especially when it comes to her work. If someone points out something wrong to her, she is too stubborn to admit they are right.

He however has a skewed perspective on truth, both demanding truth from everyone around, yet having no scruples about lying when it suits his purposes. The one person who he always told the truth is his sister, whom he always makes sure to protect. He's usually seen with Lila Rossi, though many are not sure what their relationship actually is.

Seiyuu: Keaton Yamada
Alternate: Yasuo Yamada

Lila Rossi/Volpina: She is an extremely intelligent and observative girl at Collège Françoise Dupont. A classmate of Marinette and Chloe, she is very proud and loves attention, which she is willing to obtain with her pathological lying. Lila can notice the most subtle details and make use of them in her rumormongering campaigns, all the while keeping herself above suspicion while increasing her popularity. Though once Akumatized and turned back to normal, she was able to contact the "Akuma Cult" to become one of their spies in exchange to getting the power back.

Seiyuu: Eiko Masuyama
Alternate: Kazue Komiya

She has a soft spot for Adrien, having known him since he was a baby, as well as being his mother's best friend before her passing.

He dislikes Ladybug and Cat Noir as he sees them as disruptive elements to the order he's managed to implement in his city, in the end even willing to take the fight to them.

After her recovery she tries to pick up the pieces of her life, which is difficult after all the destruction she caused. Despite it all, she does manage to resist the call of the "Cult of Hawkmoth" and make something of her life.

Seiyuu: Yuri Amano
Alternate: Chika Sakamoto

Jean Duparc/Magician of Fortune: An old former magician who wished to relieve his glory days. Though his old-time tricks were enhanced to create panic in the city, he was one of the few who were able to go back to his life without much change afterwards, having the support of his family to keep him out of sight until he was forgotten.

Seiyuu: Tatsuyuki Jinnai
Alternate: Ichirō Nagai

Xavier Ramier/Mr. Pigeon: A man who loves pigeons, and is angered when he sees children harassing them. When he's akumatized he manages to gain control of all the Pigeons in Paris, leading them as a flock over the entire city to attack and harass the people, the same way they were. After his defeat he opens a sanctuary for the Pigeons, taking care of them.

Seiyuu: Ryūsuke Ōbayashi
Alternate: Ken'ichi Ogata

Fred Haprele/The Mime: An energetic young man, a juvenile delinquent who was caught by the police and akumatized into the opposite of what he usually acted. With The Mime's powers he created an area of silence that caused chaos as no one could understand each other nor hear danger. He had to be sent to therapy afterwards, being scared of not hearing any noise at all.

Seiyuu: Michihiro Ikemizu
Alternate: Kiyoshi Kobayashi

Wang Cheng/Kung Food: Marinette's uncle, and a renowned Chef who, thanks to the machinations of the "Cult of Hawkmoth", is akumatized into Kung Food. A Kung Fu Master/Chef who can make any food and turn those who eat it into his disciples, who id him in taking over the city little by little. Thanks to no one being able to find his identity, he is one of the few who were able to return to civilian life without any repercussions.

He commits a wave of crimes that are blamed on him, and even Ladybug comes to believe it.

When he's akumatized he uses his powers, and intelligence, to drive a wedge between Cat Noir and Ladybug, noticing the tension between them. After he's back to normal, he tries to turn the blame fully on them, in order to keep his life without anyone noticing.

Seiyuu: Chikao Ohtsuka
Alternate: Tochihiko Seki

Ivan Bruel/Stoneheart: A Mafia boss, he's been struck one time too many by the heroes of Paris, and with his new ability to create stone golems he can finally regains all that he's lost so far. His final battle against them is what makes it possible for the two to reconcile, being sent to prison for his crimes.

Seiyuu: Isamu Tanonaka
Alternate: Yasuyoshi Hara
Nino Lahiffe: One of the students at school who is often bullied by others. Adrien takes him under his wing, mostly because he needed help with studying, with a friendship developing over time.

Sabrina Raincomprix: Chloe's "friend" and assistant. She looks out for Chloe and ids her whenever she needs to. She really looks up to her ever since Chloe helped her father with an issue that could've gotten him fired a long time ago.

I love this! This idea totally has my vote for DreamWorks next anime work. Also you make me wish miraculous was like this in real life instead of mess it turned into.

Eh I'm going to slow down that stuff.
More like the more crazy rolls.
Oh and one more thing:

George, you just invented the Phantom Camera. in 1979! While also doing something else entirely...

Oh Action movies will never be the same now!

Also, go on you George for finally getting through to Marcia and understanding each other better.
Dammit, dude you almost managed to keep your good intentions for a whole hour :V...

Seriously, don´t take this the wrong way @Magoose, but you always tend to escalate your Quests to over-the-top levels of everything... And while I love a lot of your quest for that exact same reason, this is a quest that would benefit from being at least somehow grounded, because it takes place on an alternate timeline that is supposed to be realistic...
All I'm going to say is this:

I do the same merch rolls out of 10 billion every time.

I have always done that with the merch rolls for every franchise that warrants it.
I promise you that what is bugging me about Columbia's getting 5 billion dollars from DC sales is not the fact that a rival got them, but the absolutely bonkers fact that they were even capable of earning that amount, because rolling the 1d10000000 for each franchise suitable for comic/merchandising sales in the 70s-80s is ridiculous... To put it into perspective the total sales of all American Comic Books in 2022 were around 2 billion dollars, and IIRC on 2018, one of its best years ever, the Superman Franchise got in sales per year $2.5 billion (including comics, merchandising, TVseries, Cartoons, videogames...), and the prices of comics and merchandising are around 6-8 times more expensive now than in the 80s (which is significantly higher than regular inflation adjustment) ...

And while this merchandising thingy will eventually make Lucasfilms the Top Dog in the industry by default (because of our Japanese contacts, and the inexhaustible source of marketable merchandising that is anime), if we keep going like this the world economy in the 2000s will become something similar to Yu Gi Oh! World, in which the leading Industry of the world is a Children's Trading Card game (with some more variety on the products, but still)...

"I play Spider-Man in defense mode and end my turn."

"You absolute fool! You've fallen directly into my trap! By sacrificing my Hobgoblin and Chameleon cards, I can direct summon Green Goblin directly from my deck and have him attack your Spider-Gwen card!"

@Magoose Can Dreamworks only do one movie or can they do two movies with Sunrise's help?
Sunrise must help them to make another film.
Anime Pitch:
Miraculous
As I have quite literally done several quests with Miraculous mostly to get my deep disdain for the creators for being utterly out of touch with what their fans want, as well as, in my opinion, several story telling decisions that really grind my gears. I love this.

In saying that, Chloe deserves a redemption arc and a friend.

I will say this: The Series can now be created by Sunrise.

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.

You know I roll the dice (Or have others roll for me)..... and things happen, and damn the consequences sometimes!

You just reminded me of this. I've never watched this show but I remember seeing this video years ago and thought it relevant.

View: https://youtu.be/OfygCFC6cdk?si=h6KWoFWDK9pagWoL

That's basically what inspired me to make it an anime instead of what they went for OTL.

Awesome! This would be something amazing to show at this moment in Japan, as it would be another collaboration between both American and Japanese styles and animators, not to mention taking on the genre of Magical Girls before it became truly popular and adding to it.

So, who would be credited for creating it, Sunrise or DreamWorks?

[X] Plan Low Key

-[X] Marathon Madness

I've kept Steve for Marathon Madness and Martin for Undercover. I think that with the success of Superman we may be able to tap into the fans if we promote the movie as the story of the real life Lois Lane. I've changed Brian's film to Small Giant and Paul's film to The Bros, adjusting the budgets appropriately.

For Sunrise, I don't think we should do Gundam yet. As Tomino said, there's chances fro more merchandise, movies, OVA's before we go for the sequel (Heck, in OTL they didn't go for it until 1986) so there's little need to saturate the market at the moment. I've changed it with Miraculous as Magoose did say that we can go with it, and gave it a 10 Million budget, but I'm clueless when it comes to budgets for Anime! So please, if anyone has a better idea of how much I should add please let me know.

Now, I do think we should do the John Henry movie, but there's no need to have Francis produce it as it would be DreamWorks doing it, so we can have the other Producing slot for Steve's film.

So, what do you think?

Paul definitely deserves his redemption spot and this seems like something great for him. @Duke William of @King crimson You guys both made this so what's your call? I remember Duke wanted Bruce to play one of the leads but if we chose to make it this year that is unlikely to happen because of our Empire commitments. If not this year then maybe Paul can do Slenderman or Dark Forest. Budget for Devil's Hour would probably be 15-35 million. Mike, Alan or Francis can produce it.
While I do want Bruce to play Donovan MacCool, I wouldn't be too upset if he can't join it. I'd say wait just a little, but I'm fine either way. Also, Crimson says that it doesn't matter too much in their opinion. :)

For casting(and for the ones writing the sidestory), I have some ideas:

For the doctor detective Jack Seward, I have either Jonathan Pryce or Timothy Dalton as candidates for the doctor detective.

For his loyal companion Donovan MacCool, I have Bruce O'Brian or, failing that, either Daniel Day-Lewis, Colm Meaney, or Liam Neeson to play the role.

For the Leprechaun Scions, I have Kevin McNally as Graudy Pernell, John Rhys-Davies as Liam Deugall, Gary Burghoff as Niall O'Riely, John Kavanagh as Malocolm Crawkins, and Eilish O'Carroll as Millicent Deugall.

For the conniving Melodia, I want either Candy Clark or Loretta Swit to play the role.

For the more minor roles, I want Noel Purcell as the Speaker of the Leprechaun Parliament and James Earl Jones as the Pooka that Jack confronts.

If Bruce isn't a big part of Devil's Hour, I do want him to cameo as the troll Eric that makes small talk with Donovan while he and Jack wait for Melodia to arrive.

For those who want a refresher on Devil's Hour: Dead Man's Gold and what it's about, here's the link.

[X] Plan Low Key

I'm good with this plan, and it also allows for Bruce to potentially play Donovan later on. :D

Bruce playing Donavan?

a villain?

I mean, Bruce isn't old enough to play donavan in indiana Jones.

ten million dollars on an Anime?

That would make it the most expensive anime of all time at this time.
