Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

Hold on, if Joe is immune to the Simurgh's pre-and-post cog due to Outside Context Problem, why would the Simurgh know where Joe is at all?

All the people that know about Apeiron and are not blindspots

Or If the entire city is unseeable then that becomes the blindspot

Or that this random toxic family is a blindspot

joes protections might make him stand out more

But he can. There was this one perk that provides him with infinite ideas for solutions to his problems - Gadgeteer. Here is how Joe described it:

So yeah, Vortex Sawblade is a thing that Joe can build. Along with infinite other ways to bring the end to an Endbringer or just stop them from doing any harm, if when push comes to shove, Joe still thinks that lethal options are a bad idea.

Let's face it, the closest thing to a proper "Endbringer fight" we can get in this fic is the fight with Lung (And even there, all Lung did most of the time was getting slaughtered with increasingly gruesome means). All that awaits us from now on, could only be described as "Endbringer beat-up". And I'm all for it.

you can wave a warp sword, commander Farside has one

joe might be able to make force weapons as well

heck he could probably make a phase blade if he really needed to, as he already has access to dimensional and Vibro tech

Probably deploy some planetary level shields, some StarTrek level shields with all the improvements he can deploy. Coupled with a hydrokinetic nullification field coming from probably from a noble Phantasm build or something.

planetary shields would likely take some serious damage

endbringers have anti-teleportation abilities, it is not inconceivable that they can punch thru shields, especially with concerted efforts

leviathan might be able to make metallic hydrogen/ Metalic oxygen and create a perfectly timed sub-nuclear bombardment that hit on the resonant frequency of the shield

the sort of impossible precision with staggering power an endbringer is supposed to be able to accomplish

endbringers are supercomputers of murders with millions of years of experience, they see pretty much everything and will use everything in their arsenal if cut loose

Not sure how anti-teleport links to anti-power blocking, but whatever the case is the solution is clear.

If he can't teleport the end bringers, simply teleport the rest of earth bet somewhere else. Preferably another dimension. :V

Sure it's an absurdly large scale effect, but it's also one limited by resources and not esoteric defenses.

Sure they'll probably follow Eidolon, but there's no reason Apeiron can't just keep smashing the gigateleport button.

Had an interesting idea in where a story thread would go:
What if one of Joe's sisters Triggered?
Would be a pretty interesting situation if there was something lower priority than the S9 or Endbringers going on and Joe had to go.
Think of the drama! The reveals!
The "You have an alien connected to your brain that drives you towards conflict."
Dunno if this has been discussed before-sorry if I'm being redundant in that case.

It would have have to be Alena, both for narrative causality, and because is the better represented and explored so far, also is the only one that has shown a modicum of decency towards Joe; making it more tragic,
Like, the only cool thing that the new Hulk series got right is the moment where Hulk tries to tell his cousin that her normal life is over, that she will never not be a Hulk. Once you stop being a normal human, by definition, normality ceases for you. That would be a nice scene for this story...

I'm looking back at earlier chapters, and it's wild how far everyone has come. Joe, Tetra, Aisha, and the AIs with the Celestial Forge. Even people surrounding him that aren't part of his team. Alec, Rachel, both Danny and Taylor, Theo, Glory Girl, etc.

People have sometimes felt like this story is dragging, but many of the characters feel like they're miles from where they were when everything started.

It's pretty simple. Apeiron clearly puts importance on Brockton Bay, and if she can't see him, she can just make sure that he confronts her by attacking Brockton. And if she still can't see him during the fight, Apeiron clearly cares about collateral damage so just crush the entire city with telekinesis and brainwash the populace into fighting him while she uses the Tinkers in the city to make superweapons. And if that's not enough, what about more cities? What about entire countries?

Remember, the Simurgh like all Endbringers is still sandbagging hard. Just because the Simurgh can't see him accurately does not mean she can't do anything to him anymore. She'll just escalate on what Bakuda did during the Ungodly Hour and force him to react to her instead of waiting for him to prepare something that can take her down. And that's why Joe is still hiding his best abilities, because he knows this and thus is already preparing his weapons so he can take her down even before she knows to escalate.

Dont forget that in addition to blank, joe has item creation A++, and made precog misdirection mystic codes. so its not exactly like she cant see him, more like she sees a fake version of him running around.

I don't think she can do these things through his demonstrated interference, much less through any future countermeasures. Furthermore, her precog will tell her that Apeiron won't interfere even if she does all that.
She just needs to be in the vicinity to access their Shards, remember? And again, this is in the hypothetical "if the Simurgh knew that Joe is a blindspot" scenario.

I am aware. I'm just pointing out the worst case scenario of what may happen if Joe's anti-precog countermeasures ever came out, as it is why Joe is still being cautious on how he would take down the S9, because if he doesn't act within people's expectations, the anti-precog will be revealed and major threats may not be as willing to leave Apeiron be at that point.

Take it easy. Your health and sanity are important, and should not be burned for this.
Still love your work.

Joe's protections have reached the level of spoofing the enemy thinkers, thought they all have enough information available to attack him (or his city) anyway.

i actually tough about including this in a fic I wrote

'if i cant teleport leviathn out of the city ill teleport the city out of leviathan'

tech ideas:

Compton computation
given Joe can create tech 100x smaller than he could make mundane transistors at the picometer scale, meaning you could utilize the Compton wavelength in computation, what that would do to a computer I don't know, it might allow computation with no spending of energy or superconducting transistors

matryoshka brains are possible, with the capability of simulating multiple universes soley with mundane computers, Joe could likely use a method of accelerating the spiritron computer using his vast energy reserves

magmatter:
"Magmatter or monopolium is a form of exotic matter which is made up of extremely small atom-like particles, which themselves are made up of magnetic monopoles.

The diameters of normal atoms are in the picometre scale (10−12 m) with a density of 1012 kg/m3. Magmatter atoms are billions of times smaller in the attometre scale (10−18 m) with a density of 1018 kg/m3, even denser than strange matter which is about 1017 kg/m3 and slightly denser than degenerate matter.

Because of the much higher binding energy (about 300 GeV) holding the magatoms together, magmatter is about 1032 times stronger."

40k tech
in the 40k tree alone, we have conversion beamers, neutron lasers, dark matter weapons, Volkite weaponry, chronal weaponry, vortex weapons, jokaero artifacts, eldar corsair artifacts, deathwatch artifacts, Araneus Continuity tech, psychic tech

not to mention the sheer amount of drugs that exist in necromunda, he could give Tybalt the eversor cocktail with no issues

Additional media:

'Pound' music colection (40k)

El Amor De La Pasión El Amor (Generator Rex)

Ultimate Exposure (Generator Rex)

Gabriel and Michael's piano concerts (Generator Rex)

the complete works of Emi Chusuk (Dune)

Long March Ballads (Dune)

Songs of the Long Trek (Dune)

music from the Lord of the Rings might not actually be recordable conventionally due to metaphysical weigh, maybe on sheet music that Joe can perform due to dwarves craft, misty mountain is definitely there

Dazzler (MCU)

snake jazz (XCOM)

Additional questions:

Does the drug power affects permanent boosts like hero water from Naruto/one piece?

Do magical/ technorganic /psychic substances count to the stimulant power, like spice mélange, extremis, alchemical potions?

would the Water of Life (substance,Dune) work on Tybalt?
(since his father is a god, he might only receive information on the female side of his lineage, which happened in most Bene Gesserit, which is more than fair, it only gives him the experiences of 1000s of people, including a woman that impressed Hades, a lot of it will be culinary knowledge due to Palico)

I personally want to see Ultraspice, a version of spice so powerful it OD a perfect clone of Paul Atreides instantly and traumatize him for the rest of his short life

Does the drug power applies to secondary intended poisons like black blood from the Witcher?

Gasp!

I can't believe neither you nor LordR mentioned that most supreme of all Gamer pieces of music.

Lol.

I assume any music from settings that do not have the technology to produce recordings will unfortunately not be appearing in the music collection. Because I to would love to hear
in the original Dwarvish, as sung by Dwarves.

You know , I wonder what's Joe "level" of elven enchantment

Like is he Feanor equal already ( you know , the guy who made pocket suns) or he is still Celebrimbor level ( while the rings of power are good …. They aren't that impressive)
Or maybe he is even beyond, maiar/Valar level of singing already

Considering he has multiple art powers, godly artistic talent, and has already created universes and souls...

He might be Eru Ilúvatar level of singing, if slower and less powerful

an excellent form of gaining new technology would be thru media of worlds we have already been thru

the equations of Tio Holtzman in a Physics book are entirely possible from the media archive, or even explaining glow globes

similarly the inventions of Ceasar Salazar such as a fog machine size device that can freeze a fountain solid and be canonically present in a scientific magazine

as well as an organic material destroying force field a private bank in hong kong would have access to

and memory-returning machines that are probably public knowledge, even if they never worked in the series

Xcom literature on alien tech is going to be common after the war, by the time of chimera squad you can have books of alien tech

It likely is impossible to judge just based on Elven Enchanting as he never uses it without other perks.

I would think at or above Celebrimbor with Elven Enchanting and perks that support it directly (General Level Potential, Unnatural Talent: Charms, Unnatural Talent: Music, Serene Sinatra, etc.) but his other perks push him way past Feanor, especially Master Craftsman (King Arthur), Item Construction A+++ and Daedalus' Student.

List of known stimulants available to Tybalt

Dune:

Water of Life: capable of granting you the combined genetic memory of all your ancestors, it's instantly lethal to males in even the smallest of quantities, it is the one drug that apiron can't make a safe version of

Poison Rossak drug: does the same as the waters of life, but even more lethal, and less effective

Spice Mélange: can extend life and unlock/strengthen prescience, as well as strengthen the body and mind, it can be made into cloth, explosives and papper

Sapho: stimulant similar to coffee but much stronger

Verite: incredibly potent truth serum

Ultraspice: an incredibly potent form of spice created from genetically engineer worms that live in the sea it killed a perfect clone of Paul Atreides

awareness spectrum narcotic: the greater category of which spice is part of, there may be substances that can grant lesser prescient sight at a higher cost

40k:

  1. Klay
Military-grade stimulant. Sharpens all five senses and improves recall

  2. Admylladox
is a pain-killing and mind clearing drug

  3. + Torpor - is a chemical cocktail of neural-inhibitors and narcotics deigned to render the subject docile and, more importantly, negate their ability to use psychic powers, (maybe effective on parahumans)

  4. + de-tox
De-Tox is a drug used by the Imperium, which will, if administered fast enough, negate the effects, both positive and negative, of most other drugs, toxins or gases. However its use is extremely unpleasant as it is painful and debilitating, and will also cause side effects of vomiting, nose bleeding, and voiding of the bowels
(use in gas form it can incapacitate merchants, causing instant withdrawal)

  5. +Absolla root
regenerative, that heals almost all mundane injuries

  6. +Polymorphime
" is the exotic shapeshifting drug that is the hallmark of the Callidus Assassins. When combined with the extensive Callidus training, it allows the assassin to change their flesh to adopt the appearance of almost any human or even a humanoid alien.

It can be used to adopt a specific appearance so long as the user has seen and studied the target, or that of a more general disguise when detailed change is not necessary.

A single dose of polymorphine lasts for two solar hours, but its effects can be mitigated at will by the user. Those untrained by the Callidus Temple can only assume shapes that approximate their own, as they lack the surgical implants necessary for more radical transformations.

Even then, it takes a strong will to control the drug's effects, risking transformation into an abhorrent amalgam of their current and desired forms for the next half-hour."

  7. +onslaught
is an Imperial drug that heightens awareness and improves reaction time, literally speeding up the user but causing fatigue and neural damage with prolonged use

  8. + spook
Spook is an extremely dangerous drug of unknown provenance found in the Imperium of Man that has sometimes been used to provide temporary psychic powers to those that use it, particularly during combat situations.

Spook is processed from the vestigial remains of the oldest kind of synthdiet found in Necromunda. The decayed synthdiet deposits are now nothing more than a lurid green powder, having been acted on by mutant fungi for thousands of years. It contained a high proportion of recycled human protein and it is this human essence which is likely to account for its dramatic effects on the human psyche.

The drug spook is taken in liquid form - the ultimate magic potion. When drunk in small amounts, it awakens the imbiber's psychic abilities. When drunk in quantity, it opens the channel between a person's physical body and their soul in the warp. If the individual has a strong soul, it will be drawn into his material body; if he has a weak soul, all psychic energy will be instantly sucked out of him and lost in the void. It is for this reason that spook is a very dangerous substance, and its use viciously repressed by the Imperium.

In hive world society, people are constantly seeking ways to exploit anything they discover. The people who stumbled on the unusual green deposits investigated ways of turning them into wealth, as they would have done with any substance, and in the process discovered spook. Being ignorant of matters of the human soul and the danger inherent in mankind's metamorphosis into a psychic race, spook was seen as just another substance to be recycled and exploited for profit.

There has always been a massive demand for drugs in hive society, mainly to supplement the diet and ward off sickness. Spook became popular among the nobility who reveled in its exotic effects and it has slowly filtered down throughout hive society.

The noble households which exploited this resource naturally kept the trade secret and continued to grow rich. The household of the Lord of Necromunda himself was involved in the business and was able to organise off planet trade of spook. This had to be accomplished using smugglers, since the Imperial fleet conduct all legal trade in space.

The drug's effects are inconsistent and are just as likely to lead to psychosis or other forms of mental instability as the development of a psyker's abilities.

Those who fail to gain such abilities often find their mind filled with terrifying visions of the Warp for several solar hours. If the use of spook successfully provides psychic abilities, the rush of power can quickly become addictive, leading to increasing use of the drug.

  9. + Crystal Ersatz - is a narcotic drug. Heavy use of the drug during pregnancy, can result in the child developing prodigious mathematical abilities and an indefatigable memory.

  10. +Barrage:
Doubles the user's physical performance, but causes catastrophic physical damage within minutes

  11. +Spur
Spur is the name given to a wide variety of performance enhancing drugs produced primarily in the underhives of Necromunda. Spur tends to be less popular than other options such as Spook and Onslaught due to the fact that Spur is renowned for its wide-ranging side effects and since no two batches of Spur are ever the same, the taker will be completely unaware what side effects they may endure and to what extent until after they have taken the drug.

All types of Spur are stimulants, which hyper-stimulate the nervous system, heightening the accuracy and range of all the senses, reducing muscle reaction times, and even accelerating thought processes.

    Side-Effects
As mentioned above, Spur is well-known for the side effects it can induce. Some examples of these are listed below.
    • The individual's nervous system is hyperactivated at a vastly accelerated rate. This can result in them becoming nigh-invulnerable warriors, dodging bullets and making impossible shots across a city. Unfortunately, this level cannot be maintained for long and a short period of supremacy is traded for quick and long-term incapacitation as their body shuts down and attempts to recover from the experience within minutes.
    • The taker's reactions times improve, but their senses become hypersensitized to the extent that a sudden and unexpected physical shock (maybe something as small as a comrade coming up from behind and tapping them on the shoulder) will cause their nervous system to overload and make them lose consciousness

  12. + Reflex:
Increases reaction time, but also increases suggestion and vulnerability to psychic attack.

  13. + Cyanomorphide: enables certain mutants to change their appearances.

  14. + Hypex - used by Dark Eldar Wych Cults. Increases the user's initiative

  15. + Serpentin - used by Dark Eldar Wych Cults. Increases the user's skills with their weapons

  16. + Grave Lotus - used by Dark Eldar Wych Cults. Increases the user's strength

  17. + Painbringer - used by Dark Eldar Wych Cults. Increases the user's toughness

  18. + Adrenalight - used by Dark Eldar Wych Cults. Increases the power of the user's attacks

  19. + Splintermind - used by Dark Eldar Wych Cults. Increases the user's leadership skills.
