[X] Take the bean. You don't need it, but those things are more valuable per pound than gold, and he's just giving one to you. A bean that'll cure all of your injuries is always good. Plus they're like a day's worth of food in one bite!

[X] Invite him back to your family's apartments for dinner. It's only polite, given the magnitude of his gift.

... we're Gollum now? :D

I'm honestly tempted to refuse (politely!) the senzu. We don't really need it right now, and we're still in a phase where each of our actions reflects on our character traits. Maybe try to sneak it to Jaffur? Because wow, that's an interesting family he got there.

[X] Don't take the bean. You don't need it. It wouldn't be fair, given how valuable these are.
[X] Politely say your goodbyes.

Hey, if you want to pass a Senzu to Jaffur, that is your choice. You'll need to take it first, though. Betarel is too terrified of his Uncle to do it for you.

Ok, let's see...

- [X] "Actually, Betarel, maybe you can help me with something? I'll take full responsibility, I promise."
- [X] Think of a way to slip the senzu to Jaffur (Instant Transmission?)
[X] Invite him back to your family's apartments for dinner. It's only polite, given the magnitude of his gift.

Even if we didn't took it, that was a nice gift. And if we get him involved in our scheme, the least we can do is offer him dinner.

Looks like a vote to me. Just hitting the thread here so people know you thought it up. If any of you like the thought of this one, go and vote for it.

(If you do and Jaffur is sitting next to his mother or father, I won't deliberately screw you over by jumping you in. You'll wait until you sense an opening.)

Aaaaaannnzzzzzzsleep.

Sneaking a bean will just end with both his arms broken for a week.

That occurred to me as well, but... Royal Pride. A rival highlighting a moment of weakness with mercy? The humiliation might be worse than death.

-so let's do it! Plus, we still owe him a ki beam to the face. We're not forgiving, just patient.

Yeah, I know he might not be grateful right away... Still, I think it's better than doing nothing, and if it backfires, at least we have a proper rivalry. That works too!

If he doesn't want to take his medicine it will certainly be fun to stuff it down the stubborn bastard's throat.

Better yet, challenge him to that sparring match. It's now a fair fight and his pride won't let him say no. It would be suitably mythic for the families to awaken to discover that both their scions has snuck out and achieved transformation on their own. Good way to snub Lord Sadist as well.

You mean, as in "take a senzu, then we spar"?

... yeah, that could actually work. No matter the outcome, it's a far less tense context, so I could see that leading to improved relations.

No, Senzu as the prize. We're not stupid. At full power we don't stand a chance against him, and he's going to need a real challenge and a new kind of motivation to break through as well.

Wait, doesn't he have broken arms, or something?

Nah, that's needlessly vindictive. Even if we win, great, we beat up a half dead guy, how glorious. And we're supposed to be the pacifist.

A broken arm. Also known as a "Saiyan scratch." Goku blasted Vegeta into orbit with a broken arm. He's weakened, not helpless.

At full strength there's no challenge between them. Against their fathers there's no challenge. Right now it's a roughly fair fight and the pain might even help him break through. This is just about the only option for a confluence of enough need, desire, prize, pride, and daddy issues for them to both snap the barrier.

Give him half a bean if really necessary. They can be split.

You know... we kind of look like 18. Or maybe a sharp-eyed Saber-face.

Also, glad to see we already seem to be bypassing Gohan's biggest hang-up in the series. Its okay to fight to defend yourself and others, we almost went SS over it just now.

Yeah, Vegeta took having his arm broken like a champ in canon.

Seriously, I'm pretty sure he had both arms working at this point. And even if not, every injury he took, it was during said fight against Vegeta (who wasn't exactly unscathed either after that round of Kaiokenx3), it's not as if Vegeta ambushed him when he was already down.

The way I see it, your suggestion can only end badly. If we win, we just ambushed an injured warrior, added insult to injury, and you can bet he'll be out for revenge at the first opportunity. Possibly waiting for a time when we have a broken arm, see if we like it. If we lose, it's basically an utter humiliation, we tried to beat someone while he's down, and couldn't even manage that. The only thing we'll have earned from our counterpart is contempt.

On the other hand, if we heal him, then we fight... even if we lose, it's not so bad. At least we showed that 1) we have enough honour to face someone when he's at his best, and 2) that we're willing to fight, but not when someone else decides it. And if we manage to miraculously pull out a win (not impossible, when you watch the mechanics of the quest), well...
