Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

Mike is gonna love us, and if he was loyal before, now it will be on lock, he wanted 5 mil, we are giving him 12, sure 2% ownership is less then the 5% he wanted, but the 7 mil more will make up for it

Say should we give a pay rise to the Lucasfilms Marketing Division? in the bio its says they are group of overworked and underpaid people, so giving a pay rise would be good, and maybe hire person or 2 to help them to take some of the workload

And Thus, Things Go Well For Lucasfilm Turn 46 (June 1976)
And Thus, Things Go Well For Lucasfilm

You looked at George and grabbed him off his chair. "We need to talk outside." You said as you pulled him away. "We'll be back in a sec."

George was clearly not happy about that, as he adjusted his glasses and tried his best to keep them on as you dragged him outside and shut the door. "We can't just do that. He's asking for far too much." George stated as you both talked quietly.

"Well that's the problem George, a man of his talents isn't just going to come waltzing in, and I nor you will ever have the time with trying to explain how important that is George, because by the time I do, Mike will have either quit or taken another offer."

"He wants ownership of our company." George pleaded. "We can't just-"

"Geroge, he's not going to own anything more than What Marcia would own. He only will have enough to not get fired by us arbitrarily."

George still didn't get it as his face morphed. "I don't trust him owning a piece of what we have."

"That's the things that should make us different. We give someone who has been good to us what they want and more, so when the times get bad, they may be willing to help."

"You think times are going to get worse?" He asked.

"I'm not going to allow it to get worse by being afraid that we are going get screwed over by someone who has done nothing but trust us and worked with us." You stated. "So have faith that he isn't willing to screw us over, and just accept that we can give up a portion."

"I understand he wants a lot George, but a lot of our success is because of him; because of that I want to right by him, so I'll take the brunt of the costs from my personal shares if need be."

George finally relented. "Okay. But what about everything else?"

You smiled. "Don't worry. I have a good idea."

You both walked back in and you saw Mike was still sitting in his chair, and you knew he was just there. "Alright, what was so-"

You stopped him by raising a hand. "Well first off Mike, we have come to you with a counteroffer, one that you may find satisfactory."

He raised an eyebrow. "Shoot."

"Your salary will be 12 million dollars, Yearly." You started, one look from George knew he was fully supportive of that. "And we will allow two producer credits on any film we produce starting next year. No questions asked."

There was a pause, and you realized that Mike was surprised by such a grand offer on display. "And the ownership?"

"2%. Nothing more, nothing less." You replied. "However, a clause and stipulation that we will put in, is that we get right of first refusal if you ever want to sell it."

Mike nodded. He then looked to George. Then you. "Well, I can't say I'm not surprised. You boys put a lot of thought into this."

"More me than Geroge, but he's always been good at other things."

The Offer: D100 => 22 vs 20

Mike then laughed. "I should have asked for a cut of the merchendising."

"Don't push your luck, Mike. George is very protective of that." You replied.

"I accept." He replied without hesitation. "We're going to get Legal to work on this, or will this be informal?"

"I think we all know you'll want it in writing." George replied.

"Good man."

AN: Plan format please.

Hot damn, those are some fantastic scripts. Let's corner the market on bright happy science fiction AND on gritty dark science fiction at the same time! Also, we totally have the muscles and build to be Conan.

We should see if we can get Elvis to be in one of our movies. That'd be cool. Also, we're gonna bury the competition with these scripts!

[]Holding the Flag: You have been asked by Team USA to be the Flag Bearer. It would be foolish to refuse… right? DC: 0

[]The Olympics: You are going to go to the Olympics and represent the USA to the World. DC: 0

[]Olympic Training: It's time to get serious about training to win a gold. You really need to back up your documentary that made everyone else out to be winners. DC: ???
Well, these 3 actions are essential, and I would also add Pray and to Calling Your Parents to the mix since they synergize pretty well with the whole Olympics stuff.

The Writers Room has given you a few Scripts.

Paul Schrader: D2 => 1

Paul Schrader has written a Script from IRL!

Hardcore!

Script Quality:D100 + 90 => 169

I'm confused what did Paul Schrader write? Also do we need to do Olympic training considering this is the turn we are going to the Olympics.

Overall looks like a very solid stuff for Lucasfilms. Writer's room really proved themselves and we're going to keep Mike for at least the rest of the decade and do great things.

Oh I forgot to link the movie, but due to timeline shenanigans, he wrote this film:

A little bit later than IRL.

try 1983. He didn't sign on for as long as we wanted, just as long as he wanted.

Actually, that is something that will happen next turn. Elvis has an idea he wants to do.

Its a real one BTW

Pretty self explanatory, with the only indulgence being our learning how to sing [given that there's an autopass involved].

Awesome! My Prince of Persia franchise is tugging along just fine! Now, I only need to work on the third film of the franchise, and the second Solomon Kane adventure, and a pitch for Atlantis the lost empire, and...

Oh boy, I better get started.

In the meantime, I think the Olympics options need to be taken, I want us to also hang around with George for a while, and I'm not sure if we need to take the distribution option for Zatoichi, or if it will be a free one due to what happened last turn.

By the way, who's David?
