[X] Hang around a bit.
-[X] You've been meaning to look into Drama Club for literal years, and there's a meeting tonight. The audition groups all have their tryouts at the start of the year, but the lowest groups let people just walk in.

-[X] Your dad and you have a press conference in a week, but there's no harm in answering some questions now. Could be a decent ice breaker...

Alright, my proposed solution to the killing animals issue is to just not care much below a certain threshold. If you kill a thousand roaches, and their ki lights go out, a million ants eat the thousand dead roaches and the light returns. If you vaporize a mountain of life into ash, the carbon fills the air and rains down on the fields and the plants grow heartier and more full of life. It is of next to no practical consequence. All is one. One is all. We already had our Spirit Bomb revelation, so we know it's all connected and moving it around and changing its shape a little isn't a big deal until the things we kill start having hopes and dreams that we're cutting short and which don't grow back when the scavengers and decomposers eat them.

That doesn't really solve the issue. It is not that she feels guilty that she killed them, it is that her ki sense is so good that when they die, she feels their death as if it were her own. As in, she feels as if a part of herself died, and that feeling of banishing into darkness is unsettling.

It is not something that is easy to get used to or rationalize because that would be asking her to get used to the feeling of dying.

I guess if she could track their ki to the afterlife it would be a different thing but until then, when something dies she will feel as if she died a bit because all is connected.

I seem to have not voted yet.

Whoops.

-[X] Talk to your history teacher, get to know the world a little better from the other side.

[X] Just leave.
-[X] Have that visit to the Senzus now, actually.
--[X] Inform them about the vision if they haven't heard yet.
--[X] Ask Dandelor what Dandeer could have been doing at the explosion site.

Urgh, life has been hammering me. Also, my wife owns no games and recently discovered that she actually enjoys them. Which, given that we have different operating systems, means she uses mine now. All the time. We need a better solution. In any event, the vote is closed. I'll get to writing tomorrow.

Of the reasons to not be updating I was imagining, that's a pretty damn good one. Hope y'all have fun with that!

If we only had the money, that solution would be perfect. :p

I hear that and commiserate. I'm in a similar bind, myself.

If you opened a patron I am sure that some greatful readers would pay into it.

Hi there, it's me, ur poptart! ;-)

That said, if I were going to back any Patreon, it would be the one for Goblins. But if I were to back 2? The hypothetical PoptartProdigy Patreon (say that 5 times fast!) would be the second.

I make a habit of donating 10% of my income to artists I like. Unfortunately I am currently out of work.

I would feel vaguely scummy, making money from unlicensed work in other people's IP's. I do have an income from my actual, public persona as a writer, but for obvious reasons I won't be sharing that.
Not obvious to me. No idea why you hide your identity. It would likely get a few more people to buy your books. E. William Brown runs a quest and it is the reason I got all of his audiobooks.

I like having an online persona segregated from my actual self. I don't want everything I do here to reflect on my career as an author. Takes the pressure off. Beyond that, simple common sense of internet use.
