I am not in favor of pestering a traumatised meguca to talk to us. Rather I'd prefer to message her that if she's interested in clear seeds we are the source and are capable of turning 'any' grief seed into a clear seed.

On a different note, we should sing 'Te amo' to Mami.

That Yuuri doesn't want to talk to us is not that unexpected. From her point of view (if Hijiri is telling teh truth), she just got sold out by her only "ally" and probably thinks we intend to convince her of giving up.Dropping her real name or hints about her backstory might get her to talk to us or well at least lead to her screaming at us instead of Hijiri.

Would be really useful to have a magical girl that can track other magical girls using their telepathy channels.
 
I was actually wondering that earlier off thread. Could you connect telepathically to a meguca and another, and then connect again to the same megauca? E.G. Connect a group convo to Mami, Sayaka and Homura AND also connect a seperate convo just to Mami for muminess.

Reason: Could Hijiri and Yurri/Anri be talking to each other if we were already in a group convo with each of them? Too late now, but it might have been a mistake to disconect to attempt a private convo.
 
Uh oh. I feel an impending Witchbomb coming on. Maybe we should encourage Mami to go home if we're not ready to let her know yet.

That's not the way to handle it. Not only would trying to send Mami away be really suspicious to her, it'd hurt her emotionally. At best, we can ask to speak to Yuuri privately once we catch her--which might be sufficient. If we can't get her to see reason, then we can just de-gem her and keep her gem on ice until such a time that we can afford to revive her and deal with her.

I do not believe a DDOS attack is going to work, and we don't want QB to cut us from telepathy for violation of the TOS.

(QBcomm has terrible customer service that makes the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation seem downright amiable.)

People thought I was joking when I suggested "Gooooood morning, Anri Airi!" as an opener. Unfortunately, I fell asleep while writing the post to clarify it was a serious suggestion. orz
 
While I definitely would love to see Sabrina poke at Anri with meta-knowledge, Anri is ultimately a troubled teen- Just casually saying "I know your real name" or "I'll be waiting where she died" is exactly the kind of stuff that would set someone off. What is a very important detail is to know more about what Anri knows and thinks she knows. She's going after the Saints because she blames them for Yuuri's death, but exactly why? There are definitely notable differences in this timeline, so automatically assuming she knows the Witchbomb could go badly.

Nonetheless, given that Anri knew in canon, checking if she does know here would be incredibly helpful. If she does know, then it is a safe bet she was looking for Yuuri's Grief Seed or some way to revive her. Her knowing would also be a lot easier for Sabrina to work with, since she can easily prove her powers and how working with the Saints could restore Yuuri. However, if she doesn't know, it would be harder to convince her "We can rebuild her, we have the technology magic". Though something I just noticed... Has Anri even fought a Witch yet? If she knew they were berserker Meguca with no known cure, why lash out at the Saints? Not like they can purify Soul Gems or toss out Grief Seeds like they're candy.

OK, votewise, I don't think we're getting a meeting through telepathy, but if we're gonna grab her attention by pulling the Airi card, we need to get something substantial out of it.

I guess I'm confused by what exactly Yuuri is screaming about. If that was the case I'd have expected Hijiri to say something like "She thinks I betrayed her" or "She thinks I'm with you now", not "She's still ranting about 'those girls'".

-[] While you're thinking about it, test whether it actually does block telepathy - bring it into range and watch what Hijiri does, try to connect to her by telepathy, etc.

Yuuri not being able to do anything but scream in anger makes me very confused about how she convinced Hijiri of anything, much less that Hijiri was a clone and that Niko was going to go full Mengele on her. In PMKM canon, Hijiri was the mastermind. Yuuri not being able to remain composed adds credence to the idea that's still the case.

Both Hijiri breaking into Niko's lab and her shooting at us and running lead credence to the fact she's a 9. :V

Not that that doesn't mean she's not behind things, but that would just mean Yuuri is even more deranged. Which to be fair, she is.

Yuuri being very angry and suspicious here, in retrospect, is pretty understandable. She got connected to Hijiri and some strange girl and, rather than do introductions or a meet and greet, that girl immediately cuts the connection leaving the two to talk, alone. While said girl interrupts via a private line and extremely worrying information. (We're here from out of town? About the conflict? While she's lying low? What... the... fuck Hijiri.)

Yeah, it speaks that we're not acting as Hijiri's friend and Hijiri looks to Anri like she did something extremely stupid whether she was working with or against us. Either she got captured, or she called in someone who immediately looks pretty dodgy when she probably shouldn't have been calling in anyone at all.

If you're cutting Hijiri off for her own comfort, for heaven's sake, ask her. If we want to talk about her agency, we need to put our money where our mouth is.

Also, this seems like a bad time to use Hijiri as an experimental subject.

I'd recommend something like this:
[] Apologize to Hijiri for making a mess of things. Offer her a cleanse and to block off Yuuri, if she wishes.
 
You know, if we ask Hijiri whether she can track Yuuri with her magic... she could either help us (if she can and wants to), or try to lay a trap for us (if she can't and is in still cahoots with Yuuri).

If Hijiri still feels she can pull off... whatever shit she wanted to pull off, this would be a chance for her to try and make up for her failure to Yuuri.

Or, if we believed Hijiri was actuall Good Hijiri, we could straight up ask her to mislead Yuuri into thinking she's fooled us and to hatch a plot together with her. Then tell us all about it.

Edit: if we want to meme at her untill she stops being anoying then i would recommend that you look up something called the "and no eggs" speech.
