    TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

    To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

    I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

    I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

    I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

    • Honestly I don't mind us releasing the Genesis instead of the Saturn as having 3D graphics, even the Saturn is a bit OP and would absolutely crush Nintendo, while it might hurt the development of some of our future games like Sonic.

    Also, would people have in mind to have Sega be the name of our division that covers consoles, thus our first console is the Sega Genesis? Playstation is cool, but Genesis is probably the best first console name and it kind of fits with Bruce whole devout thing.

    @Magoose If we release the console this turn, does this mean that every single video game pitch we've done that's been stated to be for consoles will come with the release? Because officially we only dedicated an action to Rescue on Fractalus.

    Will George O'Brian be fine on this vacation?

    Also has Dragon's Lair and Space Ace been made yet? I think Don would have had plenty of time to work on it before his current films.

    So first off we begin production on Conan and make a great sequel.

    We deal with video game stuff by releasing Final Fantasy and the new console. As stated above, I think Sega Genesis is a great name, Sega for our hardware subdivision, Genesis because it's the first one. Open to other ideas like Playstation but this is well. Deal with Nintendo. And for the new projects, I want to do Space Paranoids since I think that's the only video game we have that's an Arcade pitch, and it'll be some nice further development for Tron. Shinobi because it's a legendary arcade series and we have the tech to do so. Finally since the reward let us do 3 games, Super Monaco GP. One of Sega's best Arcade games and a nice racing game, also furthers ties with Monaco. If Dragon's Lair hasn't been made yet, I will chose that.

    Deal with Hollywood stuff with Disney and also see what sort of rules George has for Star Wars.

    For personal time, spending it with the kids, some nice family time before we go, hanging out with friends.

    Also lastly, learn Italian since we're gonna be filming in Italy. Should be relatively easy since we know French and Spanish already.

    I don't mind the plan, but I do contest that Space Paranoids is the only Arcade Pitch we have; Mr. Goemon, Ice Climbers, Bomberman, Nidhogg, Dragon's Lair and even Sugar Rush among others are also Arcade Games.

    By the way, do we know how long will it take for us to select new games to work in?

    @Kaiser Chris , there is no pitch we've made for Shinobi nor for Monaco GP, I don't think we can do those if we have no pitch. nor are we in the year they were made either.
     
    If we aren't able to do Shinobi and Monaco GP, I'd like to suggest that one of them be Undertale to take advantage of the film's release. I imagine that by the time we have another turn to choose new games for LucasArts, the film will have already released.

    I assumed we could make any Sega or LucasArts game that was made historically which both Shinobi and Monaco GP are for Sega. Otherwise the already crouded Apocrypha would have hundreds of video game pitches. For reference, look at how we just released Flashdance but no one made a pitch for it.

    I guess if such isn't allowed, I'll select Tetris and Nidhogg, although Dragon's Lair will replace Nidhogg if it hasn't been developed yet, though the OTL game was released in June 19, 1983.

    IIRC, I already asked Magoose a while back if Dragon's Lair was being produced separately from us voting for it, and I'm pretty sure he said yes. Let me double-check to see if I can find that post.

    Edit: I think I'm mixing it up with when I asked him about the films. The only thing I can find is Magoose giving the reward for Kaiser's Dragon's Lair and Space Ace pitch to be that Bluth can produce it "next year."

    Niggle for me

    I do not like the optics of the Sega part of the Genesis name. To me it feels like an outlier to the brand. I would like something that links the Machine back to Lucasarts and reflect the internal development.

    Something Like "Genesis Droid" referencing the Star wars robots, and the ANH opening scene of R2 accepting a data disk would be better. Link the marketing back to R2, ride the wave of star wars manaia, and have the console be someting liked back to the core buisnss.

    Failing that Just call it the Genisis or even the Lucasarts Genisis

    Fine, I changed the name of the console to the LucasArts Genesis. My headcanon was that with our incorporation of Sega, that Sega would be the name of the company dedicated to hardware development and as such it would be attached to all of our consoles while LucasArts is the software developers. After all, these are the Sega Arcades that we are sponsoring. But I can understand otherwise, just a shame as I was really hoping we could eventually have Segatan Sanshiro as a mascot and have his commercials air in the US.

    I also decided to switch the games to Tetris and Nidhogg. Still keeping in Space Paranoids.

    Eh, I like the distinction between Sega developing our hardware and LucasArts focusing on our games and software and I think "LucasArts Genesis" just straight up sounds worse and more clunky than "Sega Genesis," but I suppose it's not that huge a deal in the end.

    I would personally go back for Sega Genesis, The Sega brand is much more recognizable in the videogame world, and "Sega Genesis" rolls out of the tongue more easily...

    That's cool. Personally, I don't think we need to put in "LucasArts" in the console, calling it the Genesis is good enough, and it rolls of the tongue better than adding the name of the company at that.

    I hate to agree, but he's right there. "Sega Genesis" does roll of the tongue better than "LucasArts Genesis". The again, we could also call it only the "Genesis", but I don't know if we need to put in the company name in it.

    Sega being the company dedicated to hardware sounds good as well.

    Segatan Sanshiro as i understand it is Play Sega Saturn.

    I like the idea of uing him. He seems fun. Then my head went to making the Segatan family where each new person advocated for a new sega console like Top gears Stigs insert blank cousin.

    Hmmm, the Sega Playstation does sound good for a future console after the Genesis, and we keep Segata Sanshiro for future commercials as well.

    Yeah, the Sega Genesis sounds like a good idea in the end.

    I wish I could, oh how I wish I could...

    *Ahem* the point is, I think we can go with Playstation as the next console, and just continue adding numbers like OTL. Though I would prefer using Roman Numerals (I.E. Sega Playstation II, Sega Playstation III, Sega Playstation IV, etc., etc.)
