The problem with working for NERV: You have no way to know if she's lying and everything you do to try and figure it out is likely to make things worse.

Akagi: If I shot him Gendo will know I'm not lying about hating him. Though Maya might object to hiding the body.

Well if by experimental subject she means "cuddle bug," maybe. She seams a bit confused on that point.

But in all seriousness, one or two every day or so doesn't seem like a big deal. Maybe bad repeat offenders, but I'm pretty sure that was my very first one.

It's fine, Lord of Bays. We're far from excessive. I'm glad my little snippet can produce such an emotional hit. And Rei can't even explain why she's laughing to Asuka right now, lest she endanger someone she loves, who doesn't have a tank full of clones on hand.

Arg. Busy day of dull briefings, and I may have full days for part of this week, but I'll try to get some scenes down and posted before I fly to Kuwait Friday. I have at least one Asuka-Misato scene planned, possibly one involving the Rainbow Trout, and... I literally just thought of a scene for Ritsuko and Maya that will probably make some of you laugh.

And... hm... Another idea! Kaji was rather obviously stuck in the elevator with Misato when SEELE staged that little blackout before and during Matarael's attack, so he obviously isn't the only mole SEELE had in NERV. Someone had to give the JSSDF the access codes that let them slip their ninjas in the security gates so easily, for example. So there's other SEELE operatives about, who might stumble across things people don't want known...

Please tell me that he won't report Asuka and Shinji's improving mental health, that path could lead to them planning to break them to deny Gendo his pawns when they choose to take over Nerv.
 
And while we know that the Children's mental state is pivotally important, do you think that's the sort of thing that SEELE and Gendo are really worried about fencing over?
