Has it been confirmed in-story that Yui's dna was used to make Rei? I remember there being a story where Dr Akagi's mother swapped out the DNA sample used to make Rei with her own in an attempt to babytrap Gendo.

Apologies for the delay. Friday's update became Saturday's became Sunday's.... and then the Exalted Megathread turned into a kindergarten, and I spent all evening straightening that out. Update tomorrow, one way or another. I've got 3000 words ready to go, but want one more scene, but I haven't been able to write for days due to one thing after another.

Alright, as a nibble for the people debating shipping and such, a small bit of info: Despite the discovery-improvised habit I have in writing of letting things surprise me, the various end fates of the Children are not among them. Who lives, dies, and how everyone ends up was all laid out when I planned A&T 2 years ago, and we have not sailed off from that. Yet. Maybe.
