I'm still not entirely convinced it isn't, or something similarly innocent. Mostly convinced, yes. But especially at the lighter end of the spectrum of fiction, it is never completely safe to write off this kind of possibility. It's a rare author indeed that doesn't love trolling the reader base.

Yeah, that is infurating. We get bit by the new forced update/reboots at work. Sure, we don't mind if the PC controlling critical hardware decides to reboot all by itself. Actually, Strype has gone on the record that he'll be stretching out the end timeline. Asuka canonically arrives at school in late September, so accounting for all the Angels and Shinji's month in Unit-01 you do have the last three Angels all within a week of the other.That was pure WAFFy goodness.
