I'm in two minds about that whole roll result.

I mean, on the plus, reinventing the Genki Dama, and then immediately using it to go Spirit Saiyan and somehow remaining sane when it sent Holy Goku himself berserk when he used it is quite the reputation maker. (Guaranteeing control of Spirit Saiyan forevermore is nice and all, but it's not exactly a technique you can throw out during a spar or training)

On the other if she had just gone berserk the dragon would be dead and this whole mess would be dealt with without all these complicated plans doomed to failure. Gods it would be so much simpler.
It would be simpler, but I think almost all of us want to try and find a way to not have to kill the dragon.

And having perfect control of Spirit Saiyan is huge. I suspect we'll have no shortage of volunteers if we say we want to train it on a smaller scale.

That hardly seems fair. We never got to take advantage of it.
We had our chance, buddy. Same as Jaffur.

...actually, maybe I should reconsider. I know that this is representative of an outright minority opinion.

Not a binding vote, folks, but a quick spot check: should I adopt the, "vote for all that apply, and Kakara decides in what order she should act," approach for this one?
Yes please.

To be fair, in Naruto Jinchuriki have been seen to be manipulated sealed etc. without the usage of sacrificial magic. Still, I definitely think that it is very difficult to speculate on this. For all we know, the only way that it would be stable is with the energy of a powerful ki user. The level of speculation going on seems unwarranted. There is a reasonable case for this being idiotically dangerous, but scenarios also exist where it is worth the risk.
See, the core argument on the 'anti' side of the line is that if something might idiotically dangerous at first glance, and there aren't excellent, very specific and fact-based reasons to reject the "this is idiotically dangerous" assessment... It's better to avoid the risk in question.

We dropped the saiyan facing stewardship action this year didn't we? If we had to pick that or human-facing I'd rather the former.
I think next year, looking forward, yes. It is fairly important for us to be tuned into saiyan politics, because after we defeat the alien army the next Big Thing on our agenda is, or appears to be, the Sealing. Apra and Yammar have been laying political groundwork for our effort to un-Seal Jaffur, and we've been preparing it, but getting our own face out there among the Gokun saiyans is going to be important, especially since we'll be going against our father's wishes in the matter.

So we ignore the humans after we asked them for their energy?
So we ignore the saiyans after we asked them for their energy? I mean, as a time to make our debut as an active political figure within saiyan society, we couldn't have picked a better time.

EDIT: We also might want to spend an action writing down as much advice about the spirit bomb we can give without jeapordising the ability to make the final step for yourself. Right now we're a single point of failure with it, and if we get KO'd or killed it's game over. It would also be an immensely popular move (if that even has any effect at this point) and it's not a politically dangerous technique - if a rebel has enough support to pull it off, the SSJs in charge have become complete monsters. Given how the text will involve talking about interconnectedness (and is likely to be taken as a holy book by the Cult) we can probably slip in a few things about our views on violence etc. too.
This is not a bad idea but we miiiight want to place this as a lower priority than "break the Seal."

Among other things, Jaffur is likely to go (even more) stir crazy in there if we keep him waiting indefinitely without a clear reason.

Yeah as much as we'd like to take it as easy as possible next year, that's gonna be difficult. After the Spirit Bomb we're gonna need to take the both the Saiyan and Human facing stewardship actions, we will need to explain ourselves to both sides here. Berra is probably going to be running interference for us as much as he can, and people are going to be distracted preping for the invasion, so there will be some relief.

Also I see Kakara as leveraging the idea she talked about when gathering energy, the "Together we are strong" sentiment, to try and push for peace with Aramaians and Tastreyan, and lay the groundwork for a possible peaceful solution with Tamar's people. We know from the scouts that they are refugee's not a proper invading army, and there are large swaths of land that no one uses. Its a long shot, but better to try and fail I think.
I like this.

Also....school....holy HIFL but, I have NO idea what Karen's school situation is going to be now, I've never gone to school with Saint Princess God-killer She Who is Going to Lead our Armies against the Invaders, so I've got no frame of reference but aside from the MIsfits who already know us the rest of the school has got to be some level of weirded out.
Possible noncanon note: The closest to an unaffected teacher is her science teacher, Mr. Carpenter, who fully intends to keep on throwing increasingly math-intensive individualized project assignments at her in hopes of actually challenging her.

Because being Saint Princess God-Killer doesn't mean you shouldn't be expected to use that calculus you apparently somehow knew before anyone even thought to try testing you on it. Even if the assignments required to make that happen are ridiculously beyond grade level.

Isn't it? Combine Genki Dama with Multiform to create Perfect Multiform, maybe?

It would be simpler, but I think almost all of us want to try and find a way to not have to kill the dragon.

Sure, I'd prefer it if it could be avoided, it's just that I, and a couple others, don't see a realistic way of avoiding it, and attempting to do so backfiring horribly.

I was referring to the fact that going:

"People of Garenhuld! Send me your energy!...For reasons!

I need to defeat the greatest enemy! Boredom!

I want to train and Spirit Bomb is next on my schedule!

So hurry up with that energy!"

isn't likely to work all that well :p

Oh, I figured that you could specifically only ask certain people with Genki Dama?

Or, like... well, I believe it was mentioned at some point that it was theoretically possible to have an internal Ki "battery" with a large amount of ki locked away? Like maybe you could use that with Genki Dama to fuel Perfect Multiform, etc.

Isn't it? Combine Genki Dama with Multiform to create Perfect Multiform, maybe?
I'm pretty sure that's not how Cell did it, so probably not.

I'm sure we can probably find some way to further munchkin our glorious new windfall, but I can't think of any regarding our current research projects and abilities. Seeing what All is One brings, maybe?

Also, I've just realised that as soon as the aliens are within range of Garenhulder communications, they're going to pick up an insane amount of information about what we just did on the internet, and the Spirit bomb is incredibly distinctive. The cat is pretty much out of the bag there. Do we even bother with fighting as an army instead of just smashing them as SSJs?

I happen to agree, but I don't think that the danger lies in the information-gathering part, so it certainly doesn't hurt to try. Especially since we know nearly nothing about magic, and thus can't actually say that trying is definitely going to be risky.

I am absolutely certain that if we want to train Genki Dama we will have plenty of Saiyan volunteers to help make it happen.

We don't need to absorb people's energies every time we use the technique. That was something Goku only used against Buu. The basic Spirit Bomb only draws power from the planet.

Speaking of Spirit bomb and the clone technique together, I wonder what effect it would have to draw energy just from our clones. It might be much easier to enter, maintain and/or control.

Plus, I want to try spirit saiyin while just drawing power from both our Golden Oozaru clone and our normal body. It's give us a way to cheat to SSJ2 PL without summoning depending on others, which would be useful for less desperate times. It'd also let us practice with a higher PL without summoning the enemy and might help us get closer to cracking SSJ4.

I don't agree on the grounds that Poptart isn't a shitty writer. He wouldn't have spent all this time having us guide Kakara through her Pacifist mindset, and then turn around and give us a situation where the only proper option is to throw that to the wayside and begin killing.

I agree, I don't doubt there will come a time when our backs are against a wall and the only two viable options before us will be kill someone or let someone die. But today is not that day!

On the other hand, some people find moral crises interesting. I'm very much hoping we can successfully seal it, but I suspect that since the dragon might be much weaker now (he can't manipulate the world's ki, we took it) we might end up with Yammar unilaterally killing it because we lack the stomach for it.

So, did Dandeer raise her hands for Genki Dama? On one hand, it was Kakara doing it, on the other, it is the closest to a religious experience she can get since...
Well, that train of thought went down the gutter fast. I just remembered she worshiped super saiyans and ended up marrying one.

On to another subject!; does anyone else find this excerpt ominious?

"Seers have special privileges," says Son Mato as your small group steps away from the house. "That said, it is unusual that you can cross this easily. Most seers wind up elsewhere."

You perk up. "Elsewhere? Where do they go?"

"Not my secret to tell," says Mato, as Goku grimaces in the background. "It's something of a mastery exam. Your sensei will tell you, when you're ready."
What would make Goku grimmace about the seer mastery exam? Do we have to go to hell to talk to Bardock or something?

mmm.

What kind of things does Goku not like?

Though on the subject of the cult/religion...how are we going to get more important than we already are? I mean we're already the cult's biggest figure for the Golden Monkey among other things...how are we gonna become more important?

By either a) revealing we talk to their gods, b) being friends/trained by a god, c) becoming a god ourselves, d) finding new Namek or e) killing the enemy.

c) becoming a god ourselves
mmm

5 needed...mmm we technically have enough Super Sayins (Da, Gramgram, arse gramps, Jaffure and Kakara)...are there four supers that give their energy to the god super or do we need 5 for power and then 6 gets god I can never remember.

Obviously we can't do it we don't know how nor is it advised even if we did.

A resounding response. Unleash the vote merges!

Well, it would seem that even with the merge-and-purge, consensus was a distant thing, but we have here a winner. Update arrives later tonight.
