Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

That The Pleician Tome would utterly suck if he got it early on. Could you imagine not having any WH40K perks, or reverse engineering perks and getting that?

So we are getting a gym scene before the Crystal date? Hmm, doesn't Aisha's dad think Brian and Alec are dating? Now, we just need Alec there. I can't wait for Aisha to comment to Brian about how she and Joe are on "Team Garment" due to helping her out and being her odd job guy.

Can you imagine getting the Tome before any workshop expansion perks it'd basically take up all your space.

Current in story day is Thursday the Crystal date is days away on Saturday iirc so it's probably something like a year away. Due to how there's about 3 months worth of content known for the current in story day and while the next one doesn't have too many known events said events are stomping the nine, the clean up tour and then a ton of reactions to it. There's also a Cauldron interlude before the nine but it's unknown which day it will be on.

Damn, could you imagine Sparks pouring through it?
Bangladesh: Ta daa! I am here! Oh, did you decide to get a new table, I like the style.

Klaus: No, that is something we confiscated with that new spark I told you about. At first, I thought it some sort of Heterodyne machine, but now I'm not so sure.

Bang: Why? Sure, there is no trilobite, but skulls seems to check out. That thing would fit in great at the Castle.

Klaus: Yes, but you see it seems to be some sort of oversized book. And when one of the soldiers tried to open it, it opened.

Bang: ...

Klaus: ...

Bang: And?

Klaus: No "and", DuPree. Just opened. No torture. No killing attempts. That thing doesn't even try to mock everything around it. It might look the part, but that book clearly has nothing to do with Heterodynes.

Bang: Nothing to do with fun either...

Clockblocker glanced back at him, then looked over to his own team. Kid Win and Browbeat looked shocked, but Vista was unusually stiff and was looking at Gully's new body with a complex expression. Given her proximity to Clockblocker, Everett's mind briefly jumped to some of the highly inappropriate assumptions that had been put forward regarding the two capes and their degree of synergy. When Clockblocker quickly nodded to Gully before hurrying off to have a hushed conversation with Vista it didn't do much to dispel the impression.

Hmmm... do I smell shipping ?

Joe doesn't even really go into the madness place, so he'll probably have trouble finding minions.
Didn't have trouble in Brockton, won't have in Europa. Roll Garment Gloves, make (or fix) some clanks, get some teenagers in debt, and the train of Joe's special sort of insanity can roll off every possible track. It's time to show Sparks that real madness place is in proximity to Józef Ďuriš.

... in around eight months. If that. Ahh, well, we wait.

So Vista first showed an expression like she thought it was impossible. Then I thought Vista was like she is angry that someone conned themselves with accepting Apeiron's help? Then Clockblocker went and resolved that tyke bomb? Can someone help me understand what was going on with Vista there?

It didn't go into what exactly her expression was like probably because Tecton doesn't know her well enough to say. Personally I'd guess it was cause her Apeiron hate meant she thought there was some intentional trap in there or that she'd suddenly explode cause his stuff is unstable. Either that or her worldview is crumbling.

Vista: I KEEP TELLING YOU ALL, THIS IS NOT GULLY, THATS A SKINWALKER!

Kid Win: Cloooock, your freeze ran out!

Also, am I the only one uncomfortable with Gully's new looks and the reactions? How old is she exactly? Also, how old is Tecton? And Garment and Flechette for that matter?
No one knows how old Case 53's are. The Protectorate and PRT just declare them under age and stick them in the Wards if they join. Gully might be a teen, she might not. Tecton's a little older than Taylor. Flechette is like ~17. Garment isn't human, and never was. So doesn't apply.

The perk is Arch-Magos it is worth 500 points and its description is this

and it also presumably makes you an Arch-Magos with all knowledge that being an Arch-Magos would entail
Wasn't that perk based on Arch-Magus Bellisarus (sp?) Crawl? One of the few, if not only, high ranking member(s) of the Cult Mechanicus that actually care about how and why things work the way they do and actively trying to innovate and improve what he understands?

On the age debate; given that canon isn't specific on this there's plenty of reasonable grey area on how old they are. All other things being equal LR probably isn't going to present them to us like this and then make their relationship incredibly skeevy.

Sure the narrative has flirted with misunderstandings of that nature a weird number of times, but actually going there would pointlessly poison at minimum this whole subplot.

Given all that why not just assume by default it's something fine instead of screwed up?

Oh boy, can't wait for Joe to finally learn Brian's last name!

(seriously Joe not knowing Brian's last name is like the only reason he hasn't figured out that Aisha and Brian are related yet. Well, there's also Aisha and Brian not mentioning they have siblings, the fact they don't act similar, Joe never being at the gym at the same time as Brian, etcetera. but it being solely because Joe doesn't know Brian's last name is funnier to me.)

I thought it was more a case of "These rules and regulations are slowing me down, therefor they aren't as important as everyone thinks."

Neither of them really bring up their siblings, but he knows Mr. Laborn has a son, and Aisha has mentioned her brother a few times.

I find it funnier that none of Undersides know Joe's first name. I mean, here they were giving him their legal civilian names, and that absolute creature just goes "You can call me Joe.", and to this day not even their thinker figured out that he hasn't given them his name. We at the point where Danny Hebert probably knows about Apeiron's civilian identity more than Tattletale, despite her making panicking about him 24 hours a day hobby.

I can see a meeting between Joe, Aisha and Brian, and the most surprised Brian sounds is when he asks: "Wait, your name is Jozef?!". Grounded stuff hits harder than ungraspable problems and all that.

I'm wondering if Vista's reaction was that suddenly Gully has a hot feminine shape, and she herself is still waiting to not be looked at like a kid anymore. It's not like Vista has more experience in the Wards or something.

Oh, wait, she does!

How that poor girl hasn't strangled someone by now is beyond me. She'd got 3-4 years in the Wards, has basically a Shaker: Yes power and isn't afraid to use it, as well as fantastic instincts on how/when to use that power. She just wants to be seen other than "the cute little space bender", and Gully just got the upgrade of a lifetime from almost creature feature to amazon goddess, all in one shot. It's just so unfair!

I kept reading Everett as Everest... but if Gully is going to rebrand as "Ravine" then he might consider taking that step.

She's definitively jealous of Gully's new looks but given the fact that it's been given to her by "Mammon" has her at war with herself.

There was an edge to his statement, and Tecton understood why. They were coming up on the one-week anniversary of the Ungodly Hour, which had been a week after his own team had been brutalized by the Undersiders, which had been barely a week after Lung had first been captured. So far the city had avoided any major disasters in the intervening time,
Tomorrow: the Nine arrive in town (and get epically crushed).
Next week: Leviathan shows up?

I wonder if the PHO would start making memes about it in the same vein as the "three days old tech" one...

"Yeah." She said, shrugging her shoulders. "I know, but they didn't confirm anything, though there was a comment about needing two new wardrobes."
Garment is probably fuming she didn't have a chance to dress Gully up initially.

And that was assuming that Director Piggot didn't try to use it as leverage to keep Gully contained until the situation with the rest of the City's Case 53s could be dealt with. Another thing he normally wouldn't have even considered, but when it came to the Brockton Bay department there always seemed to be a new low.
They would probably lose so much PR if they did that and it came out to the public.

Vista has 2-3 years while Gully has 4-5 so not true.

"Yes, and your name is Brian, person who I met for the first time today, brother of Aisha I know nothig about, not that I know her personally either. Should I wink to make this more obvious to you?"

Vista: "Obviously THAT whoes name will go unmentioned made her all big and... BIG because that's what he likes! He is using C53s as the clay for his fetishes!"

Clock: "Tecton told me it was her own fault"

Vista: ".....Well, obviously she would lie for his sake! Who knows what kind of sick trap he must have put in her! If that is her at all!"

Clock: "Vista, you need to stop visiting Apeiron hate boards"

Vista: "Never! I will take my Vista Mobile and spread the message! To the Vista Mobile!"

Clock: "There is no Vista Mobi- Aaand she is gone"
