Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

Notes (The Shallow)
Notes
Dr. Campbell didn't know what to expect when Joe called him, but he picked it up anyways.
"Good Evening, Jozef."
"Hey, Dr. Campbell." Joe sounded tired, and right after saying that he yawned slightly. "My sleep is a little messed up, got lightly injured during the attack."
Dr. Campbell raised his eyebrow at Apeiron's lie... He had heard of Apeiron having some healing tech, but the fact he still wasn't fully recovered was terrifying to say the least. Should he just admit that he knew right now? No, it would be best to not shock the young man, and do it in person so Joe couldn't just end the conversation by hanging up and panic. He'd play along for now. "Oh dear, are you alright now?"
"Yeah, they barged into the barbershop and fired something, but then Apeiron swooped in and got them out. The doctors fixed me up well, should be fine for our session."
Dr. Campbell furrowed his eyebrows further, Joe was really just throwing out good lies like that at this level of tire? He'd have to bring that up. "Barbershop?"
"Oh yeah, decided to get a haircut, it was long overdue, and decided to dye some of my hair red. Was about to leave when the ABB walked in."
Campbell remembered that news footage of that red energy, and could only guess some of his hair had been affected during the partial healing his tech allowed for "Well I'm glad you're safe, is that all you wanted to discuss?"
Joe yawned again "No, I wanted to confirm I'll be there on Saturday, but also... Look, I'm having a weird" another yawn "a weird moment of clarity being so tired, I fucking suck at dealing with issues, but I'm tired so I'm gonna either forget this or say I was being delusional."
"You want me to discuss your coping mechanisms with you?"
Joe yawned once more "Yeah, pretty much."
"Well, I'm glad we'll have more time to discuss everything. You should likely go to sleep soon."
"Yeah, good night Dr. Campbell."
"Good night, Jozef."
There was a click as the call ended, and Micheal Campbell sighed, and opened up his notepad on Joe.
THINGS TO DISCUSS (4/23/11) :
  • Apeiron
  • Murdering people
  • Severe injuries
  • The stress of having to save multiple peoples lives before they blow up
  • Stress of organizing a massive response to the ABB
  • Stress of getting blown up to shreds
  • Stress of your power mutating you
  • Murdering Lung
He scrawled on another three topics he'd have to bring up.
  • Sleep/Tinkering balance
  • Quick lying
  • Coping mechanisms
That was going to be... an interesting session.

Becoming a Primarch (Mojave Courier)
Becoming a Primarch
-----------------------------
Joe continued to stare at his reflection in the mirror. Even now, he was still having difficulties recognizing himself. The Forge had a funny way of surprising someone. Just when you think, you had it at least somewhat figured out, it goes ahead and surprises you even more. It was if the Forge enjoyed watching him suffer through the problems.

It all started with a simple perk. It was called Eternal Edifice. It was a perk that allowed any of Joe's creations to last, as it said, eternally. Not a problem. Joe had another perk like that and it wasn't exactly groundbreaking nowadays. The boost was nice but the perk itself wasn't the problem. It was a small mote in the Resources and Durability Constellation. The problem were the four other motes that came alongside it.

Apparently he had become something that was called a Primarch, a superhuman being far better than a human. He was the crowning achievement of Mankind's mastery over genetics. A magnificent and powerful being created to be the Generals of the Great Crusade. He was greater than humanity and it was his duty to uplift them to greater heights than ever before.

That would probably deserve a dollar in the jar.

Looking back at himself in the mirror, Joe could see the vast changes his power had once again given him. Once he could call himself tall. Now, his previous height seemed inadequate. He towered over his previous height and from what he could tell, he was, at the very least 10 feet tall, if not taller. He was stronger, more durable and he watched as the wounds from his fight with the ABB healing before his eyes, without even activating his nanites. Every single one of his senses were enhanced as well from what he could tell. He could see every single micrometer defects inside his apartment. God, that was going to be annoying to deal with. He was just better than he was before. He even had fangs, like a vampire.

Once he was done looking over the physical changes, Joe moved to examine the changes to his mind. From the moment he had obtained his powers, his mind had been working on overdrive. His memories were clearer, more vivid, and he doubted that he could ever forget anything ever again. He was thinking faster too. He could analyze anything with far greater efficiency and speed.

And yet, even the changes to his mind paled in comparison to the final power. Opening up the palm of his hand, he willed a fire to existence. He had pyrokinesis before but that didn't explain the strange fire in his hand. The fire was truly unusual. The fire's color was changing with every passing second, from white to red to orange to yellow to green to blue to indigo to violet to black.

Warpfire. Psyker. The words came to his mind as if he had always known them.

He was a Psyker. He was, for all intents, a wizard. A powerful one too.

God, Aisha was going to have a lot of fun on his expense in the future.

No matter. The Forge had given him these powers and he was going to use them. These were no different to the Beast-Change power, his divinity, or every other skill given to him.

He really needed to talk to his therapist soon.

------------------------------
Nothing you build will surrender to the passage of time; bury it for ten thousand years and it will work just as well as on the day it was forged. Imperial technology was built to last, as yours will be too.

All the Emperor's sons have been forged out of both physical matter and pure psychic force. In some, this manifests as incredible psychic talents, in others more esoteric gifts, but all have some things in common. You are to Astartes what Astartes are to children, standing head and shoulders over your fellows and obviously superior in every measurable way. You can hurl around Terminator armoured Astartes like they were children or punch straight through their plating, move far faster than even Astartes sight can follow, and even briefly lift a small Titan under your own power. A breathing apparatus is largely useless for Primarchs, for excepting a few chemical weapons and hellish worlds, a Primarch can breathe just fine in nearly any environment and even fight for hours without air amid the void of space. Not only that, you possess a fairly quick regeneration ability; you will heal from bruises in mere seconds and fully recover cuts down to the bone in minutes for a regular cut to hours for having the flesh entirely stripped off. But it is already extremely difficult to actually wound a Primarch, who is capable of surviving shots from tank cannons, bathing in molten rock, and being shot through the eye with sniper rounds. The average Primarch is also notably extremely resistant to psychic powers – capable of largely shrugging off all but attacks from extremely rare, extremely powerful psykers, though you may lower your resistance if you wish to be easier to affect with psychic powers such as healing and buffs from your allies.

Your mind is every bit as honed as your body. Your towering intellect would be considered genius among the greatest of men, though naturally inferior to the Emperor Himself. At the least, you have perfect eidetic memory (though there are ways to make you forget) and can memorise vast quantities of information far faster than any living human has or ever will. Furthermore, all Primarchs seem remarkably resistant to Chaos corruption and possession; short of directly clutching a Daemon weapon, being wounded by a specific weapon meant to corrupt you personally, or willingly letting the power of Chaos into you, you do not fear the gradual insanity and corruption into darkness lesser men might face. A Primarch naturally has the kind of towering willpower to resist Chaos in general, even the Ruinous Powers must put some serious effort and elaborate plans into luring one over to their side.

You are, even before any other purchases, a very strong psyker. However, your powers most likely manifest as latent abilities you have no particular influence over, and many Primarchs showed an... aversion to psychic powers that further limited their ability to develop them. If you were to deliberately apply yourself, learn to unlock your psychic potential and learn to safely use it, you could easily become an Alpha psyker at the very least. This is your raw potential and barring any other purchases in jump will begin entirely latent and untapped by yourself though it remains entirely possible you can awaken your gifts and reclaim your birthright as a mighty psychic demigod. Constant exposure to the Warp or the gifts of the Dark Gods may even empower you further...

I might do one about Joe's Legion in the future. You get 50,000 Space Marines in the Horus Heresy Jump for free along with many, many other things.

Gold and Silver (The Shallow)
Gold and Silver
The blond man next to me shivered as he looked at the massive large crystal mountain.

"Look, it'll be fine, Zi. I just need to introduce some Mana into her system and she will re-awaken."

"Must you tear us out of our perfect forms though? Make us Homosapiens?"

"Zi, we've talked about this, it's my peace offering with you two."

Doctor Mother scoffed "You are far too merciful, Jozef."

I scowled "Be glad I didn't nuke you for what you did to all the Case 53s."

The doctor rolled her eyes performatively, I could feel the existential dread running through her with The Dragon's Pulse. I looked to Fortuna and handed her a prepared focus. "Dig Eden out for us, this should let you do it."

Zi shook his head as the Cauldron Cape dug through the mountain, returning an hour later with a head-sized crystal, that was more silver than blue. I poured my mana into her, and her soul re-awakened. Panicking, as this shard only held her mind. I pulled the prepared body out of my personal reality, along with the apparatus.

The machine activated and the woman opened her eyes. "INFORMATION." She yelled. She repeated the mantra a couple of times, and I had to hold Zi back from running to his beloved. Once she calmed down and processed the information already uploaded to her brain, she got up and ran to Zi. They hugged for a minute, and I smiled. "Door to the Warm's apartment."

I dragged the couple through the rift into New York City in Aleph. "Alright, you're Zachary and Edna Warm," I handed the former Worms a bunch of ID documents respectively "you recently got married and you bought this apartment. I've given you enough money so you can stay jobless for a year, and left a couple of job recommendations for both of you, enjoy your life."

I stepped back, and Doorman made a door to my apartment. As the door began to collapse, I called the soul-bound focus back to me, and laughed "GOOD RIDDANCE!"

As the door disappeared, I heard the beginnings of the explosion. I let a joyful sigh escape my lips "...That was some contrived bullshit."

I then stepped into the workshop, where Garment, the kids, Aisha, Taylor, Lisa, Lily, Brian, and Rachel were all waiting for me. Survey smiled "Time to PARTY!!!!!!!"

Joe, what are you working on? (SkrmnMrgsm)
I think the best way for Joe to do shoddy work is to build a robot to do it for him. Bonus points if it looks like pre-Forge Joe and can take his place for social events. Let him control it with his implants but give it a mediocrity filter.
"Hey Joe, what are you working on?"

"Oh, Hi Aisha. I figured I'd make a couple of little decoy bombs and grenades in Bakuda's style with little trackers or cameras inside, so I could sneak them onto her troops and get better info for the legal processing of the ABB's upper echelons, but I just can't replicate the rustic look she uses, and my perks keep making my welding too smooth to blend in with her line styles. I'm trying to emulate a copy of her power onto a little droid I've built, but it keeps indirectly borrowing my crafting powers and making things too miniaturised or modular. I figure I'll just start stripping back the limbs or sensors until it doesn't count as an extension of my crafting ability anymore, and hopefully I'll hit the sweet spot before it can't operate."

"Joe. Let me get this straight. You are trying to make spy devices that look like the city's most imposing villainous tinker's work, but you're so good you can't even fool people into thinking you're as bad at tinkering as she is."

"Well, not exactly, it's more-"

"And because you can't do such a terrible job even under duress, you decided to emulate her entire brain and personality in a robot body, as a side project, and even that was such a good job that it can't pretend to be as bad at tinkering as she is?"

"I mean, technically it's not a real personality emulation because it doesn't have personhood, it's more like a hammer with autocomplete-"

"And now your only hope of disguising your tech as hers is to remove its eyes and limbs until it is left with just enough to mimic the most cutting edge technology that what is currently the top sixth highest-ranked threat on the Eastern seaboard can make with the funding of an entire gang, and yet still cram inside what are likely to be cameras and recording devices far beyond what she could dream of creating?"

"Well, I thought removing the multitools would be enough, but Bakubot just clanged its shoulder joints against the scrap metal sections until it had a proper thermobaric cluster grenade, and it was too small to be an original piece. I think maybe it's still getting some sort of heat data from the friction in its little treads? Hey, do you think it could still compensate for force feedback if i set up some kind of randomised mass field in the building area, I could probably whip up some-"

"For God's sake Joe, stop trying to find new ways to bring the poor robot down to her level and just build some kind of hologram that makes the grenades look terrible even when they're actually good."

"I- huh, actually that's pretty smart. Let me drop Bakubot off in the Laboratorium real fast so she can join the research team, and then I'll be right out with your new particle cannon attachment for your wristwatch."

"A particle what?!"

"Well, the nanoforge was idling and I had to design something whilst you were so busy interrupting me."

For The Want Of A Techbase: Attack On Titan (The Shallow)
For The Want Of A Techbase: Attack On Titan
Sadly, none of these perks are available to Joe, but I was inspired by the AOT soundtrack of the last chapter.
Also wasn't entirely satisfied with this, but it's back.
Will be doing a short series of omakes in this vein.
----------------------------
Veteran (Attack On Titan) (200CP)
Capstone booster for the Soldier and Warrior backgrounds. Add 1d8+15 years to your age. Choose two of your skills to upgrade as the focus of your career. You have years of experience working, fighting, and honing your skills. You've climbed the ranks of your organization, and while you're not the one calling the shots you have a significant amount of experience and influence among your colleagues.

Engineer (Attack On Titan) (300CP)
Even if you keep humanity trapped behind walls, you can't snuff out the drive for innovation. You can take an intricate machine like vertical maneuvering equipment and play around with it, modifying and upgrading its mechanisms like the blades, gas propellant, and grappling cords.
Veteran experience: You don't need a base machine to work with anymore, you have enough experience to design your own inventions from the ground up. You can pull fields like weaponry and travel technology ahead by leaps and bounds just by tinkering away in your workshop. However, you should know the interior MPs keep a close eye on any new technologies, and will hear about an invention that breaks the mold even as far out as Shiganshina District. You'd better keep a tight lid on any groundbreaking work you do within the Walls if you don't want to disappear one night.

Titan Researcher (Attack On Titan) (300CP)
Perhaps you're a student of Hange Zoë, or an aspiring member of Marley's Titan Society? Either way you know much more about Titan science than the average person. This has given you insights into their behavior, both avoiding and manipulating their movements as well as staying just out of reach, as well as the ability to modify weapons to be more effective against them.
Veteran experience: You're one of the leading experts in Titan science. You have in-depth knowledge of Titan biology, Eldian genetics, and the mechanics of paths. You could tell someone was of Eldian descent through a blood test, replicate Titan spinal fluid with mundane materials, and even conduct experiments similar to those that created the Ackerman clan.

Subject of Ymir (Attack On Titan) (0CP)
Commonly known as Eldians after the empire they ruled over in the past, Subjects of Ymir are the descendants of the original Titan Ymir Fritz. As a Subject of Ymir, you'll be transformed into a Pure Titan if you're injected with Titan spinal fluid. You're also able to inherit one of the Nine Titan powers by consuming the spinal fluid of a deceased former wielder, most often done as a Pure Titan. The population of Paradis is almost entirely Eldians, but outside the island they're hated and discriminated against.

Paths (Attack On Titan) (0CP)
All Subjects of Ymir are connected by paths, regardless of the distance between them. Paths are used to create and repair Titan bodies when a transformation is triggered, to pass down the power of the Nine Titans and the memories of former inheritors, to pass down skills and instincts among the Ackerman family, and to control all Titans and Subjects of Ymir with the power of the Founding Titan. All paths cross at one coordinate, the Founding Titan, in the dimension where Ymir Fritz endlessly toils away to build the bodies of the Titans.

----------------------------

It had all started with a small mote from the capstone domain. It had been named Veteran, and had come with victorian-ish military memories. I had suddenly grown older by 16 years, but with all my healing tech and potions knowledge, it wasn't really an issue.

Then I got a decent mote from the crafting skills constellation, Engineer. Veteran, like the other capstones, pushed Engineer further, and gave me a useful fiat effect. As long as I invested time into experimenting with something, I could find ways to upgrade it. This was most useful with SSS. In fact, my duplicates and I had been blitzing through upgrades to the base, me having just when I connected to a perk with resonance with Veteran and Engineer.

Titan Researcher.

This was something on the scale of my Chimera knowledge. I understood so much. Titans, their properties, how to make them, how to make the ingredients to make them, so so much…

It also came with two other tiny motes, all of which the first explained perfectly. First, I was suddenly an Eldian, meaning I also had access to Paths, which I understood the mechanics of.

"Uh… So…"

I let out a shaky breath and looked to the duplicates. "So same protocols as Chimera, this has its uses…"

"This is literally just making titans."

"No, we have paths. They run between all Eldian Souls. Right now we're the only Eldian, so we're the only co-ordinate, but theoretically with That Undefinable Thing…"

I nodded, a slight smile on my lips at the thought "Omniversal Transportation."

The first nodded "Paths defy time and space, they're seriously useful. But yeah… the rest of this knowledge can… lets just not touch it."

The second piped up "I mean the super-soldier shit is impressive, like total control of your entire body."

I shook my head, flicking the elegant red hair framing my face. Finding out Workaholic could trigger and triple my hair length in certain situations was not a fun discovery, it had allowed the duplicates to push their barber skills to the edge, and with all my longjevity and style perks, the hair remained looking good as if fixed by hairspray, and until it was modified again, it would stay that way. So the hair I flicked away fell right back into place. "The last upgrades were enough. Let's just finish the baseupgrades, then experiment with Paths."

I loved Engineer's fiat-upgrade ability. I just had to play a bit with the oven and boom! Of course, it used all my knowledge, no matter how ethical or feasable, so I had to remind myself that certain things were off the table. Of course, the idea of incorporating That Undefinable Thing to suck spiritual energy from me via paths, to enhance the food cooked as if by Elven Enchantment was interesting but absolutely ridiculous. Finding ways to remotely pour spiritual energy into things however, not a bad idea.

Engineer also had an interesting synnergy with The Arcane Craft, allowing me to find insights into the art as I experimented with it, which was the most useful element of it. It had slight reverse-engineering capabilities, to a degree I had to know what I was upgrading, and it was honestly among my greatest perks.

------

I glanced at the biological vault and sighed. It had to be biological, so it could contain an Eldian soul, which wasn't too hard to build. I looked at the health-potion in the vault, and sighed. One of the duplicates activated the mechanism and the health potion disintagrated into golden lighrning, sucked into the paths. A second later it appeared randomly midair, in the middle of the room and fell the to the ground. The only thing that saved it was the fact that I had created that glass.

I frowned "The hell?"

The other duplicates smiled, their mentality allowing them to put things together quickly "No, no! This makes sense… Where is our soul located?"

"What?"

The first smiled wider "Where is our soul located? We share the same soul, and it's not in super-position or anything."

"…Oh. Yeah it would be between all of us… It's a little off-center though..?"

"We programmed it to go to our hand, where would it be if we were standing there?"

"In my hand. How the fuck do we do this then?"

"Well you know with Transmutation we know there is Soul, Spirit, and body. The duplication potion seems to make extra spirits and bodies, so we're going to need to get the matter to pass through the spirit to the desired body."

"That's gonna be an amalgam of transmutation, paths, and cybertronian subdimensional physics, am I missing anything?"

"No. I think that's it. But since we need to connect to the spirit…"

"Implants or Tattoos, yeah, I know. Tattoo will be the best option."

"I get that you don't wanna fuck up your body, but if we do tattoos you ping and clap, or we can just have you ping. Just let us extend the implant a bit, much easier."

"We could incorporate electronics into the tattoo, to make it cycle automaticly."

"Then it's an implant."

I shuddered "…FINE."

"We'll be gentle, it's uncomfortable but we need to be smart about this."

"Yeah, yeah, I get it. Let's get this over with."

I layed down onto the divine surgery bed in the medical bay. For implants to connect to the spirit, they needed to connect to nerves, and that meant my existing implant was perfect. It was basically a transmutation cricle made from crystals that would reflect and refract in just the right way when light shone in. It wasn't actually that complicated. I then felt the first cut along my scalp.

------

I landed before Kaiser. "So, how does it feel to be the Gesellschaft's little bitch-boy?"

Kaiser would've spat any drink he was drinking, but he had none so he just froze, and I laughed. With a ping from my implant, golden lightning crashed down onto me, and flowed around my whole body, following my nerveous system. Large plates of metal and thick cords of wiring grew around me, and suddenly I was in my Nazi-Buster.

It was a special mode of my Motoroid made for heavy hitters, which the empire had in spades. The sheilds were omnidimensional mass effects that would stop all projectiles dead. I had a bunch of nonlethal and Celestial Bronze armaments, but I had a surprise for capes. A surgical laser that would relfect off their eyes and cut off the parts of their brain that connected to their passenger.

Kaiser was still frozen, but his lips managed to utter a single word. "Shit."

Cape Fashion (Knaka)
Time for another omake. Let's see how a somewhat forgotten character is doing.

XXX

Cape Fashion

Deputy Director Renick softly sighed as he sat at his desk in front of his computer screen. Once again, the bureaucracy of the PRT and Protectorate proved to be unstoppable, as despite the events of the last two weeks he once again had the unenviable task of reviewing the department's budget.

Perhaps he could take a vacation in a week or two. Goodness knows he has enough vacation leave stored up. Hopefully nothing important would happen around mid-May.

Pushing away those idle thoughts, Renick pulled up the preliminary budget proposal on his computer to review it. This proposal was much bigger than usual, with funding being needed to be allocated to cover the substantial cost of the ABB attacks. Even when limited to areas covered by the PRT, the cost was enormous. Property and equipment repairs and replacements, overtime pay, medical expenses, and even acquisition of a temporary headquarters for the Protectorate, as they weren't going to get the rig repaired anytime soon. They would need to obtain emergency funding to cover everything.

As Renick read over the proposal to check for errors, he noted that the funds allocated for imaging services was much higher than usual. Renick held back a smirk at that. Public relations and perception were always an important part of this job, but recently it seemed that a fashion war had erupted in Brockton. Perhaps this too could be traced to Aperion, but really, there was nothing wrong with a cape trying to look good. It's just that everyone else decided to step up their game in response. Pretty much every established cape in Brockton, with the exception of the Merchants, had updated their costumes. The Protectorate couldn't afford to be left behind on this. It may seem silly, but image for the Protectorate was important. If the public saw that Protectorate capes looked more impressive than the vilians, they would subconsciously believe that the Protectorate had more resources and would think they could trust them to keep the public safe. The opposite was true as well.

Renick pulled up a proposal from a local rouge cape that the PR department had contracted. He had to admit, the concept sketches looked good. Chambers from PR had asked for concept sketches for the wards, and they had received a proposal for a new set of outfits. Each ward had the same base outfit, signaling that they were on the same team, yet each costume had personalized touches for each individual member. There were also optional accessories for each costume, both practical and aesthetic, that would allow them to be personalized for the situation. From the rumors he heard, Chambers was trying to get new designs for every Protectorate branch in New England.

That would possibly lead to a fashion war throughout the region, but that was also none of Renick's concern. He forwarded the approved budget draft, hoping that the next few weeks would be somewhat peaceful.

Brockton Bay's Unwritten Rules

►Clockblocker (Ward, Verified Cape)
Well... Looks like Brockton Bay has a new set of unwritten rules:
1. Don't piss off Apeiron.
Seriously, don't. Apeiron isn't shooting lasers from his eyes when angry (yet), but his anger is literally physical.
2. Don't look for Apeiron's lab.
Please, don't. BB is not in a good shape, it won't survive The Lab.
3. Respect your Contracts
See point 1.
4. If you see a crime going, turn on some epic music, point the camera at the crime scene and start recording. Enjoy the show! Additional points for stage lighting.
May the Apeiron summoning ritual Commence!!!

P.S. for those who did not get it: 4 is a 100% joke. In case of 4 call police and stay safe.

►Tinker Hoarder (Wiki Warrior)
>Don't look for Apeiron's lab
Seriously? If it's such a risk shouldn't it be disabled before it becomes even more dangerous?

►Clockblocker (Ward, Verified Cape)
>If it's such a risk shouldn't it be disabled before it becomes even more dangerous?
According to Dragon, the blackout zone is due to 'Blackout Particle', produced by a reactor in that Huge Combat Robot.
Current state of the shore is because of some 'personal portable power sources' blowing up
Now scale those 'personal portable power sources' and 'Blackout Reactor' to the size of the lab that at minimum can service the Huge Combat Robot. Fill the lab up with 'I deny your existence' ammo, exotic elements, robots.
Now blow it up! And this is what he likely has now.
Finding his lab, scouting it and attacking will take weeks at best, but more conservative estimate indicate 2 to 3 month. Weeks of nearly unimpeded progress from our resident S Class Mad Scientist.

►Tinker Hoarder (Wiki Warrior)
>Weeks of nearly unimpeded progress from our resident S Class Mad Scientist.
I withdraw my objection...

►ViciousKitten
>Huge Combat Robot
Isn't that from some other tinker? That's totally not Apeiron's style.

►Clockblocker (Ward, Verified Cape)
For some reason everybody is convinced it's Apeiron's.
Even if it isn't, it is either a collaboration project or we have two Labs we desperately don't want to explode.

HOLLY ****!
It works! video

"What did happen to this city's crime rate, morals and common sense?" Bemoaned Joe "I can't go out grocery shopping without running into a couple muggings. And each damn time bystanders are recording and playing music to accompany the crime! What did happen to this city?!! I even ran into a store robbery on the way here! I probably should set something up to cull crime rate a bit. This is ridiculous!"

"Should we tell him about existence of the Apeiron Summoning App?" Taylor asked once Joe left. "That last bit sounded really concerning."

"Don't!" quickly denied Alec "I want to see how it ends."

"I heard it even works in Boston now." informed the group Brian "He was there under a contract for healing some local case 53s and now App works there as well. Makes me wonder what will give first, crime rate or Joe."

"Normally answer will be obvious, crime is eternal, but this is Joe we are talking about." said Taylor while looking at Lisa with a complicated expression "Um... Lisa, may be you should stop tearing out your own hair."

"I don't know!" Lisa complained "How is it possible?!! He's even stopping crimes in multiple locations at the same damn time! The net is full of videos and memes, some criminals start running at any sign of epic music. Whole world believes Joe runs some kind of city-scale monitoring to react to specific circumstances. Yet Joe remains absolutely oblivious that people figured out an absolutely silly way to summon him and despite all reason it actually works! And it all somehow started with one idiot joking and another trying that joke out..."

"Actually," said Brian thoughtfully "I feel a bit sorry for Clockblocker."

"Why?" wondered Taylor

"Piggott benched him for giving Apeiron ideas" Brian made a pause "till Summoning stops working."

"Means we aren't going to see him for a while" considered Rachel "if ever."

"Not that Joe left him any work to do." noted Taylor "Streets are surprisingly safe nowadays."

"Did someone just Pray to me to be saved?" exclaimed Joe "And where did all that Mantra come from?"

"We really should have stopped that while we could..." tiredly sighted out Taylor "may be it isn't too late to fix? May be if we tell Joe, he will manage to convince his cultists that he isn't a saint, divine being, god or whatever label they decided to apply?"

"We tell him - it either changes nothing, since he is too powerful for cults to stop, nor is he going to stop helping. Or he finds a way to escalate in his usual fashion... I would rather not risk that. We don't tell him - it stays at current level." answered Brian "At least there is no way for it to escalate any more as is. And I'm sure that if we don't tell him, he won't learn about it. Joe's ability to stay genuinely ignorant of some things is ridiculous."

"He visited Aleph two days ago," informed Lisa "to rest a bit from Bet's bullshit and to deliver some dimensionally displaced kids back home. Today Aleph's representatives inquired about Apeiron's preference in music."

"****" summed up the situation Taylor.

PHO Omake (FirstPhilosopher)
I lost my muse for the 'Dadperion Youth Group Omake' I was planning. (It died along with my 20 year old cat, Lump will be missed) so here is a small PHO Omake.
------------

Analysisfreak:
He is obviously related to Leet/Lung. Think about it: he can make anything, but he sarts off shitty and escalates, especially during combat. That's why he has been upgrading so fast, each time he fights his tinker power escalates and he can now make better (and better looking) shit than before.

OdinGlory:
Faaaake! This looks like a bad Chink martial art movie.

Legs_4_days:
@Analysisfreak

No no, he is obviously more of a Dauntless/(anti-)Squealer, Dauntless builds up over time and can permanently affect objects right? Didn't Armsmaster at first think he was a Shaker? I doubt that our Hero would make a mistake like that. But if you combine his Shaker effects to his (anti-Squealer) Tinker ability? Poof, you get someone who can make super-tinkertech and can be like '3 days ago tech didn't have as many charges, it's obviously useless'

OdinGlory:
See how scripted this is? It's basically impossible for him to look like that.

@Legs_4_days @Analysisfreak

I'd like to expand on your theories and say that it is possible that, if he does have them then his 'charges' may fade over time. That would make 3 day old tech effectively useless if his Shaker power wears off. This would also make sense for why in each of his appearances he has had a different outfits (including his appearance in the hospital with Panacea, the original post was deleted, so here it is from my personal archives: LINK). Since we have seen an escalation in capabilities for each encounter I would like to combine your theories that his powers do indeed improve during conflict. (see my cape-conflict analysis, which shows that there is heavy link of cape's powers becoming more effective during/after a major conflict, especially Endbringer fights here: LINK)

ClockSalker:
So he's the product of a foursome with Squealer as the only girl? Bow-chicka-wow-wow!

Legs_4_days:
@ClockSalker Ewww no. Don't sexualize everything!

OdinGlory:
Look at him lying there, trajicly defeated in his own blood while the ABB gloat on film. No one else does this ever except Uber and Leet. How is no-one noticing that THIS IS ALL FAKE! IT"S ACTING! WAKE UP SHEEPLE!

Investigator (Verified Cape)
@Legs_4_days @ClockSalker

I would like say that this point has already been covered (please see my analysis of multiple family and friend capes who were not blood related triggering with similar powers: LINK). Even if Apeiron triggered with powers related to the powers of the above mentioned Capes, that does not necessarily mean that he is blood related to him, or have to be their children. He could simply be close to them frequently enough (further data is needed on whether physical proximity or emotional connections are necessary). Also I know I'm skirting the line here so I'd like to remind people that we should not speculate on Apeiron's or any Cape's identity here, even if it would further corroborate the current circumstantial evidence.

Analysisfreak:
Oh yeah @Investigator ? Well even Thinkers can be wrong sometimes. See we have Panacea who was adopted into New Wave, but her powers are nothing like the rest of the family, you should really look at evidence before pushing Thinker based theories like that.

OdinGlory:
Seriously? No one? This whole thing is just a big preactical joke, but with lives on the line. I hope Kaiser kills them all and we can be done with all this fake movie shit.

Legs_4_days:
@Analysisfreak ... um did you even look at the links provided? He has like 30 cases of people triggering with related power who were known to not be blood related to the people the powers were related to.

WhoDIS:
Also, is it possible he's related to Gallant? He watching this has totally been affecting my emotions. You can *feel* the rage flowing off of him. Sounds like Tinker of emotions to me.

EDIT: added last post by WhoDIS.

Scruffy Tail (FirstPhilosopher)
I'm practicing writing so that hopefully I can write my own story. Unfortunately just something that's 600 words is super hard for me. But here you go. Mini-Omake time again!

Joe paused a bit as he got his latest connection to the Knowledge constellation. It was called Technomage and it was primarily related to a specific piece of equipment called a striker, how to build, repair, maintain and even modify them with other technology. That last bit was a bit important as it seemed that the striker was stuck at 1940s tech level and could definitely use some enhancements. Strikers were going to be awesome once he incorporated them into his motoriod, they had magic engines in them which would grant him the powers of high speed flight, increased physical abilities, and the ability to raise defensive shields. And he could make engines more than four orders of magnitude as powerful as a 1940s engine.

Then he noticed his scruffy tail.

He double checked that he had not activated his Zoanthropic form, then switched it on and back off. That was when he noticed something, he had something more... something like an extra soul hidden inside of his, and this was not a human soul but one of those saber-toothed-wolf-dinosaurs, a simple and powerful predator. And he was currently channeling magic through it. He dropped the magic and felt his tail and ears (ears?) fade finally.

Okay, now that he wasn't freaking out about physical changes he could concentrate on the new powers that the Forge had given him and why it seemed like he had a vicious little monster sleeping in his soul. Technomage had come with a few bonus perks in addition to the whole 'can make/upgrade strikers' he got a perk called Defensive Sign "Directional Shield" which allowed him to destroy his enemies while they cowered in fear of his mighty magical shield. Also he could not shoot through the shield. Now this was a spell, an actual spell that he actually knew. Finally he could better use his meager magical abilities... though how much use would it be for him. He only really needed protection from annihilator effects, but with how his power considered para-human powers to be magic... he still wasn't expecting much.

Back to the soul thing, strikers were made for witches (who were female) who had 'familiars' (the souls of animals) inside of them which let them do magic. Also as a witch gets older their power wanes as they get older, by the age of 20 the vast majority of witches are unfit for action. For some reason not only was he a male witch, but he still seemed to have quite a bit of power for someone way past his magical prime. Huh, mysteries of the forge.

He also got a bonus called 'Bomber Jacket' and he decided to go take a look. He found the locker with a bunch of war posters on it, inside he found something that made him feel... something, he wasn't sure what it made him feel but it was heavy. The bomber jacket was a military jacket designed for Josephine Duris Flight Lieutenant, 501st Joint Fighter Wing. It had a little emblem under it which said 'HUMANITY STANDS OR FALLS TOGETHER', which did all sorts of things to his belly as he imagined a world where this was needed.

He sat down with his back to the wall holding the coat for one Josephine Duris. The worst part, apart from the whole genderswapp (hah, like that mattered) or even the fact that it sounded like that world was on the brink of destruction?

No, the thing that burned his blood... The most damning thing of it was...

The coat of a military officer, one with 2 purple hearts and several other medals on it, was sized for a 10 year old child.

The Nanny (andreykl)
Staff Notice: This is borderline sexualization of a minor and is not acceptable on SV
I removed this post (OMAK) due to it being borderline violation of SV rules. Since I'm not sure how to remake it while stayng true to Apeiron's masterwork abilities, growth+humor aspect and Tenchi-spirit, I probably will move it to appropriate sections of other forums or discord instead.

Sorry for inconvenience and for making anyone uncomfortable. In my defence: I have no idea how the post was a sexualization, I got the staff notice, but just can't connect the dots. Will try to avoid topics of children in general to be on safe side.

For some reason I don't have an option to delete the post.
@LordRoustabout, please, remove the treadmark and sorry for inconvinience.
