The number of pages this thread has gone on for has just reached the year I was born.

Same for me with the current page. 1997 is also the year End of Evangelion came out... and I'm only now realizing that even the movie is older than me. :p

I'm the same age as the Neon Genesis Evangelion series
I still got a few years on the latter, and the former hit mine a while ago. Heck, I'm older then the original Eva. ...Damn i feel old.

Funnily enough, 1997 would roughly have been the 30th anniversary of the never-made film Batman Meets Godzilla.
... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...A part of me is trying to not have a complete and total nerdgasm from that cause i really want that to be made, while another part is pretty much ripping me apart trying to figure out how the movie would work? Like, is Batman going to fight Godzilla? Are they going to have a common enemy? ...How is Godzilla even going to get to Gotham(...that's how you spell it right?); there's no oceans for him to swim from Japan to said city.

Bruce Wayne is visiting the new offices in Tokyo when Godzilla shows up. Hijinks Ensue.

Hopefully this should sate your curiosity:
Batman Meets Godzilla

And if you want to see an even better take on this unrealized story:
Batman Meets Godzilla, the comic!

The talk about Batman Meets Godzilla made me remember that they made "Unit 01 Godzilla" and "Unit 02 Godzilla" figures some time ago.

Don't know if this was evwr mentioned before or not considering it's Eva.

Leaving aside the "Bruce is on a business trip to Tokyo" angle, all oceans are connected via open water in the southern hemisphere, and Gotham City is a working port on the Atlantic Ocean.
...Well that explains the "how Godzilla gets too Batman(or vise-versa) " i still need combat and plot.

I'll give this a read; hopefully it will tell me the plot and how combat would work(like is Batman going to fight Godzilla? While i do enjoy the thought of The Goddamn Batman fighting and taking down a giant radioactive lizard, Godzilla is...well a giant, radioactive lizard. And if they are going to team up instead again how would they? Is Godzilla gonna dress up as Robin and be the new Boy Wonder?).

Wayne Enterprises is developing/testing/studying a MacGuffin that sends a signal that attracts Godzilla. Our favourite lizard rampages around Tokyo for a bit before the MacGuffin is deactivated and Godzilla retreats.

Batman shows up, investigates a bit, finds some clues about the MacGuffin that shouldn't exist, but has to help drive back Godzilla after the creature returns, interrupting his investigation.

Turns out, an executive is using the deivice to bring King Ghidora in an effort to rid Earth of Metahumans and Godzilla was trying to destroy it before the Demon arrived.

Godzilla gets his ass kicked for a while before Batman figures out how to make the device give our lizard a power-up.

With the threat eliminated, Godzilla returns to the sea as Batman watches, vowing to find a way to keep the Destructive Saviour in check.
