Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

It's rather funny that the thread had that massive debate on wether Joe's equipment would be affected or not by Faultline only to receive a material that guarantees a defense against it.

I felt frustrated that Joe couldn't see that Flechete has a crush on Garment. Even if it is actually really on character for him. Also, does Garment not know about the crush? Or does she simply not care about it?

What did Uppercrust do to piss off Flechette? Was it simply that he interrupted her confession of eternal love? Or did he actually do something to some poor Rogue? Is she a victim of the PRT PR machine?
I felt that the chapter keot bouncing from place to place, it was a bit too chaotic for my tastes, but I could see how it could be intentional to show how chaotic his life is.

Looking forward to all the emotional drama and development for the call.
Flechette is a ward transfer from New York, and Uppercrust leads the NY branch of the Elite. Most likely; it's all 3 of those things - Flechette joined the Wards, and thusly Has to have accepted the PRT spin on things at least to some degree. Uppercrust interrupted her moment with her crush. The Shallow has made the point about Uppercrust and Rogues pretty clear, so I won't bother to reiterate.

I couldn't tell if Uppercrust understood Garment better that the others, but I enjoyed the interaction anyways. I think if Uppercrust had his way he'd replace Jacob with Garment, seeing as she's a whole month fresher. Unbeknownst to him her fucking with precog is for different reasons (random upgrades to her capabilities due to CF rolls).
To be fair, Garment herself is actually fairly static. She is, simply put, a peak human master of her craft and all things fashion. It's just Joe who repeatedly keeps pushing the envelope of what the new peak is as well as added new avenues of fashion previously not thought possible that keeps on making her more and more powerful, but do note that she literally started off as indestructible, has fashion senses beyond mortal ken, and is capable of creating matter ex nihilo. True, she can set the entire city on fire now with just a flair of her Dust dress and cause earthquakes just by strutting her divine heels, but she could also just bury it in wardrobes way before that.

Absolutley, but that doesn't mean her suddenly dust-weaving didn't throw off models.

The more I see Tetra being an adorable child the more I feel she should call Joe dad in public. If for nothing else than the shitstorm that would cause especially if she is with Garment. Who is basically her mom.

I mean, Joe and Garment already have a lovechild in Avid, what's wrong with an adopted child?
So I'm guessing the next chapter will be dedicated to a call with his family? Plus more tech upgrades of course.
Pretty much, I imagine. I'm tense to see how the call goes. Should probably burn a sacrifice at Grandma's altar, and say a prayer, before even inputting the number.

I'm honestly just waiting for Joe to finally get his shit together and stop doubting literally every little thing he has to deal with. Like, I get that you can do biological modification. But for the love of God, calm down with the panic attacks every 2 hours.

Oof. Hope you find another fun thing to read/watch!

Biological Modification is no minor thing, you know. I think Joe is allowed to freak out at persuing possible S-class threats like EVOs...

Don't forget about Hestia she is the goddess of hearth and home she may not be a Olympian anymore but she has powers effecting family and also Joe may be cursed by Aphrodite just look at his love life and his misinterpretation of Flechette's intentions with garment. I would not be surprised he is the son of Hephaestus.

Standing Stone: The Lover (The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim) Free:
Those under the sign of the Lover learn all skills slightly faster than they otherwise would.
It's a bit funny that this is Joe's Birthsign. does this effect Joe in other ways because I was looking at the wiki for elder scrolls and read that "Those born under the sign of the Lover are graceful and passionate"

Thanks for update!

Basically, anything that targeted molecular bonds or arrangement was useless against lathe metal.
Celestial Forge, [Trolling] skill level up!
Unlocked ability to troll the ficreaders.

Somehow no one noticed that yet:

'Sun Wukong, The Great Sage, equal of Heaven, was here'
 Yeah, sounds like him alright.

Ok Joe's a bit TOO oblivious over Flechette's crush and/or sexual interest in Garment
Well, yes. He puts active efforts into it, because romance is awkward, and that one is awk-Ward to boot. :V

If Joe was able to heal him up and say give him another decade
Decade? Joe will striggle if he'll decide to give him less than a fifty years, I'd say.

capable of creating matter ex nihilo
Small correction: Not ex nihilo but from money-to-matter conversion.
She just, thanks to duplicates and transmutation, have near-infinite gold.

Should probably burn a sacrifice at Grandma's altar, and say a prayer, before even inputting the number.
And to Hestia too, I'd say.

Insightful. :o

Firstly, thank you for the chapter. It amuses me that I am more apprehensive over this upcoming phone call than the meeting with literal supervillains a few chapters away, but I guess that just showcases your ability to create a connection between the readers and the character.

Secondly, I've come from the Discord to bring my worries over Natural Puppy. I must admit, I had not even heard of TWEWY before today, so I may be wildly off the mark.

What if Joe uses Natural Puppy to, in a hopefully hypothetical situation, boost his confidence levels in preparation to meet with his parents. He is wearing some Natural Puppy-supported clothing, which is affected by most, if not all of his fiat enhancement abilities.

He then cuts off ties with his family. He doesn't regret it, because of Natural Puppy.

Joe doesn't need to go to therapy anymore. He is more confident than he has ever been.

It seems like such a slippery slope. He is much more confident now, so why doesn't he try and fix the Undersiders' problems, the city's problems, the world's problems? He is gaining more and more power with the Spiral due to his confidence, why doesn't he just keep Natural Puppy on to boost his progress? Why doesn't he keep it on for every encounter with another person forever. He has to be better for them, for all of them, after all.

What I am trying to say is, could we get some clarification of how mentally warping Natural Puppy could be using divine-tier clothing, because it seems that unless I am wrong, which is likely, Joe could invalidate most of his struggles, both with his family and the weight of power, at the seductive cost of replacing himself with a more confident, more powerful person.

And I... don't want to see that. Joe's story is so compelling because an ordinary man is actively striving to be a person worthy of the gift, and life, he was given. If Joe basically brainwashes himself to deal with his life's problems, it would be incredibly dissatisfying.

Well, there also the fact that on the summit Apeiron will have the biggest stick, and everyone will know that. And he can use the stick, if needed too.
Here, on the other hand... Alena doesn't know that Joe have any sticks, and Joe (and we) know that he won't use any tech against her or his other family members.

Ok Joe's a bit TOO oblivious over Flechette's crush and/or sexual interest in Garment. Did everyone also catch at just how form fitting her dress is? You can see simulated cloth muscles THAT SHE DOESN'T HAVE moving under the dress's outerlayers. Garment was being the sexiest disembodied avatar of fashion there was in front of two teenagers and both were being... heavily distracted.
Like it or not, being straight is default state for humans. If you see a female ogling another one, and your first thought above anything else is "lesbian", you probably spend too much time on Tublr, Twitter and internet in general. As such, Joe is perfectly reasonable here.

As for the chapter, I liked it. Lord somehow writes in a way that the 15K chapter feels like a 5K, so it doesn't feel like it drags too much.

I'm not sure where you're getting any of that from… Beyond a cohesive design methodology, the only thing that Natural Puppy clothing provides in a tendency towards the outfits providing defensive bonuses and resistance to status ailments (e.g. Clockblocker's power, or Glory Girl's aura). Other than that, it's just a brand of clothing that Joe will feel comfortable in. No "confidence boost", beyond the outfit not making him feel shy/awkward/embarrassed in the way that "Barbarian Chic" does. It has zero mental warping capabilities — in fact, mental warping could be classed as a status ailment, so the clothes would instead help to prevent it.

Natural Puppy (The World Ends With You) 100:
Natural Puppy is a brand full of clean and simple clothing with soft colors and modest designs. Their clothing offers good resistances to status ailments and defensive bonuses. Works best for those with the Doormat flaw.
Natural Puppy offers a lot of ranged options for Players, and has the best Force Rounds pins available as well as the exclusive Entanglement psych.

A big theme in TWEwY is about pushing people to self-reflection and personal growth, improving themselves and overcoming personal flaws. So, completely the opposite of your hypothetical situation.
