I always just assumed she was an early bloomer.Pretty much. Asuka is confident she'll only get more... impressive, and loves to flaunt it already. That it turns Shinji's brain off is icing on the cake. She's very much looking forward to what she'll look like at 19. And so is Shinji.
So she's expecting her Untermensch to turn nto an Übermensch...
I now have the headcanon that Shinji is weedy as fuck when he grows up properly - and that Asuka is more or less done with development, only developing a little more if at all. Basically, the two only get taller from now on. For lulz.

But, then again, we saw Rei get a lot bigger in the series itself... if you catch my drift.
Seems to fit with the way Gainax usually depicts their older selves. If anything, even getting much taller isn't going to happen.

I'm surprised Anima hasn't been properly translated yet, out of all the spinoffs there have been that one seemed prime fodder for it!
