Asuka: "She mentioned she might play Ultramarines. [...] We compromised by having her play Angry Marines."

What, not Orks? For old fics' sake?:lol

On a more serious note, Legion of the Damned seems right up her alley. Not entirely human anymore, but remain entirely loyal to humanity, and use their unearthly powers to show up in the nick of time and save the day, no matter where or when? Seems like she could see the appeal...

Then again, they're hard to field as an army unto themselves. Subdivision of her Angry Marines army, perhaps?

EDIT: Alternately, a quartet of Imperial Knights with very familiar paint schemes...

Well, seeing as Rei is pretty much a member of FAR, wouldn't Eldar fit most to her?

Same with Kaworu, of course... but then his entire behaviour screams "Eldar". Well, his canon behaviour, anyway. Not the comical version of A&T :p

Orky Rei is best Rei. Oh god Emperor, I was really liking Shinji and 40k, why did the writer pansy the fuck out and not finish it? I will never let that happen with Sovereignty, I've put in too much bloody effort already...

(Sniffles) Waaagh... (headbutt)
To be honest, I started hating it when we got to the point of it no longer being "Shinji being both funny and bad-ass because he has Warhammer 40k on the brain (literally)" and suddenly became "Warhammer 40k as presented by Neon Genesis Evangelion".

It lost me when they dropped all subtlety and went for straight Jesus Symbolism (I'm looking at you, "walking on water via applied NMB-field" scene!) over NGE's (comparative) subtlety (hand trauma... so much hand trauma).

Yeah... same honestly, I preferred Mobile Fighter Evangelion to that one...

Something I find obnoxious on TvTropes is that entire fan work folders on the example page for a trope will JUST be NGE fics, but not even bothering to tell you it's NGE or separate it into its own folder.

At times you can even encounter something along the lines "it's in canon and didn't go anywhere, so surely this is a good example for the fan works section!".

It's either NGE or MLP, with the latter being much more prevalent. Seriously, what's all the pony fanfic? People are sick.

I have a feeling Strypgia and I have both benefitted from that; someone has gone to a lot of trouble to squeeze mentions of our fics into as many trope pages as possible, even if they have to really stretch them to do so.

I dare say it's gained some page hits for us, but I can see why people not in the fandom would find it annoying.

I found it through the Random button. :lol

But that's just the nature of the fandoms, some do a really good work of documenting the fanworks. Or just their presence in TvTropes.
