I had a 2005 Corolla, it was a beautiful machine. The kind of car that Roger Taylor would write about.

However, when pitted in battle against an F350 modded to high heavens (half of them illegal*) driven by somebody under the influence on black ice? Yeah, the Toyota lost.

I say "illegal" because roll cages and ram bars are barely legal on cop cars, never mind a civilian truck. Then there's the racing mods, none of which were street legal (and I think the ones that were came from Wal-mart, but that's beside the point

YEEEES ANOTHER CHRONICLES.
And they are now at the halfway point!
Wait is the new OP starts from ep 13 or 14? I forget... Either way! They better not skip it!

E: "Imagine if Satsuki and Ryuko got together."

Don't mind me. Just ominously saving this for posterity. :V

Anyways...as for my thoughts on their reactions to the eps themselves...
My thoughts can be summed up in two ways:

"MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA."
"Oh I can't wait to see them see the rest."

So unfortunately I don't got much to say on that front.

As for the stuff with Kaworu and the Pine commanders. Yeah it went about as I expected, specifically with Derek. Yomiko not so much but mostly because I admittedly forgot about her. :V
And also going to jokingly (but maybe regrettingly) guess that this Yomiko IS from the MFE universe because WHY NOT?! I ALREADY DID IT IN SPE MIGHT AS WELL SEE IF I CAN MAKE THIS A RUNNING GAG. :V

As for the author's notes and polls...

On the KLK side of things what the hell Trigger? FFS this is the 2nd time they completely pulled the rug out in as many works we've seen, but hey at least they did it at the midway and not a few episodes away from the end, so there's that at least.
You bet I had fun with Zero Two noticing this pattern :V
And yeah, it really should've been obvious that the strange cute character was the big bad all along (much to Asuka's distain :V). She's such an interloper in this story so far it was the only thing that made sense.
It really is a Trigger thing to sweep up the rug, ain't it? :V
The next block of episodes will really be interesting then, I don't really know what to think of what will happen now. We'll wait and see :)

Don't mind me. Just also ominously saving these for posterity. :V

On another note, I'm interested in getting some art of Chronicles made up, if any y'all have any ideas of what would make good art from Chronicles hit me up with your moments!

Battle pieces: Zero-Two & Hiro vs Clockiel

Emotional pieces:
Mari giving Kaworu her energy/whatever to survive
Zero-Two and Hiro's reunion

Funny pieces:
The bewildered looks on the cast's faces when they're reading MFE
Ritsuko's disgruntled look after getting hit with Portal
Kyubey in the battle simulation being destroyed in multiple (and maybe either exaggerated and/or comical) ways by the Pilots

Aaand that's all I got off the top of my head. I can probably think of more if I, well, think on it. :V

Meanwhile the polls went about how I expected. Including Blue Sky unfortunately... DAMN IT. Okay mostly. A Crown of Stars losing is one of the things that surprised about too. Other than that...yeah that's all I gotta say.

As before, read most of this on my phone (hell of a thing to wake up and have breakfast with :p), but it was fun as usual and there was one thing that stood out to me even when I wasn't actively quote-taking:

E: "Imagine if Satsuki and Ryuko got together."
H: "It'd be a very vibrant one."
Z: "Violent as well, if this is anything to go like."
Hmm.

I'm... I'm just gonna, uh...

Don't mind me. Just ominously saving this for posterity. :V
This. Yes, this.

Anyway, on to the vote!

SEED 110:
ANIME: Gun X Sword (Long Form): 19.2%
MANGA: Neon Genesis Evangelion (Long Form): 80.8%
Comment: He traces the steps he once took :V
Pretty much a given that anything significantly Eva-centric is going to win most votes at this point. :p

SEED 113:
ANIME: SSSS.Gridman (Short Form): 56.2%

ANIME: Eureka 7 (Long Form): 43.8%
Comment: I wonder if the adults will realise SSSS.Gridman is an adaptation of the Gridman from the 90s :V
More Trigger's never a bad thing. Never watched this, personally, but i've heard good things and I think its getting a follow-up.

SEED 114:
ANIME: .hack//Sign (Long Form): 41.1%
ANIME: Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt (Short Form): 58.9%
Comment: Lewdness triumphs again!
As is its want. :p

SEED 115:
ONLINE VIDEO: DITF in 10 Minutes (Short Form): 38.4%
MOVIE: Ratatouille (Short Form): 61.6%
Comment: Sorry Gigguk but Pixar got the one up on you this time :V
SEED 127:
ANIMATED MOVIE: The Incredibles(Short Form): 80.8%

ANIME: High School DxD (Long Form): 19.2%
Comment: The dominance of Pixar continues :V
Perhaps the only thing capable of beating Eva in the polls. Or anything, for that matter. :D
Not that i'm complaining. Incredibles is a great movie (as is its sequel), and Ratatouille is also a lot of fun.

SEED 117:
ONLINE VIDEO: EvAbridged (Short Form): 41.1%
LN: NGE Anima (Long Form): 58.9%
Comment: Looking back on EvAbridged you can tell it was made in the early 10s :V
Hoo boy... This is going to be a trip...

SEED 118:
M/V: Shelter (Madeon + Porter Robinson) (Short Form): 30.1%
MOVIE: Mazinger Z: Infinity (ShortForm): 69.9%
Comment: nice
Maybe for the numbers, but on the inside i'm crying. :p

SEED 119:
ANIME: The Master of Ragnarok and Blesser of Einherjar (Short Form): 49.3%
MOVIES: MCU (to end of Phase 3) (Long Form): 50.7%
Comment: Thank you Lord Almighty for blessing me with the above result :V
The Infinity Saga is a must watch, as far as i'm concerned, so this will be fun if it makes it all the way. :)

SEED 121:
VIDEO GAME: Halo CE (Long Form): 32.9%
FANFIC (Dr Who X-Over): Shinji & The Doctor (Long Form): 67.1%
Comment: Certainly an interesting idea for a crossover.
It is. Also a brilliant fic, though i'm still interested to see the final handling of how the group react to the Doctor Who side of it. :p
Especially given the fic isn't done.

SEED 122:
WESTERN ANI: Gravity Falls (Long Form): 50.7%

VIDEO GAME: Suikoden (Long Form): 49.3%
Comment: Really close this one, but I think y'all made the right decision :V
I'm really quite surprised by the final result, actually. With GF being a standing part of the Chronicles meta-lore, i'd think it'd get more support.

SEED 126:
MOVIES: The Matrix Trilogy (ShortForm): 71.2%

ANIME: Angel Beats! (Short Form): 28.8%
Comment: There would be a phone book of complaints courtesy of Ritsuko Akagi if Matrix gets in :V
To be fair, only the first one exists in the Chronicles world, so at least she'll have new material to work with. :p
Also, would this remain the classic trilogy at this point or be the full quadrilogy?

SEED 129:
ANIMATED MOVIE: Wreck-It Ralph (Short Form): 54.8%

ANIME: Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure (Short Form): 45.2%
Comment: I don't mind these one-shot animated movies getting in cause they make for a quick Chronicles :V
One of my favourite animated movies from when I was younger. Always a good shout, despite a questionable sequel.

SEED 133:
MOVIE: Promare (Short Form): 23.3%
MOVIE: Shin Godzilla (Short Form): 76.7%
Comment: As we may be getting more of the Shin universe from Anno, this will be a good way to get started with it :V
Only just twigged from this comment that Anno's basically doing the exact same thing with Shin Godzilla that Legendary ended up doing with Godzilla '14 in turning it into a shared setting only after the original film's released. :p

SEED 134:
ONLINE VIDEO: RWBY (Long Form): 38.4%
ANIME: Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (Short Form): 61.6%
Comment: Hopefully Nanoha will treat their characters better than Madoka did :V
*sad Wixelt noises*

Ah well, there's always next time.

SEED 135:
ANIMATED MOVIE: Big Hero 6 (ShortForm): 43.8%
FANFIC: Advice and Trust (Long Form): 56.2%
Comment: We're getting ever closer and closer to the universe folding in on itself that will happen if we somehow get A&T on the cards :V
Was something of a given as a result, though the margin here's also smaller than I was expecting. Question is, though, will this wait til the fic is done, or will the final pages of the book be inexplicably torn out. :p

SEED 137:
ANIME: Log Horizon (Long Form): 35.6%
ANIME: Little Witch Academia (Long Form): 64.4%
Comment: I've heard good wholesome things about LWA so hopefully the cast enjoy it :V
As a fan of both of these, i'm both excited and disappointed, but honestly LWA is my preference by miles. The wholesome is just too much. :p

SEED 140:
FANFIC (Portal 2): Blue Sky (Long Form): 15.1%
MOVIES: The Dark Knight Trilogy (Short Form): 84.9%
Comment: Almost like this is an Evangelion thing or something... :V
It's considered one of the best adaptations of Batman ever put to camera for a reason. :D

SEED 141:
ANIME: School Days (Short Form): 54.8%

VIDEO GAME: Antichamber (Short Form): 45.2%
Comment: In this thread we obey the laws of physics! Yes I know that's rich coming from Evangelion :p
Curses! So much for Auntie Leliel's Wild Ride, huh? :p

Not really reading these chronicles yet because I haven't watched Kill la Kill nor have I chosen a time to watch, so I will mostly comment on the polls:

SEED 116:
ANIME: Fate/Stay Night: UBW and Zero (Long Form): 75.3%

VIDEO GAME: Final Fantasy X (Long Form): 24.7%
Comment: Fate lives another day!

SEED 123:
MOVIE: Mad Max: Fury Road (Short Form): 34.2%
ANIME: Code Geass + R2 (Long Form): 65.8%
Comment: A shame we won't see Fury Road, would've been good to see more of Bond's Australia :V

SEED 124:
VIDEO GAME: Final Fantasy 7 Remake (Long Form): 23.3%
ANIME: Cowboy Bebop (Long Form): 76.7%
Comment: Yeah figures that :V

Comment: Once more depression triumphs over joy!

SEED 134:
ONLINE VIDEO: RWBY (Long Form): 38.4%
ANIME: Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (Short Form): 61.6%
Comment: Hopefully Nanoha will treat their characters better than Madoka did :V

SEED 138:
FANFIC: A&T: Inheritance (Short Form): 34.2%
MOVIES: The Terminator + Terminator 2 (Short Form): 65.8%
Comment: Sorry Matt but Eliza's nightmares (or dreams) triumph today :V

SEED 116: We are that closer to introducing Nasuverse awesomeness and weirdness to the world of Chronicles! Oh, this is going to be great!

SEED 123: And Code Geass crazyness, goofiness and fanservice! That will be a treat to watch!

SEED 124: I'm disappointed they won't see FFVII Remake, but Cowboy Bebop sounds like fun. (I've never atually watched the show though, but I know it's a masterpiece. I am, however, very surprised at the difference in voting. I thought it would be a closer deal!

SEED 131: I am disappointed Martian Successor Nadesico lost, and quite surprised. It is a weird but very fun piece of Mecha anime I'm sure they would've enjoyed.

SEED 134: Don't worry about that, Nanoha has a REPUTATION for a reason. I think I saw them described as "Gundams in magical girl skirts" a few times? Or was the expression "Gundam as magical girls"? I remember the Gundam part was important.

SEED 138: This one however really disappointed me, they already have the Terminator movies in their world, why choose them over the A&T Inheritance omakes? This really confounds me.

Blast, i was hoping they'd get a different kind of suffering. Though by the looks of it it was a coin toss.

SEED 125:
DOUJIN (PMMM): Maitake's Madokano Series (Long Form?): 34.2%
DOUJIN: Evangelion 303 (Long Form): 65.8%
Comment: I didn't realise until recently but Evangelion 303 can actually get pretty raunchy at times, and I don't think there's an 'all ages' version like there was with RE-TAKE so that will be interesting for the gang to witness :p

1) What @AurelioBahamutsaid. 2) While i am sorry for @Wixeltand the other RWBY fans who wanted it, i prefer this as i can't help but think Nanoha needs more love. I can't tell you the last time I've heard of a good Nanoha fic, or even heard of Nanoha mentioned in general.

In before the thread page count exceeds 1995, a year made rather interesting courtesy of a Mr. Anno...

Notable events of 1995 (at least as far as Japan is concerned):

- The Great Hanshin Earthquake
- The United Kingdom's oldest investment banking firm, Barings Bank, collapses after a securities broker lost $1.4 billion by speculating on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
- Aum Shinrikyo committed the Sarin gas attacks in Tokyo's subways. Their leader, Shoko Asahara, was arrested within the same year.
- Sony released the PlayStation. :V
- oh and some show called New Creation Good News debuted, I guess

/and there were lots of other notable events worldwide, like the formal end of the Bosnian War

And as the tour bus reaches the next page all ye A&T cohorts, bear in mind '96 was Gonzo's Digimon which set the standard for
making rather profound NGE pop culture references...

But I entrust the topic will shortly return to the present matter before us... I hope Maya doesn't walk in on them.

More Trigger's never a bad thing. Never watched this, personally, but i've heard good things and I think its getting a follow-up.

It already has a follow-up, SSSS. Dynazenon, though it's not a direct one. Dynazenon X Gridman tho probably is but I don't know anything beyond that.

The Infinity Saga is a must watch, as far as i'm concerned, so this will be fun if it makes it all the way. :)

And slowly getting closer to seeing Chronicles watch WandaVision and Loki...

It's considered one of the best adaptations of Batman ever put to camera for a reason. :D

i know. still wished blue sky won. :V

SEED 116: We are that closer to introducing Nasuverse awesomeness and weirdness to the world of Chronicles! Oh, this is going to be great!

...

MUST.
RESIST.
TALKING ABOUT DIGIMON GHOST GAME.
BECAUSE IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS THREAD.
NNNNNGGGGHHHH.

Oh wait! There IS something that is somewhat related to this thread!

View: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IcXMeMDUFP4
Jellymon, one of the partner Digimon for the main characters, likes calling her partner, Kiyoshiro, "darling", and yes I keep thinking of Zero-Two everytime she says that. :V
Also the fact that Kiyoshiro has already passed graduate school even though he's 14, aka is a "young genius", but is openly a coward and superstitious while his Digimon partner's the a bossy and sassy Jellymon makes me wonder what Asuka would think of him and Jellymon.
Or their relationship in general.
Or what anyone of Chronicles/A&T would think of Kiyoshiro's and Jellymon's relationship. :V

ok gonna stop now before i go ramble about ghost game...

Hmm.

I'm... I'm just gonna, uh...

Don't mind me. Just ominously saving this for posterity. :V

Talking about it like that is going to make BG suspicious about it - that could be... unideal?

Their leader, Shoko Asahara, was arrested within the same year.

Interesting fact of the day: this POS was sentenced in 2004 - and was only executed in 2018. IIRC, they don't actually tell you when you're going to die until like an hour before you're hanged, or something like that, so this bastard spent 14 years not knowing if it any given day would be his last. I hope he suffered.

Given that Yomiko Nagisa originated from Mobile Fighter Evangelion, where she was not only Kaworu's twin, but was the nephilim vessel for...Zeruel, I would upgrade that 'possibly' to 'with 99.99% certainty'. :V
Is the Chronicles going to have a Reformed Angel support group?
In before the thread page count exceeds 1995, a year made rather interesting courtesy of a Mr. Anno...
I am more concerned with it getting to 2022.

Late and not really much to add so just

Certainly a surprise (especially by that margin), but can't say I'd complain (sorry Stryp) :p

Hmm.

I'm... I'm just gonna, uh...
I mean... even without looking it up, I'd imagine that it's still popular despite (or because)...

Is the Chronicles going to have a Reformed Angel support group?
Hm, didn't Z fade away? So probably not, unless it's another Angel or she's actually from MPE (or another rift version).

@JimmyWolk Wait a minute, aren't you the guy who made the 2nd Try fanfic with the adorable bundle of energy known as Aki?

Also, can someone bring me up to speed? I'm a little lost on what's being discussed here.

As the man himself said, yes it is indeed him.

As for that...

Well the latest Chronicles was put up so thus there are reactions to it and the poll for Chronciles.
Then noteworthy events in Japan during 1995 was mentioned because of the page count being 1995.
Then someone's birthday came up and another user wished them well.
And then I went on memory lane because of the video they used.
And now we have you asking about what just happened.
Well I just only mentioned this page mainly.

Shinji: Try here. Stop.

Asuka: What the hell am I looking at? Where does this happen in the story?

S: Now. You're looking at now, dear. Everything that happens now, is happening now.

A: What happened to then?

S: We passed then.

Rebuild!Shinji: We passed then a while ago.

R!Asuka: Yeah.

A: What the hell? How did you get here?

R!S: *shrugs* Good question. Probably time loops.

Mariah: Time Slinkys!

Likewise BG from the past! Let's goooo!

"First."

"Stupid Fish?"

"Did you know that sound DUO made can be found at r/animenocontext?"

"Sigh. Fish-kun, your foreknowledge of Lilim-society as it might have endured parallel to our own continues to surpass even the Three Magi."

"You are too kind."

"Foreknowledge is all it be. We both know that C'ville quickly gave up on shaping the post-Y2K Internet on account of being under a Batillus-class length of water."

"...That's a lot of swimming pools, yes?"

"Six and a half million swimming pools."

"Let us go and swim in all of them."
