Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

For all we know, the items he gifted will cheerfully respond to any kind of Thinker scans made.
Like Gully's shovel will happily and sincerely proclaim "I'm Shovel!" when scanned.
The thought of every Thinker asked about it deadpanning "it's a shovel" in reply. Even ones who don't get their information in that format. Armsicle tries to scan it, gets that response too from his equipment. Somehow. Balm for the soul.
Hehehe, "is fluffy" reference.

Every week Lord will answer what replies from AO3 he can. You can either read the replies directly from there, or the Celestial Forge discord has a compilation of all his WoGs from all websites which gets updated whenever he does his AO3 responses.

It's actually better to go to discord for them because it has all of Ao3's, is easier to access them all and there's been a few discord only ones in the last few weeks including a 4 parter just yesterday.

I'm actually hoping for an Interlude POV of FaceTime, or any of the other tinkers that are remotely working on Apeiron stuff. I'm really interested in seeing what they're learning from this.

They could also just ask her politely to come into one of Armsmaster's labs and let him study the shovel. Or in the case of Flechette, order her since she is indeed still in their jurisdiction. So long as it doesn't cross the line to "imprisonment" as Lethe put it and they don't ask too many details about the contracts according to Apeiron, there's still plenty of things they could ask.
Exept now other agencies are watching pigot like a hawk so now she can't do that anymore.

plus Gully is fully aware how even more rabid than usual the tinkers are being over dust so it's pretty likely it's going to go the normal way of her not getting it back if she gives it
Bro what, have we been reading the same fic? Thats custom made tool designed by Apeiron, nobody in their right mind - and even those who completely lost their marbles - would even try take it away let alone if its a part of the contract.

Re: Gregor, Joe implied he might try to get most the C53s some level of treatment before the S9 goes through.
Chapter 110 said:
"What are you going to do about Weld's contract?" Tetra asked. "I mean, you were already going to help the other Case 53s."
[...]
"Given the kind of reaction I get, there's not much that I can do." I said, "That is, me specifically."

Tetra's eyes widened. "So we get to help?" She asked. "Well, me and the Matrix, and maybe coordination help from Survey."

"Definitely coordination help from Survey." I said, and watched as Tetra pouted adorably. Yes, she could process information at legitimately supernatural speeds, but she didn't have six reports prepared in advance on the Case 53 residents of the city and proposed methods of addressing their conditions.
[...]
"We won't be able to completely fix things, but that's the point, right?" Tetra asked.

"Kind of." I said. "I could probably put together some basic treatment that would be moderately effective without needing to be personalized, but that would require splitting focus from the current projects, and given what we're up against…"

Tetra nodded. Fully fixing things, on the order of what I was prepared to offer Gully, was off the table, but the rest of my team were more than capable of managing minor treatments and stopgap solutions, at least on the same level as what Weld received on his first treatment.
So Gregor might very well get a follow-up visit from Fleet, offering some 'quick and dirty' nanomachine treatment (curteousy of Matrix) to tide him over for the time being. Which, for Newter, could be quite life changing.

Firstly I said if they took it to examine it since my point all along has been about how they can't and probably wouldn't dare to so weird point in general. Secondly I was referring to the general process of prt get's hold of an outsider's tinkertech which says that in the extremely rare cases they get it back it's usually only a few components or parts. From how tinkertech and tinkers are described and shown in canon my guess would be it's because fugue state or not they take it apart and well this is Apeiron who again they are even more rabid than normal over.

Something else I just thought of though is that the shovel has the bracelet mode so can can hide it meaning they might not even learn it exists in the first place.

If I'm not completely wrong, The Shovel probably has the same effects on it as the Undersider's knives: Auto-repair and return to owner after 48 hours if broken or lost. They can take it from her, but they can't take it from her, so to speak.

Anything built in one of those workshops is fiat backed to be restored to its original condition within 48 hours if damaged or destroyed.
"If damaged or destroyed" If you don't damage a shovel made by Gorilla steel, it won't return to the owner under that perk. (Will it return under another perk I cannot say, there are so many perks, but not that one)

Joe doesn't need a perk for that anymore. He can just have it teleport back to Gully under its own ability, either through magic or very efficient technology.

Heck, Armsmaster's Halberd in canon could do that, and Joe has his power and literally hundreds more.

Re Aisha being sheltered, her year in the Core has already made waves (pun intended) - she got clocked as bourgeois by the rich old dude at the gala because she had solid Opinions about yachts due to Fleet's interest in them. And was shocked when she complained to Joe(?) being like 'i mean obviously I'm poor what's his damage' before it was pointed out she was speaking like a little Lord faulderoy.

I mean, you could already see it in how she makes jokes these days around Joe. Previously she used a lot of Buffy Speak, and to be fair, she still does. But you can gradually see her use more and more technical terms in how she talks, most recent being how she described Joe's efforts of attempting to modulate Gully's passenger as "the techno-thaumic equivalent of hitting your passenger with a rolled-up newspaper".

And even then you could really feel that she was intentionally making her speech much easier for Gully to comprehend, as the "token human" of the Celestial Forge that Gully was too afraid of her to notice she was doing. So imagine if that was her not-quite "dumbing it down", imagine what happens when she is in her role as Garment's aide and doing her best to be professional.

Mind you though, there is a lot more to mental age than just speech patterns, and while I agree that Aisha is mentally older than she is now physically, I'd still put her around Brian's age thereabouts than an adult in teenage shape.

Edit: Also it's kinda funny that Aisha is supposed to be the "token human" but because she's ironically the most well known threat right now aside from Apeiron, people are more afraid of a preteen girl than they are of three strong AIs, a demigod, and a planet-eating space parasite.

Speaking of the Terror of Lethe; what do you suppose will be the reaction amongst the various groups should Gully indicate that, out of all of the Forge, it's Lethe who is most willing to joke around on the job?

Because I sense a great disturbance in the Bureaucracy, as though a million minions gibbered in confusion at once…

If her own works with energy shields and eldrich impossible colours plus whatever casual chemistry she was doing with detox are any indication, I think SHE can read lectures to Hawking at this point. Which is kinda pushes her even more far away from her peers.

Hawking: That's quite the interesting theory. I may just have to steal it!

The downside is that Gully is probably gonna get rushed by the Case 53's when the news of her being fixed eventually does leak.
Question is how fast the new will spread.

Depends, are there hormonal teenagers around? If yes, then about an hour, give or take.

The entire point of waiting for the S9 is to not reveal his anti Thinker spoofing quite yet - and unlike in the case of his gift to Uppercrust, what he gave them would certainly get studied as much as possible by the PRT. Adding anti Thinker protections to them would certainly show his hand on that matter to the Thinktank.

Thirkthink the Thinker: Data Not Found!? What do you mean Data Not Found!?

For all we know, the items he gifted will cheerfully respond to any kind of Thinker scans made.

What, now Dora the Explorer style Song about how it's good to dig and cave it your enemies' skulls?

GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME! Unleash The Bestie upon the world!

I will be disapointed if Aisha doesn't name whatever metal Joe makes Gorilla Steel, and more so if the PRT doesn't reluctantly uses the terms officially.

Hey, now! No need to compare her to a plank of wood that makes me wonder if Taylor is a horrible judge on character (she is)!

Concidering how usual cluster and parahumans dynamics works? The initial conclusion may be that she is too powerful to concider the concequence of her actions, so she acts irreverent to everything, like The Butcher and Eidolon act.

Second conclusion may be that since she was in what appears to be the CF main base and in a position of power (because of the supossed contract) there was nothing Gully could do about her joking about the situation.

Third conclucion may be that that's just how she is and that this is the first time anyone have actually interacted with her outside of an hostile situation.

Conclude the worse first, actually see the situation as it is last. I would call it paranoia, but in Earth Bet it's a necesity.

See, you answered your own question. This is Apetech. It doesnt matter what their shard offers them, nobody would tamper with its inner workings... or may be even just the paintjob. And even IF some tinker loses it, the entire team observing it would taser their ass and haul it away because this is Apetech and nobody wants 800-pound Adamntium Gorilla at their door. Or worse, Lethe. Usual tinkers can do fuck all against PRT and Protectorate so if they get their tech in pieces and missing a few they can only shrug and say "It is what it is". CF. in contrast, are walking apocalypses.

On the subject of Aisha being scary and the moodmaker of the group, reading back to Colin and Dragon discussing how potentially scary Garment is since she walks around with a nuclear bomb cluster strapped to her dresses in the form of Dust, it made me think how people in general would react to learning how the fashion overlady have Joe effectivelly whipped?

How scary it is that Lether, the strongest Stranger in the planet is also a girl who likes to joke arround? No, think about how scary it is that the fashion lady who throws charity events to save a city, likes to give gifts to people, and is generaly really personable and likeable, is able to make the scary thinker man wear barbarian chic and run the runway her? And that she is completely immune to the Celestial Boogeywoman, putting her on a dress that she hates she loves?

Garment Gloves could conquer the fashion world by herself? Nay! Nay I say! Since everythig is fashion, I warmly welcome out new interdimensional gloved overlady!

And that's why G should wear a crown.

What, now Dora the Explorer style Song about how it's good to dig and cave it your enemies' skulls?

Worse actually. It's basically a Disney Princess style song with lyrics about "clearing cave-ins" or "caving in skulls".
Peppered with Nishio Ishin style puns all over the place.

Gully's never going to escape the commentariat's insinuations about her status especially when knowledge of her having a transformation sequence gets leaked.
