Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

Bwahahaahaha! You go Alec! Force healthy social activity down your teams throat no matter how much Lisa and Brian protest!

Also Fleet and Rachel... huh, that's... huh, the more I think about it the more it seems like it could kind of work? Both have very simple personalities. Not stupid, but simple. It wouldn't surprise me if they could grok each other very easily.

[Annihilator effect slams Into Joe, the surrounding villians holding their breath as they watch tossed how much Damage he suffered]

Joe: Waves smoke aside
"Damn, that actually scuffed my boots. Can I try now?"

Everyone else: Fear™️

Loved the chapter, Alec's POV was pretty amusing. When Brian and Joe find out about Ashia I can just imagine Alec on the sideline eating popcorn, having stolen Lisa's detective hat going "just as I deduced dear Watson" to Lisa while she loses her mind.

Also got some pointless minor corrections, hope it's helpful.

A white came was clipped to one shoulder and flowed over his back, though without the subtle billowing effect that had been present at the summit.

Ad overdesigned as the rest of the office, but clearly completely functional. He lifted his head and gave Alec a slight nod.

"Yeah." My second duplicate said. "After all, at this point, what's there to worry about?"

I smiled and I replied with a voice of dark humor.

"Everyone else."

There's a line from a Superman comic. A kid asks superman if he's afraid of bullets and Superman responds "Only the ones that miss."

This kind of reminds me of that.

Hold on. If Armsthrift makes it so that defensive items that are still considered weapons can't break, then material durability does not matter anymore. There are tons of materials that have high as fuck stats in other areas but are never considered due to being fragile. This perk bypasses those restrictions.

Further weaponized defense items should just be focused on force dispersal or kinetic redirection since it's not like they'll break anyway.
It didn't matter anyway for Joe since he had enough durability and quality perks to make near indestructible weapons out of wet tissue before enchantments even come into play. It's just that there's a big difference between 99% immune and 100% immune, and it's that if you're only 99% immune, getting hit by the meteor that killed the dinosaurs will still hurt.

But now? Now Joe and his weapons can truly tank anything.

The absolute effect of Armsthrift only applied to weapons, but I had my Variable Weapon, a lantern shield, and my Combat Boots. Both were weapons as well as defensive items. And I had Fashion, my first power after receiving the Workshop, which applied the protective properties of my defensive items to my body and clothing. My lantern shield and boots were defensive items. Armsthrift was a protective property. As long as I was wearing either, it was impossible for me to break.
Does he even actually need Fashion to be unbreakable, with martial arts from HSDK and Bloody Roar as well as Cyborg Hindu God Body shouldn't his body count as a weapon and be unbreakable?

Edit: also, Aura, is his aura now unbreakable?

He might be unbreakable now, but that doesn't protect against everything. It alone wouldn't stop Bakuda from timestopping him, or canon Scrub from teleporting him to another Earth. Or being Mastered. He might have other abilities that are just as effective against some of these things, or allow him to work around the things he isn't immune to, but the Worm multiverse has the potential for a very broad array of detrimental effects to exist within it and Joe is still vulnerable to some of them.

Being Mastered is no longer an issue with his Mental Fortress, remember? And stuff like teleportation and time stop are things that can still affect him, yeah, but those are stuff he can build items to counter for. Instantly on the field at that, with his Noble Phantasm. The only thing that was his remaining weakness at that point was all-or-nothing attacks, Sting in particular that he just couldn't build around like for everything else like Damsel of Distress and Scrub, but now even Sting can't harm him.

I'm probably more interested about this development more that anything.
Holy shit they're perfect for each other. I never put it together.
FINALLY THE ANTI STING

As an explanation of the interaction, for Joe being hit by Sting now, I believe, will leave him scratched and dented, but ultimately unharmed once he digs himself out of the crater he will find himself in. The crater, being the result of the momentum of all that Sting mass immediately coming to a stop upon contact with a truly invulnerable object.

Wouldn't that... Damage the surroundings a little too much? Mayhaps... Crack the planet? This is the Shards anti other Shards weapon were talking about, it should be more than enough to be a planet buster. A 'crater' is probably very much underselling it

"I've got a date with Fleet." Rachel announced, making her way back from the kitchen.

"What?" Brian asked as she settled back down and picked up her magazine.

"We're going riding tomorrow night." She said as she searched for her previous place.

I love how LordRoustabout writes Rachel, she's a delightful breath of fresh-air.

Meanwhile:
Fleet: "Aisha, can I borrow your unicorn Zoid tomorrow afternoon?"

Aisha: "No."

Fleet: "I need it for a date."

Everyone: "A DATE?!?!"
