Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

Speaking of Type Moon, I'd love to see Joe in Fate like FGO or the Fate Stay/Night routes. Like, imagine Joe tagging along with the FGO group with his unique position of Crafter? Or Joe and Shirou partnering up, I'd love to see their dynamic (and Rin tearing her hair at Joe's bullshit/extorting him for all the good shit).

I like the idea of joe trading powerful divine crafted items for some basic magic lessons.

I wonder where Joe ranks as a Servant if he's equipped with his arsenal too, even if it's the same his rank will increase as he gains more powers.

Man, the reaction of Coil (and Lisa) that the MC has to fake even less interest of following contracts will be great.

And a amusing thought. Since the celestial forge wants Joe to win. Every battle that Joe stop time is a moment of 'zero time' which the forge still can watch to create rolls.

And in a battle those moment of construction and analysis of the enemy action/powers can be a lot of fuel for powers/text.

Which brings me to Joe technique is even more pos singularity for time matters. He already deal with 'three days old tech' now with the hammer is possible to him make the previous tech far older, with the tech circle becoming a spiral (kek) and then a line going up with no deviation

I mean, Joe has Megatokyo tech. Which comes with Booma's and Bioroids. He can just make bodies for Fleet and Survey to Jump into. Hell Fleet showed interest in Piloting a Booma piloting his Super Macross Space Battleship Valkyrie. And Aisha literally is about to get super training, so all her issues with not being able to keep up are going away. I hope Tetra calls Joe Dad during the meeting. And turns into strings. Would crack in the C53 angle and make him even more hilariously desirable. Like let Accord's rep ask if she's Garment's. Just for Max Chaos.

Team Workshop should be fine. Shardspace Knight Fleet sounds wonderful but I kinda hope the heroes get a hold of the Motoroid. If only so they can get upgrades to keep being slightly relevant.

A line? Bah, the "line" is a massive shockwave/rapidly increasing Font Size that rapidly grows to eclipse the entire graph.

Wait... could Joe dupe his Noble Phantasm with his clone potion? Because the way it's described, his Noble Phantasm feels less like an item and more a physical manifestation of a perk, leaving duplicates hollow vessels.

Although... if it did work, would the Noble Phantasm be bound to that duplicate of Joe and disappear along with that clone? Or would it enter some kind of shared Soul space for Noble Phantasms.

If that's the case, could it lead to exponential growth? Start with 1, then 3, then 9, etc.

Also, if he can dupe his Noble Phantasm, could he exploit it the same way EMIYA does? Breaking his NPs?

IIRC breaking an NP causes the NP's grade to go up by 1 and then gets permanently destroyed after an attack. Explosively. Although, with how the NP is described, breaking it would be like tearing a whole in his soul or something equally terrible. Even if he could dupe his NP, he would probably be very reluctant to break an instance of it.

EDIT: Also, could he put dupes of his NP into that cauldron, strip it of magic, and analyze the crap out of the nature of NPs? The same problem applies with breaking NPs, and this all hinges on him duping NPs, but it would be interesting to see what Joe could reverse engineer from his NP.

... ... You know what can happen if someone misuses that tech right. It won't just fail, it will fail in deliciously terrible ways for everyone involved. Can you guarantee the Dear Dr will use it properly, when you never even told him the limits?

He has 10x peak human luck. The luckiest person in the world has won the lottery, survived being thrown out of a plane (which then crashed killing 19 people), his car caught fire while he was driving and he escaped it before it blew up (like in the movies, which almost never happens in real life) and a whole bunch of other things. I would say that Frane Selak is the if not one of the luckiest people in the world. Perhaps you could call him peak human luck? This would mean that Joe is 10X as lucky as Frane.
That does not sound like a very lucky person to me. I certainly wouldn't want to be him. Frane Selak can take his luck and stuff it, I'm luckier than him just by not having to have gone through all that.

This was worth staying up for 2 hours past bedtime. I totally forgot that the motoroid got shard-spaced, I'm sure there won't be any fallout from that. (Just in case though, prepare the bunker)

Okay, I have to say, I wasn't all that thrilled about the idea of Somer's Rock, mainly because just as Joe predicted, it would have probably been a bunch people trying to manipulate him or get concessions out of him.

Now that Joe is actually bringing his entire team along however... Well, I can only say I am unreasonably, downright stupidly excited for it.

I can already see the people at the meeting having a fucking panic attack. It's gonna be amazing.

The are no words in the English language that can convey the sheer amount of HYPE coursing through my veins right now.

Roust, you bastard. You planned this all along!

No wonder you were hyping up Somer's Rock so hard for the past month

There is a suspicion that the fleet-motoroid will cosplay Kaldor Draigo in shard space. And in general, after reading the chapter, I was thinking, so, Joe got a very powerful force, a physical boost(who is he there already, in aggregate, brutus 5-6 without equipment?) and actually a workshop on the road. Probably it's time to go and roll a coil in concrete, for starters. And then I remembered, it's Joe, plus a meeting of mafiosi is coming, and anyway, the forge is not put together. Given the weight of the remaining perks, we are waiting for about 70 more standard Lord chapters))).

To be fair, considering how Joe put it, "Rated for the Simurgh", I wouldn't be surprised if his psychologist doesn't even use it outside of their individual sessions together. It's just that terrifying in context.

Just as a counter point I tend to gloss over age, race, religion, gender, class etc when reading stories or even in real life. Like it really doesn't actually matter even if people get worked up about this stuff.

Granted that may be because I spend a lot of time online where I have no idea who's behind the keyboard.
Okay, look, my point is not that's it's wrong to be non-judgmental about this kind of stuff. My point is rather the opposite actually: that it's wrong to treat any of that flippantly because you're just talking about a fictional character.

Like, imagine being racist in regard to a fictional character and expecting real people of that race to not care because you don't treat them that way. Or saying that you dislike a character for being poor to some real person who is actually poor, without seeing the issue there. Or saying that you'll respect whatever gender a person says they are because they're real, but that when it comes to fictional people who don't matter you won't "indulge" that kind of "bullshit."

I'm not casting out any accusations that you (retric) or anyone else in this thread is like this. I'm using the word "you" in this post for the most part as a general signifier for anyone reading.

I'm just saying that if you stop respecting this kind of stuff the second you're talking about a fictional character who can't affect you in any way, any respect you show for that stuff in regard to real people is probably fake and just a way of avoiding the social consequences of your opinions.

I'm also hyped over the implication that the therapist just provoked Joe into bringing his entire faction into the Somer's Rock meeting. I feel like he'll at least bring in Tetra, Lethe, and Survey if no-one else.
I can't wait to squee as well. I do hope LordR decides against making Tetra into a Kamui eventually like he has stated before. I rather her remain independent and eventually get a humanoid form factor. Joe does not need super clothes at this point or in the future more than a Tetra being independent and mobile.

Brian: "All this time I thought she was my sister."
LOL, poor Brian.

"Apeiron here, I've made this bangle that makes it so no one will ever go hungry again. Everyone's bodies will be fully fed and kept at peak condition. Food will now be more of a thing for if you want to enjoy the taste. Exact details involving things like weight loss or gain or muscle boosting are on my website."

"That's amazing, and you will give these out to people for free?"

"What? ...Oh, you think you need to wear the bangle for it to effect you. No, I'm just telling you what it does."

"...."

"Moving on-" *ting* "-this earring makes it so no one will ever get sick again."
Oh my god, you hit that on the nail on just how op his personal scale, but worldwide effect, equipment could be. Or at least in a hilarious comedy factor way.

His doctor didn't really get that the small powers added up. Which is reasonable. After all, stacking powers would be hilariously overpowered, right? Hahaha.. oh you just crafted a super powerful thing that can keep me safe in under seven seconds while making it look like a tie clip. Oh.
Confused Dr. Campbell blinking

And then there would be NO reason to keep reading because all the driving forces in the story would be gone. YAY!
Yay for SpaceBattler edgelord "competency"! sighs

The Wham Lines of each 600 point perk so far have been great honestly:
Oh indeed! Thanks for the little quoted reminders of each one so far. Hope we get another for next chapter as it seems it might go...

Wait, Brian's knife repaired itself with all the broken bits going to the hilt...did the motoroid repair itself in Armsmaster's lab?!
Either that or it appeared in the docks causing another unscheduled "Apeiron" appearance, but Armsmaster going nuts with his scanners seems funnier to me.
The majority of the motoroid is in shardspace, I assume that is where it has repaired itself. So they now have a working Motoroid in shardspace with all it's working communication tech... Where all the shards are connected and networking. Surely not an important discovery or world shaking research opportunity and way to save the world. Nope. Not. At. All

This is pretty major in a chapter that had so many amazing things happening (therapy). Being inspired to suddenly bring his workshop team with him to Somer's Rock. Oh and that minor Heroic Servant and Servant Crafter thing.

No biggie.

Thank you @LordRoustabout for this amazingly well done chapter. I greatly enjoyed the therapy section and Doctor Campbell everything.

Oooo. Good catch. I mean I guess we'll see by Tuesday. Then again I'm not sure how he could misuse a personal privacy device in a way to set off the perk. It does fit well to with being a therapist. But there is always that delicious possibility now that you brought it up.

He has extremely high luck. Unfortunately it isn't typed to be only good luck it seems.

"Um, you forgot your…" He indicated to the white noise machine, which was still softly playing its soothing sound.

"You can keep it." I called back, shifting my attention to the new crisis in the workshop. Opening up my neural link I extended my connection to try to get a grip on the situation
How long until someone tries to use it for something that falls outside the household issue restriction?

Gonna be fun to read. But not fun for Joe. Especially because the idiot didn't give a single warning.

Roust this was a feast to read. I anticipated every time Joe missed a connection to the Forge, as I knew that as it will come ever stronger than before. I was right. I haven't said this before, but I like how you don't just mention what Perk Joe gets. How you introduce it and how it affects him. Earlier I didn't appreciate it because I didn't know which perks could come. But now when I've been reading the Excel document about every potential perk its something I like to read about.

First I read that he got a big mote. Then I read he knew how one becomes a hero. Then I read about his story. Then I read about what it could do. Every step I guessed what he got, then it got expanded into thinking where will this take it. It's something I learned to appreciate since I caught up. Good job Roust!

We'll see.
Under a particularly unforgiving interpretation you could say that Joe using the device to protect his privacy in therapy is a normal application, but that a therapist using it as a business tool is not day-to-day household use.

Possibly the only upside to that connection was some context for my own abilities compared to what else had been depicted. While the E rank I had received in Strength, Agility, Endurance, Mana, and Luck was absolutely pathetic by the standards of the other Heroic Spirits depicted on that show, it was still a titanic boost to my own abilities. E rank equated to ten times human peak human ability in every one of those areas.
Actually,E rank isn't ten times peak human,or,at least,we don't know the scale that Nasu utilized.
I was also a much better magus than I had been. The abilities I had gained came with specifically quantified skills, all conveniently ranked by Web of Magic's rating system. I had the Territory Creation skill, which allowed the creation of dedicated spaces where magecraft was strengthened, mana could be stored, and spells could be performed more efficiently. Unfortunately, at E rank the skill was barely able to accomplish anything, taking considerable effort to set up even the most basic of workshops.

In terms of casting skill in particular I had received the Magecraft skill at rank C. It wasn't enough to give me any earth-shaking magical abilities, but it did grant a comprehensive understanding of modern magecraft. Compared to my previous specializations it was incredibly broad while still being at a functional level. Essentially, base proficiency with all trades, master of none save the arts I had previously mastered.
Luckily for Joe,in FGO Skills and Noble phantasms can be improved and ranked up,and this isn't limited to the FGO timeline.

I'll just leave this here,if you want more accurate information about the Nasuverse, because we all know how complicated it can get.

So I'm guessing the motoroid repaired itself in arms masters workshop... Welp another tally in the mastermind catagory. Clearly apeiron purposefully got hit so he could trick the PRT into taking the scrap to infiltrate armsmaster's workshop. How devious.

Nope. Probably in Shardspace, where most the material is. Otherwise the Stealth Drone they sent would have picked up whatever remaining material was around, like it picked up Lung's Extra Arm.
