Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

Nay! I clearly heard "Chubster, Gym & Cauldron interludes"!
...I know you're joking, but I would love to see the Gym Bro's perspective of Joe.

From their point of view: Here's a young kid, probably not even old enough to (legally) drink yet. He's sharp and smart, with a good heart. You learn to recognize those things quickly, growing up in the Bay. But he's been through the wringer, and it shows. The kid doesn't talk about it often, but he got his heart broken by a girl, and if he "rarely" talks about the girl, then he never talks about his family; even in Brockton, that's never a good sign. This kid, tall and reedy --all elbows and knees, really --just walked in one day and started training like he had something to prove. The kid, new to working out, endured Mr. Laborn's personal attention and... he kept coming back. Sure, the kid's a little lost, and his head is full of insecurities that the Gymbros aren't really equipped to help with, but Joe's a good kid with a good head on his shoulders. They know Joe'll bounce back from this, and they'll be there to help him every step of the way.

Fuck, I might just write an Omake if Lord R doesn't.

Not only did he deal with Mr. Laborn's personal attention, also dealt well with AISHA's. And considering that Aisha ADMITTED to running off a few people from the gym, I say that would be more impressive to them.

It was nice to get a closer look at the AI characters. The usual point of view doesn't show as much of their character.

This typo looks like a bit of a Freudian slip:
Before ability 125-B-22-Tri there had been no method of detesting the forces behind either Apeiron's magic or various parahuman abilities.
It seems like Survey almost could detest the inscrutable nature of the inscrutable powers, though the main mood seems to be determination and desperation to understand.

A few more mistakes that I didn't see mentioned already
It was perhaps advantageous that Fleet did find it necessary to be concerned with the mechanics behind these effects, merely their performance.
Is this backwards? "did not find it necessary"
That was mostly based on the principle of her issued with ability 110-E-10-Tri.
Maybe "her issues with"?
Remarkable, the nature of their development to this point had caused that issue to become effectively sidestepped.
Remarkably
The rare letters with multiple iterations used to close sign the items of correspondence had a tendency to emit bursts of flame when read.
Just one of "close" or "sign"
Not just inherently magical, but or immense use against the creature who contributed their blood and bones to its creation.
Probably "of immense use"
In this case, infused by ability the material of 071-A-18-Null-Beta 'Ragnite Container'.
Something jumbled at "by ability the material of". Maybe "by the ability of the material of"
Enhance ragnite infused into a vital organ would create a persistent healing effect that could even hold back Tetra.
Enhanced

They probably think that both feats are impressive.
To have the pain tolerance and sheer stubbornness to go against the Champion of your weight class as a complete beginner and actually make him work for a victory is impressive to say the least and to have the mental strength to deal with Aishas personal attention for quite awhile (without being a pedohpile) probably contributed to him being so quickly accepted into a community where it usually takes years to become fully accepted. Though his eagerness in helping them in various matters likely helped a lot too.

Everyone talks about Matrix like he is a high class guy who won't touch underwear less then the salaries of the people who made them.

But I image it like a kid who does not want to eat his vegetables.

It occurs to me that so long as the removal wasn't instantly lethal to Apeiron, they could have
  1. made a clone with Apeiron's most recent mindstate
  2. cut out the parts of Apeiron's brain overlapping with Tetra,
  3. applied healing potion to regrow the brain meat,
  4. used the throne and clone to roll back his mindstate to step 1

That's a old debate, but basically the only thing the S9 have that could be dangerous for Joe is the Siberian.
Really? Y'all forgot about Cherish, then.
And if Bonesaw will go all out with viruses and such, it will be hard for Joe to create and deliver counters quick enough. Like, sure, he can heal anyone from anything. But only one (or three, if he decide to out his duplicates) at time. So, against a pandemic event he will be forced to create vaccines and other meds. That not a problem to him. But he need to figure out what she uses, to create a counter, and then figure out how to deliver it to all victims.
Maniac-quin... Dunno. We didn't really seen, in canon, what he can do as a tinker.

If Bonesaw could counter Cherish with her mediocre biotinkering, Joe could do it a thousand times better with half the materials, before Bonesaw could even finish saying "poppycock".

Regarding the infectious diseases, he can use Fleet's drones hooked up with recorded activation phrases for talisman magic to mass-distribute heals... you know, kind of like he does in this very chapter.

Joe is heavily monitoring his brain state thanks to his implant, he have healing nanite that could correct brain chemical imbalance, he is trained as a military, he is a god with all the resistance that imply, he has his aura, yada yada. I doubt Cherish could do a lot against him, and he could splat her trivially.

She can't damage Joe. She can damage the rest of the world, but that's another question entirely. That being said, Joe could probably annihilate everything around her when he kill her, just to be sure to destroy every pathogen.

detecting.
The process would be simpler with a larger number of drones or just more aggressive tactics, but that wasn't currently a potion
an option.
March was hurt on a level that meant she was fucking dead, but some weird shit happened at the container year.
yard.

So true. Apeiron may be too tough to kill but he can still be overwhelmed. Remember, aside from the S9 there's U&L, Blasto, DiD, Coil, Travellers, Butcher and other villains raring to attack Joe. Plus the shards may be sapient enough to trigger new parahumans geared towards annihilation powers.

Joe's friends and family are too vulnerable. Not all of them have armor or powers.

Regarding the infectious diseases, he can use Fleet's drones hooked up with recorded activation phrases for talisman magic to mass-distribute heals... you know, kind of like he does in this very chapter.
But this would negate everything Joe and his clones did to avoid thinkers and simurgh.

The problem with Cherish is not her master power, it's her thinker, she is also good at finding out what are the emotional weaknesses of people and unless Joe gets a 600 point perk dealing with magic he cant prevent that. And Joe can't make very one immune to Master powers.

In terms of the Snine, I feel like we should also remember that they'll likely be working at an even higher power level than in canon, given Apeiron's whole "outside-context-problem-means-shards-want-to-research-the-hell-out-of-him" thing, so, remember- even though Apeiron can't be manipulated by Jack, I'll put good money that Jack, when juiced up, could probably manipulate the hell out of all the other capes, who are shard-based.

Edit: Also, as far as I remember March is also still "alive", for a given value of alive- but is likely more shard than human at this point, based on whatever happened to her - imagine what Broadcast could do with that!

Ship Machine (The Shallow)
Okay folks, I need someone to write an omake about how Aperion's sensor suites are capable of detecting soul mates. I need this far more than anyone could possibly need a simple typo corrected.
For anyone not clear about the issue, Lord meant to say Panoromatic. Anyways:
Ship Machine
Perk combinations were confusing, I concluded, as I read the scans that the sensor suites, when mixed with divine craftsmanship and heretic adaption, were producing. I had a hunch this only applied when the sensors were also involved with soul(undefinable thing)-based tech, but I had yet to properly test that. Was it just a result of scanning? A result of integration? Then why did Beria's sensors detect this stuff?

From each person, ineffable frequencies were being picked up.

Survey's projection's eyes flashed green, and she piped up "Analysis complete. Frequency shown to correlate with personality descriptions."

I began to look through the table Survey sent, only to be interrupted by Aisha, the Dragon's pulse making me aware of her confusion. "So the weird numbers are like... personality numbers?"

Survey nodded "Theoretically it could help calculate the likelihood of relationships succeeding, although other factors may come into play."

Aisha giggled "So, how long till you figure out a shipping algorithm?"

Survey's face went blank, and I had to terminate her research efforts through my implant, seeing as it was not a priority.

"Not all relationships are romantic."

"Is that your explanation for why You and Chen's numbers are so similar?"

I turned around to the smiling teen, shaking my head. "The man is old enough to be my dad. 'Nough of that joke."

Aisha rolled her eyes, challenging me, and I sighed with exasperation.

Dunno. Bonesaw studied parahuman powers for years, and have Jack, who may or may not gave her some insight about it. And I don't sure how exactly she countered Cherish's powers. I suspect that wasn't something a sane person would want to do with their brain.

She can't damage Joe.
Well, in term "physically damage Joe" - yes, I can agree that no one from S9 but Siberian can do that.
The post as answered to stated that she's only one who dangerous for Joe. And I disagree that's true. There many kinds of danger.

Joe is heavily monitoring his brain state thanks to his implant, he have healing nanite that could correct brain chemical imbalance, he is trained as a military
She don't need to create emotions from nothing. She can just strengthen (or weaken) emotions he already sense. Everything she need to do to circumvent those defenses - a bit of subtlety.

he is a god with all the resistance that imply,
Well, that's a point, yes. But he's a demigod.

So, I haven't read pages 555 and on yet, but one thought keeps popping into my head as I read this: how is Joe going to maintain his "secret identity?" Before this, he was already having to use a potion to scale down his body for 'civilian' interaction. Now his entire body is being rebuilt with far greater capability than anything on the planet, probably anything possible in the next millennium of evolution. After all this, Joe still has to interact with other people - the people at the gym, his family of birth, his psychiatrist? While the latter is a wink-wink nudge-nudge away from Joe = Apeiron, none of the others know or are supposed to know.

I took a moment to realize that Joe can get another 600 tier perk now. Is just too amazing the sheer grow obtained and instantaneous implementation of new material perks because the Insta-craft speed it would make the utilization of new powers just damn smooth now that is absolute unfair for any enemy tinker.

Joe Touched you and your armor and weapon were used to make a better shit.

Panromantic Detector v1 (sarf)
Panromantic Detector v1

Shadow Stalker... stalked... towards the Love Machine, as the neighbourhood had started to call it.
Several couples swore by it. Some blushed. Almost everyone enjoyed the cute photos of Armsmaster and Dragon.
Fortunately, the whole internet nope'd out of watching Jack Slashs FULLY CAPITALIZED celebration post, although everyone was happy that he seemed retired. Bonesaw didn't seem happy, but her correspondence course with Apeiron seemed to keep her busy, although she usually complained about the machine being locked to 18 years and older. PHO, classy as ever, speculated that she hoped for her power teacher to be her soulmate. Most people blamed anime for that one.

With trepidation, Shadow Stalker crept closer. The Love Machine area was declared as a Truce area since the Simurgh landed, got into the 8 feet tall enclosure (somehow) then left Earth at near light speed.

Entering the machine, she noted that it had all the trademarks of a creation of Apeirons. Stylish. Immaculate. Imposing. And yet the gold colour with the slightest pink tint seemed to relax people. The machine was simple to operate - one button, one speaker. The user always seemed to know their soulmate by name. Strange that, almost like an author with a limited cast that didn't want to introduce more characters just to serve as a love interest.

She slunk closer to the speaker, and pressed the button. The machine hummed, in much the same way angels would. If she still believed in angels. Other than the cute pictures posted by WingedOne on PHO. She seemed much less inclined to troll people these days, other than Void Cowboy, of course.

The machine sang:

"Your soulmate is... Skidmark."

Shadow Stalker screamed.

- At Apeirons Lab -

"Damn it, Fleet, I told you Earth Alephs 4chan was not the proper calibration site for Shadow Stalker!"

remnants of the trail made from Fleet's brilliant attack on Lung, standing as a testament to the importance of foresight, simulation modeling, extensive testing, and extremely powerful systems being built into vehicles no matter how unnecessary they may seem.
And this is why Fleet is best boy.

Also, between the technorganic fusion and implementation of magic, I'm getting a very Asura's Wrath vibe to Joe's new heart. I approve wholeheartedly.

LordRoustabout: Makes a one word typo.
Everyone else: Alright y'all, lets make 1000+ worth of Omakes based off this!

Bonesaw used artificial neurons that Cherish couldn't manipulate.
